  • I read It's Kind of a Funny Story last November (I think?) and an currently reading it a second time. I've only reread a book one other time; I am definitely looking forwards to the review :)

  • @Willowheart4321 Awesome! I can't wait to read it :]

  • I didn't really like The Forest of Hands and Teeth much, it didn't live up to my expectations. Kind of a depressing read, really. I didn't know it was part of a series though.

  • @annikasunshine Oh okay. Yeah, there are at least three books in the series.

  • The Great Gatsby is amazing, I read it a few months ago. I found it in my mum's bookcase and I read the back cover, and I just had to read it! It's a classic :)

  • @bridgeydidge96 That's awesome!

  • You were excruciatingly entertaining. I couldn't look away. it was awesome. And I generally don't want review videos. -subscribe-

  • @katmariemusic BEST comment. :D

  • Nicholas Sparks book are a hit or miss with me. But The Last Song was a mega hit for me. I loved it. :)

  • @TotallyBookalicious Good to know! thanks

  • Gatsby is one of my favorite books ever! ^_^

  • @Whoooitsscott Awesome!

  • I've read The Great Gatsby twice now because so many people love it, but I always feel like nothing happens in it. Also, I seem to forget everything about the book the minute I finish it. It's weird, maybe I just have some Gatsby mental block...

  • @ManderleyDreams Aww. Hmmm. I know I block out the books and movies I don't particularly care for. I've seen the 2nd X-Men movie at least three times, and I have no idea what happened in it.

  • i loved Fahrenheit 451

  • @endurancefan369 I'm hoping i will as well!

  • Gatsby was really really tedious.

  • for some reason I just wanna give you a big wet slap across your face but I'm not a hater, I even subscribed!

  • @HeyPusa That doesn't make it any less disgusting.

  • @elizziebooks came back to check the reply and the video started playing... again I got the same feeling and I still want to give you a big wet slap across your face but everything in slow motion this time, I think the water effect will be funny. what do you mean disgusting, I dint mean hit you with my penis or something, I meant my hand! gosh you dirty minded

  • the movie and the book are very very very different. I preferred the movie, but maybe thats just 'cause I saw it first. The book was pleasant.

On Gatsby, don't read too much into it. LOL ignore your english teachers

  • Fahrenheit 451 is really great, I read it in high school and was surprised how much I really enjoyed it. :) happy reading!

  • @thissettlefashion Awesoooome!

  • @elizziebooks It's a funny story is a very good movie, the main female character actually looks a lot like you. I would recommend watching it first, and then reading the book, they tend to be better than the movies.

  • if you have a Borders books near you see if they're closing. They're doing a 50-70% off on all books at the Borders near me. I've gotten about 6 books for $25!

  • @imaclassact There aren't any near me :/

  • Eclectic selection! Good stuff!

  • i dont think i understood one thing in that first minute....

  • @LukeMerren It was all just shiny hair.

  • I've heard good things about Water for Elephants... but I don't really know what it's about, either. Nothing a quick google search can't solve!

I've been meaning to read The Great Gatsby as well, but my list of books is already so long right now. Hopefully, I'll get to it before the year ends...

  • @maculata woo!

yeahhhh hopefully I can read it SOON.

  • Yeah I really hate going onto a coffee shop and expecting a nice tall freaking coffee and getting a shot glass for $5 dollars. Sweet Haul, man I still have to read Water for Elephants.

  • @sadomirth THIS. Yes.

  • my hair is really dry right now

  • @megamanx27 NICE

  • Water for Elephants is awesome. The Great Gatsby is probably one of the best books I have ever read, very memorable. I think you'll love it :) I've been meaning to read one of Nicholas Sparks' books, but never really gotten around to it because I don't think it'd really be my cup of tea soI can't wait to hear your review of The Last Song.

  • @CaroCiaoxD Yeah, I don't know if I'll really like Nicholas Sparks' writing, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

  • @chlsbshp Agreed! I've damaged my hair too many times with blow dryers. xD

  • the help it's an awesome book really really good as soon as you read let us know what you think about it!

  • @pasquannina90 Definitely!

  • You picked up a lot of great books though, btw:)

  • go to swap.com and trade your books for new oneeess!:) :)

  • @sawnovcow cooooool! and thanks :D

  • @MegaBookNut yeah, it has a lot of southern dialect and it takes a while to read.

  • I love your videos, but I watch them in the background of doing other things, so PLEASE say the title and author when you change books, I glance away too much and it makes it confusing XP

  • @SableCaught Right-o! I meant to say them. And after editing I was thinking, "Did I even?!" :P

  • @elizziebooks Sorry, I just looked down and was mashing like three books together.

  • @SableCaught LOL! It's okay. No worries.

  • You should definitely give Dear John another try! It is one of my favorite books <3

Also, if you like The Last Song you should check out The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks which is completely amazing :)

  • @TokioHotelLiebe9180 Okay! I shall try.

Yeah, the movie for that is supposed to come out next fall!

