@HerbzUSAF Bring what he told you to bring, he told you to bring that for a reason. One thing you need to learn is to listen to what people say. You won't get away with doing crap like that in basic. All you're going to be wearing is tighty whitey underwear that they'll give to you dude and they'll give you compression shorts there too, so don't even worry about it.
