  • i would read the blog more. however in my case i pencil and do inks digitally. and the Youtube channel is convenient in that I can just click and listen to you guys while i ink, or draw. works out pretty well.

  • How do i feel about that? I would be mad.

After my iron man sucribition runs out, i am just going stop buying marvel comics. In the past i used to buy more marvel then dc but now i buying more dc, image, and dark horse comics. I have stop buying marvel comics.

  • i havent seen anyone who likes cap reborn

when i was in my LCS last week picking up my books 4 or 5 ppl made a point to comment how much they thought cap reborn sucks and how its dragging i never heard a unanimous opinion voiced that way in the shop

  • 4:44-4:55, Never seen Jose laugh like that ever before. That was an awesome priceless moment!

  • Cool recommendations. I have to agree that the Pet Avengers should of been in a digest form, even as a regular comic reader, just due to the fact that I'm more likely to pick up more off the wall stuff if it's in a cheaper smaller format.

  • I read Sugar Shock after your review, I am disappoint it's nothing but "LOL SO RANDOM XD" humor.

  • Wow. I am completely shocked that you didn't like it. /sarcasm

    J.

  • hey cani ask where you guys get the top ten lists? I've always wondered lol

  • i really like the powers hardcover collections, and the wasteland vol 1 collection.

  • I think the oversized hardcover of Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers looks great.

See over here when I was a kid there would be a yearly hardback annual for all the weekly comics and they were great, I still have a few Battle, Warlord, Beano and Dandy annuals.

  • at this point i dont give a shit what happens to cap. america. marvel has made me not care anymore.

  • I have to blame that terrible Civil War event for the Cap Reborn problems. Really who at Marvel thought it was a good idea to have so many iconic heroes act like such pricks, sure short term it was interesting to see everyone in the Marvel U go into douchbag mode. But we are still feeling the long term effects of it. Without Civil War there would be no need to have a Cap Reborn series, or have Hickman fixed Reed Richards, or Fraction fix Tony Stark. I think it telling that some of the best stuff

  • Marvel is putting out right now has to do with Marvel heroes getting back to their roots and acting like, wait for it, Heroes! In fairness it does make for some interesting reading to see guys like Richards and Stark get back there and Cap coming back, but fans shouldn't have to shell out so much money to see it happen. Marvel should be cutting prices, not raising them, to make atonement for Civil War.. but that's just me =)

  • Part of the overall problem with Cap's death and rebirth is that it all got caught up in Marvel's BS mega events.

From everything I gather these last few years, I believe that Cap's death and rebirth was something that Brubaker was something that he always had in mind, but then it got all caught up in "Civil War" which made Cap's death come off more like a tacked on gimmick.

If Civil War never happened, I think fans would be overall enjoying this cap story more.

  • Damn Johnny, are we on the same wavelength or what =)

  • I also think part of the problem is that fans are expecting to "Be Blown Away" with every single issue of this series. The story itself is sound. But Brubaker is a more subtle writer, which is why I believe fans are thinking he's not trying on this.

  • nah, I loved Brubakers 42 issue epic that brought the Cap/Bucky/Red Skull story together but Reborn is just a phenomenally padded out synopsis of that first 42 or so issues.

It has added very little and recapped a hell of a lot. The first 4 issues of reborn could easily have been told in one and a half 2.99 issues not 4 x 3.99 issues.

  • I agree with you on Marvel editorial and leadership failing to deliver the book on time, and with the extra issues they are adding, and the 3.99 price.

I think readers are projecting their rage from all the technical problems they have with the book onto Brubaker and the story to Reborn itself.

  • Who will weild the sheild by Tony Dani-err never mind.

PS Why bother buying Cap Reborn. He comes back. Thats all I need to know.

BTW Marvel is not ALL bad. There are some writers and such that keep the Marvel spirit alive. Personally I think if you just got rid of Loeb from Marvel, the entire Marvel U would benefit. Loeb I think is just a DC spy who is intentionally ruining Marvel books. I mean he did much better writing for DC.

There must be some disease that is hurting once good writers.

  • I agree it's not ALL bad at Marvel. They do have Parker, Hickman, Diggle, Slott and Fraction. It seems that as long as those guys are there I will continue to buy Marvel books.

    J.

  • what about remender? hes not bad

  • After what he did to Frank Castle I'm not so sure about that anymore. We'll see.

    J.

  • at least he is doing something new with the charecter and not jsut making him the same vigilante that just shoots at the mob

  • For some reason, what he did to the Punisher sounds stupidly interesting to me. I know it's stupid, but it just intriuges me for some unknown reason.

  • I didnt like it w/ Flash Rebirth went from 5 to 6 issues w/ the long delays of EVS. I still remeber the LOOONNGGG delays Superman Last Son taking 18 months yes 18 FUCKING months to complete a story by a Kubert wrapped in an annual. There is patience but being ripped off to complete a miniseries these days of either of the big two makes you want to wait for for the trade.

  • The last issue of Cap: Reborn (#4) was actually pretty good. The story is finally starting to go somewhere. I'm a Brubaker fan and a Cap fan, so I'm going to stick this one out, but it would have been REALLY nice if marvel could have kept these 7 issues contained in the main series and kept it at $2.99, or at least kept the story to 5 issues that we were committing to buy in the first place. But, we are talking about marvel after all, they seem to enjoy bleeding their fans dry.

  • Marvel pulled a gangsta move I feel violated
