I don't look at it that way. If/when a depression happens, the Febs will also be out of money also. The Feds are just living on credit and don't know it, (kind of like CA a couple of years ago! ) Obama is spending money as fast as he can. It will be a Depression partly be design and partly be stupidity. Some are hoping to redistribute the wealth by causing a depression.  CA will be laying off many state, city, county employees. Michigan and Nevada are also in a mess and others to follow.

Is not the act of nullification undoing the over reaching bloated federal government? i have read his writings , they were good , but they were also from 200 years ago , times have changed , we've changed . As for people being lead by the senate and executive branch , that's called democracy , it would be no different than if state governments were leading us . i in no way propose giving up the government we now have , but i do respect the emergency we find ourselves , and just like in war time we will have to grant the government greater powers to sort things out .

I have to disagree with that was 200 years ago & we have changed. People are people no matter what the time it is. Personal freedom and liberty has rung through the centuries. Granting the government greater powers is a scary thought. That is what the people of Germany, Japan, Soviet Union, Italy did and look what happened there. Stalin and Lenin killed 10's of millions. The power should reside with individual citizens in a republic. Should we suspend habeas corpus for example?

i beleive in doing whatever is necessary to perserve our way of life . Once the economy collapses there will be complete disorder . we must have ORDER . We will end property rights , seeing most people won't have jobs , wherever they are living is where they will continue to live . The government will reorder and distrutbe resources as it sees fit in order to keep the food supply going and the electricty grid working . unemploymed people will be retrained and slotted into areas the gov wants .
