They came to China and performed in our school that's really cool and I got their signatures. Many students there have took photos with them But I was little shy and didn't get any pics with them

I just found this band and I'm really enjoying it. There's something about her voice - maybe there's some distortion on it? It subtly reminds me of east indian music.

On the comment below about minimalism - I thought it was about reducing ego's roll and appreciating the bare elements of music? Is this even the right context to start imposing that sort of criteria? It has a vocal melody (mostly minor pentatonic) and drum set. I could be wrong but it seems like kinda tribal/soul indie.

This minimalistic kind of music requires a voice that is impressive, whether it is in power or in sound and perhaps some brilliant lyrics. This girl's voice isn't special in any way and you can't hear what she's singing anyway(which wouldn't matter if she had a special voice). To be able to make this kind of minimalistic music work, they must be tremendously skilled and talented in the instruments that they play. This gets old quick.

Speaking as a trained (and highly skilled...) musician I think you are wrong in referring to some objective qualitative musical standards when making your assumptions. It's all just a matter of taste: I like it and you don't. Fair enough.

I listened to a program here in the swedish radio P1 a couple of days before, where there was more deepgoing information about this. Very interesting and: both of them have studied music at university level. So you are right jonasandre07. I think it is easy to notice that this is an advanced artwork. I really like this minimalistic stuff and especially her voice on it.
