@johntkooz I don't think it calculates routes for "delivery", however, I have heard that UPS has some software that routes their deliveries so they only take right hand turns for gas savings and speed (right on red = less stopping I guess) . But anyway, I do NOT think you can put in a bunch of points and say go visit them all in any of the garmin products i have.
I believe the "S" stands for Sensor's and think that means it has a barometer - maybe to get more accurate altimeter info? If altitude is important to you, get the CSX.
I think it it worth to have them since if you are in the cave you can measure the dept of it for example.
Owing the device for half a year I think that the device is very powerful in terms of battery life and signal, but better maps load slowly and you need to take some notes if you do geocaching. I would now probably consider Oregon 550, I am not sure
bradtube1 Garmin should give you some money, thanks to your video I decided to purchase one, what software is needed for driving around the united states. mainly the southeast carolinas area. thanks!
I have Garmin City Select which covers entire USA and Canada. I don't know if they make that anymore. I think it's now called Garmin City Navigator. The difference between the two is City Select let you download smaller blocks of maps if you didn't have a lot of memory. I bought additional memory.
Out of the box, this GPS only has a very lousy base map, no local streets.
You will want to buy City Navigator or something like that.
If you're not in North America, I don't know if they have maps, but you could check Garmin's web site and find out.
Click on the link to the right in the video description for more details.
The Garmin Colorado has USA Topo Maps with Streets built-in, but I guess it's not as good as the GPSMap 60CSX for geocaching. No treasure chest symbol stuff.
Garmin recently came out with the "Colorado", which I think sounds even better than this one. I'm sure it's more expensive, but if you're into geocaching, I think it could be a lot better for "paper-less" geocaching - where instead of having to printout the descriptions, you should have all the text right there in your GPS. But I really don't know that for sure.
I bought the US Topo maps and City Select. I spent a lot. The GPS + Topo Maps + City Select + Dashboard mount + bicycle handlebar mount + extra memory... but I don't know how much the total actually was.
Hey, as far as McDonald's goes, they tend to be entered in in different ways. I currently have the Garmin eMap, and if you type Mc Donald's (space included) you get a lot more, that might be the problem. Good review though.
Hello, I'm want to know how to upload waypoints from my sectional map to my helicopters GPS, any suggestions.

You sound like a very nice person. This was also informative.
Random: Calculate routes for...."Delivery"??? Wonder how that would differ.

CSx has sensors:
C - color
S - sensors
x - not sure :)

I dunno what happen if I "missed" one of the roads? ... Stop showing me or ... Warning me ... or countunie on the next road?
GreenDayLanArmstrong 3 years ago 2
If you miss a turn, it re-calculates automatically - might make you do a u-turn or might just send you a different road. It's awesome!

Thank you very much!

How many map packs did you have to buy? What was your total cost with the GPS and all the accessories?
