This is exactly what is happening in our government, we pretend to get things done when in reality we are serving no purpose except to gain votes. Solutions keep being proposed and passed that don't really help at all but instead cover up the bigger issue. Even though we obviously don't actually have big white boxes for polar bears, that would just be covering up the larger issue - what can we do to make it so there aren't dead polar bears in the first place?

ok im doing a project on global warming and as i take it, Jean Chretien signed the kyoto protocal even though he knew he could not make the targets and the Harper Ditched the kyoto protocal and did the clean air act because even though Global warming is unproved smog still is bad so we should takel smog with a new plan since we can't meet kyoto anyway.

Global warming is blatantly and without a doubt happening as a result of greenhouse gas emissions primarily as a result of the burning of coal to produce electricity. Lesser pollutants are oil and natural gas, oil being the more polluting.

Here's some more "leftwing bullshit" for right wing ignorants: Polar bears are on the "Threatened" list and have only been excluded from the "Endangered" list because of money-hungry oil dealers like Sarah Palin, who don't want restrictions placed on where they can drill and destroy the environment. There are about 22,000 of them left and because of global warming and oil polluters, this number is expected to decrease by 2/3 by the year 2050.

Corner Gas is meant to appeal to people from small towns in the praeries, and it is a family show, and family shows usually aren't particularly popular. Long story short, it isn't the best example of Canadian programming being popular in the states, but if shows like 22 minutes and Air Farce never existed, there wouldn't be a Daily Show or The Colbert report. Also might I add that the Red Green show was very popular in the states too.

Trust me. I know that New Orleans was below sea level. But what flooded it? A hurricane!Yes they are natural, but Katrina was unusualy bad. Most hurricanes reach Florida and sometimes a little further and then that was it. But to get to New Orleans was something...and still a category 4 or 5. And the polar bears are dying.
