NATO lead by USA used the albanians as their foot soldiers back in 1999. USA decided to make NATO-state on a piece of Serbian soil. Albanian were there to help, at the same time achieving their own interest of making ethnic-clean Kosovo. NATO and Albanians made one of the worst examples of ethnic-cleansing and torture Europe has seen in 20th century.
Of course, 1999 was not the beginning, since Serbs had to flee Kosovo after your incursion already during Communism and even earlier, but I must point out the ones who had during so-called ''peaceful'' Tito era.

Sorry to burst your imaginary bubble but it is in fact Serbia that has always caused problems. It was first Yugoslavia who tried to overrule people until they had enough and thus that was the end of it. Then, Serbia thought it could take over but its days of land grabbing are over, which explains why the independence of Kosova, being the last region under Serbian rule, has been so devastating to the Serbian people.
Also, the economy in Kosova is not that great due to the fact that we were in a war in 1999 and under Serbian rule for years thus we have not yet had the proper time to develop. I think the key question here really is whether Kosova's secession is in direct violation of 1244, and how legal experts interpret that. There's also certainly some key undeniable facts here, and i think the most vital of which is that majority of the Kosovars do indeed want independence.

Kosovo's true name is Dardania and is historically recognized as Illyrian/Albanian. If you compare the name Dardania with Kosovo you'll see the huge age difference. Since then, we have gained a vast number of improvements in many fields (like economy, politics etc.) due mainly to our 'fresh' independence. I'm not taking anyone's side here, I'm just saying that it was NOT a result of USA or EU politial agendas, because it could never have happened without our decision. How superficial! People should be judged according to their character, behavior, achievements, not their appearance. Anyway, Mr. Jeremic is far from being ugly, but, what is more important he is an extremely intelligent, well educated man. (He graduated from the University of Cambridge, postgraduate studies completed at the University of Harvard). At least that fact deserves respect!

NATO lead by USA used the albanians as their foot soldiers back in 1999. USA decided to make NATO-state on a piece of Serbian soil. Albanian were there to help, at the same time achieving their own interest of making ethnic-clean Kosovo. NATO and Albanians made one of the worst examples of ethnic-cleansing and torture Europe has seen in 20th century.

I really like how this interviewer questions every important aspect regarding Kosova's independence while Jeremic tries to spin his words around in circles in order to avoid such inescapable truths. For example, when talking about the war of 1999, which was an ethnic cleansing attempt by the serbian government and people on the albanian people of Kosova, Jeremic claims it was a war between NATO and Milosevic. Of course, we know that NATO was involved in order to stop the attempted genocide.

It is so obvious what you are trying to say. You are supporting Albanian terrorists which tried, and almost did, to make Serbian province of Kosovo ethnically clean. By terrorizing ALL people in the serbian south province they (albanian terrorists), shooting non-albanians, kidnapping farmers and dropping hand-granades on serbian schoolchildren they hoped to provoke response from Serbia's armed forces.
This interviewer is just extension of that policy, organized by western states.

Sorry to burst your imaginary bubble but it is in fact Serbia that has always caused problems. It was first Yugoslavia who tried to overrule people until they had enough and thus that was the end of it. Then, Serbia thought it could take over but its days of land grabbing are over, which explains why the independence of Kosova, being the last region under Serbian rule, has been so devastating to the Serbian people.

Also, the economy in Kosova is not that great due to the fact that we were in a war in 1999 and under Serbian rule for years thus we have not yet had the proper time to develop. I think the key question here really is whether Kosova's secession is in direct violation of 1244, and how legal experts interpret that. There's also certainly some key undeniable facts here, and i think the most vital of which is that majority of the Kosovars do indeed want independence.

There are many names of Slavic origin in Kosovo due to th fact that Serbia forced Kosovo to be a part of it(1913) without the people of Kosovo wanting to be a part of Serbia.Serbs have since then, done whatever they wanted in Kosovo, they've killed, masacrated innocent ppl and changed many of the true names of the region.

Kosovo's true name is Dardania and is historically recognized as Illyrian/Albanian. If you compare the name Dardania with Kosovo you'll see the huge age difference. Albanians existed in Kosovo/Dardania long before 6th century, when Serbs for the first time came to the Balkans from the the Carpathian mountains of Asia.

Serbs killed around 7 000 Albanians in Kosovo in 1999, 2 000 Serbs were killed by Albanians and around 1 000 others ( Turks, Gypsies, Goranaces ) were killed by Albanians and Serbs. Anyway around hundred thousand Jews were killed in Germany by Germans in WwII and Jews didn´ t get any german´ s territory.. So I don´ t see reason why Kosovo should get indenpendence. Serbs should arrest people who commited crime, Albanians shoud do as well. And that´ s all. Kosovo should stay under serbian control.

Since then, we have gained a vast number of improvements in many fields (like economy, politics etc.) due mainly to our 'fresh' independence. I'm not taking anyone's side here, I'm just saying that it was NOT a result of USA or EU politial agendas, because it could never have happened without our decision. It believe will be the same with Kosovo.

Well, I doubt you would achieve all of that if your country have been pressed and shot at by Germany, USA and all other NATO criminals. That kind of destiny for Slovenia was not an option at all because Slovenia is very small player in the international game and you are aware of that. First Slovenia was a republic of YUGO and kosovo is not a republic and was always part of serbia, therefore no connection can be made between slovenia in the early 90's and the kosovo situation now. Despite the improvments of slovenia, u guys are still and always will be a little pawn when compared to the rest of the world, just like serbia is and croation n bosnia. The usa wannted to create puppet states from Yugoslavia and they did.

I agree that these states did take a partial role in the fragmentation of former Yugoslavia, however the states that have until now managed to obtain independence from Serbian rule, have done this at their own will and with good reasons. My country, Slovenia, which was the first to have obtained independence in 1991, can be an example of declaring one's own independence from Serbia.

There is no integrity for Serbia to protect because its people are guilty of genocide. Rather than acknowledging this fact they assume at best minimum responsibility for the war, its either everyone is guilty or we should just forgive and forget. The serbs were the aggressors of the war and are guilty of crimes against humanity and still feel sorry for themselves at the casualties they faced through the other side defending itself. This is why Kosovo will succeed.

These offers of *great* supervised autonomy (if you can call them that) should have been made b4 the genocide, using Milosevic as the escape goat is not good enough. Why would the Albanians settle for anything less than full independence when they have the moral right and means?