  • Haha yeah you did get a lot of books! I really liked it's kind of a funny story. I was so surprised when I saw it was going to be turned into a movie. Especially with Zack G. in it. I enjoyed the movie but I think the book was better bc of course it had more details.

  • @lululala139 I looove Zack G.

  • Great haul Liz! :) I haven't read Water for Elephants, or read the books :P It looks like a pretty good movie though! The Last Song was a good book, I liked it! But... I didn't really like the movie, lol.

  • @TheArtsygal12 Yeah, some of Nicholas Sparks' books just don't translate like others.

  • I love Dear John and The Last Song! Water for Elephants... not so much.

  • @Swimminginbooksx LOL! Good to know. :]

  • @chlsbshp wooo!

  • Water for Elephants is AMAZING!!!

  • Bookstores are so dangerous.

  • @chelseariffic Truth, Chelsea. Truth.

  • @elizziebooks Also, I somehow knew you were going to pull out some sort of Nicholas Sparks book (no, not because I read the description first) and yet it still made me giggle since you're always saying to avoid him. Also because that book was written for Miley Cyrus.

  • @chelseariffic Yeahhhh. I thought I'd at least try to give him a fair chance. I mean, there has to be an explainable reason as to why my mom loves him. Other than the picture on the back of all of his books.

  • @elizziebooks I've only read a couple. They weren't life changing or anything, but they were pretty engrossing and fast reads.

  • Oh gosh, if you can't get a copy of Forest of Hands and Teeth let me know, I'll send one to ya. It is amazing. And I read The Great Gatsby in high school, and I didn't really appreciate it then. I'm planning on re-reading it soon. This is such a great haul, I love how you got tons of completely different books. :)

    -Jessica

  • @ChapterChicks I think I just need to go to the other bookstore or the library. I think they just ran out of copies. I mean, the only had about one copy of Sweetly left on the shelves.

Thanks! I would say I try to get a variety, but it was just a coincidence :D

  • I'm gonna have to start going to barnes and noble now. I miss borders :(

  • @LikeSoTotallyRandom B&N and Books-a-million are great! Definitely keep supporting the physical stores.

  • Your video did make me smile Liz, love your energy, very funny! Will take you quite a bit of time to get through all those books, good luck!!! Sally :)

  • @sallyneill Aww thanks!

  • I highly recommend ULTRAVIOLET by RJ Anderson, it's a mental health / sci fi / romance.. it's just amazing! :D

I really enjoyed WATER FOR ELEPHANTS! THE LAST SONG was good.. it made me cry, but I don't know if it's for everyone.

I also want to recommend TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee. If you havent read that already, you should! :)

  • I read "The Great Gatsby" and "Fahrenheit 451" in English class. I would have to say that my favorite out of the two is "Fahrenheit 451" :) Although, "The Great Gatsby" was good as well.

  • @BooksareBeautiful22 Cool cool! I can't wait to read them.

  • I read Ned Vizzini's autobiography and it was A+. I should pick up that other book...

  • @almostlaurel oh yes. yes yes eys.

  • I'm reading The Help too. I really like it so far. Did you see the movie?

  • @OliviaNobody I saw the movie beforehand because my mom really wanted to see it. REALLY good. It made me cry. I mean, WHAAAT I am so not a crying person. :P

  • @elizziebooks Yeah my grandmother and I went to see it and we cried too! It was great!

  • Yes! You READ The Great Gatsby, Liz :D

That's like, totally not the reason why I clicked on this... nope...

  • It's Kind of a Funny Story is my favourite book ever. :) The film is really good too.

  • @laurenreadsya Ah yayyy!

  • The Water for Elephants is good. I Stayed up with no sleep trying to finish it 12 hours before I watch the movie but failed miserably :)

  • @Cosmo0819 Oh wow! That tells me that it's good :D

  • P.S. We read The Great Gatsby in high school, and as I am ridiculously busy all the time I read about 2 chapters of it. That needs to be rectified.

  • @outsidergirl Yeah it does.

  • I feel the need to read Water For Elephants as well since people keep telling me to do so. BOOK CLUB? :)

  • @outsidergirl Yeahhhh. Oh, yeah, he mentions it every once in a while on vlogbrothers.

  • Water for Elephants is a really wonderful read! You should give adult fiction a try more often! Also, "The Help" is so far a fabulous novel! So amazing!

  • @VivaLaMakeupTV Yayyy! Yeah, i'm about 70 pages into The Help

  • I loved "Fahrenheit 451"! The movie isn't exactly a "true to the book" experience but it's still quite good!

  • @Bazpierce I assumed as such. He just said he thought it was good and creepy. lol!

  • I really need to read It's Kind of a Funny Story. I thought the movie was really good, and everybody's told me the book is better, so yeah.

The Great Gatsby is one of my favorites!

  • @mothereffingbooks Yeah you do! :P The movie looks great.

Wooo I can't wait to read it.

  • I still haven't read The Great Gatsby either. I really want to read a lot of books I missed out on in Highschool. Also, Steve Martin is my spirit animal.

  • @WoahItsKimber That's what I'm trying to do. Little bit by little bit.

    Ohyes, he is so awesome.
