  • Can chlorine in the water hurt tegus or monitors?

  • @N4ASTYxKILLZ yes, you kneed a dechlorinated pool

  • I have a savannah monitor and I would like to know, would the chemicals harm it if I wanted it to go for a swim?

  • I was reading some of these comments, and some of these people are morons..every other comment was "is there chlorine!? your going to kill it!"

  • ANIMAL CRUELTY LOL JOKING!!!!

  • I agree with crimses cuz the other dude talks as if he studied humans in a lab. Maybe they talk to them cuz she's crazy,or cuz she has noone else,or its smart like u would talk to a dog cuz they understand words like "sit".

  • What a beauty! I wish I could swim like that. He looks like a torpedo. Nice monitor!

  • do you have chlorine in there if you do that will kill him

  • @whitewolf037 she has said this a million times. There is a zero chlorine level in the pool, the man pictured in the video is a pool guy!

  • I love me a monitor lizard, but why are people talking to them like they have human emotion as if the lizard was a young child?

  • @CronusandRhea when somone loves a pet like a member of the family they tend to do that its just a show of affection..

  • @crimses This very behavior gets people hurt, for instance the lady who had her face ripped off by a chimp, her friends chimp who was trusted too much. Just treat the monitor like you would a gun, be safe and nerver put it in your face.

  • @CronusandRhea well of course there animals that goes without saying but when you really love an animal some people just talk to them im not sure why like i dont know wy humans use hand gestures when talking weve just adopted the behivior

  • @crimses Not gonna argue with you, just hope these people are not too relaxed with the monitor.

  • @CronusandRhea because, when you raise something from when it's hatched you get an attachment to it, just as you would a kitten, a puppy, or even a child. i love my pets, don't you?

  • AWESOME PET

  • where the fuck would you keep that thing!

  • @MrFisheez in a tararium of some sort

  • what is that

  • salt water pool?

  • Its always fun taking your monitor in for a swim in your pool!

i have a bearded dragon.. do u know if they swim like that??

  • @AngTheDino

I know for a fact they can, but they don't like it very much. Usually. They can puff up by sucking in air to help them float.

  • @AngTheDino they can swim a lil but nothing like that. adult beardies should have baths in about 2 or 3 inches of water to be safe

  • awesome lizard!!

  • its cool to watch them in there enclosure but even better when they swim

  • you should be careful if puting lizards into swimming pools incase of parasites or chlorine

  • what type of lizzard is it

  • its crazy how nobody reads what she wrote. She clearly says the pool has ZERO CHLORINE like 50 times.

    Anyway nice monitor!!

  • thanks and thanks!!!!

  • no chlorine!

  • Wicked... majestic little swimmer.

  • ok ive seen a lot of vids like this im pretty damn sure tha clorine is harmful

  • He's a strong swimmer.

  • my name is robbie lol

  • I have to say my water dragon got out a few times and jumped in a chlorinated pool. It didnt harm him,but I will admit I was scared. He was lifeless quite some time, but came back OK within the hour. They can stay underwater so long, that is why is scared me.

  • @Jonahstrials

if you smoke does it hurt you? no of course not. how do i know this? i watched the 10 yr old boy do it and he LOOKED fine. now if you're thinking "you`re an idiot" i agree. now how do you think your statement looks to me?

  • thats huge

  • absolutely no chlorine! my bf is a pool man!

  • WOW very beautifull i just hope there is no chlorine in the pool at the time

  • i know its none of my business but dosent the pool have clorine

  • impressive

  • What type of lizard is that?

  • its a water monitor.

  • i thought it was a chinese water dragon?

  • no water dragons max 3 feet and are green, water monitors max 9 feet and are greyish

  • thanks

  • awsome lizard verry pretty

  • would an iguana get hurt if it did that

  • wow... what a beautiful lizard :)

  • thanks so much!! we luv her!!!!!!

  • @sammyd127 can it swim...i didnt no that lizards swim..

  • @SqueakyIsMadeOfLove alligator? It swims like one

  • @Dragon050593 so is it a alligator?

  • wow i love when people fight go talk to a fucking profecinal all the ones saying it will go blind it will no matter wat, and the pool has to be fucking clean cuz shit can get in its eyes and don't put a fucking leash on it when its in water it brings it more weight, for one.

  • OMG it looks like an otter at first but then she gets closer and u see the scales, beautiful lizard

  • I think you can let them swim in the pool but just wash them off really good around their body and eyes.

  • u people are fucked up unless u want your lizard to die cuz of the clorine in the pool!!

  • LIZARD WONT DIE

    it would just go blind

  • no it wouldent go blind its eyesight wold deteriorate for a bit than come back

  • You people are stupid, I have a saltwater pool that doesnt need chlorine so shut the fuck up.

  • Mexicans with an Iguana...classic!

  • its not an iguana its a moniter

  • @Declethor You're an ignorant idiot

  • @Declethor ....that's not an iguana.....

  • cool but at least take the leash off.

  • I doubt it would have killed the lizard, we have a few wild water dragons that regularly take dips in our pool, plus a blue tongue lizard that sometimes has a little 'spa' in the pools of water that collect on the solar cover for the pool.. hasn't killed them.. but in any case, that was awesome.. I love watching lizards/dragons swim..

  • "god sweet cheeks, i love you so much"

    lmao xD

  • not dangerous ? there's so much toxic products in a pool

  • i would not swim in that pool again

  • the chlorine in the pool would have killed any existance of Salmonella or other bacteria.

  • wat r u taking about

  • yeah thats a good thing thats why you should bathe the lizzards once a week

  • damn thats a ugly lizzard !! green iguanas are cuter :P

  • aww cutee

  • damn he took off

  • ya just kill it by giving it chlorine

  • is that clorine and would that hurt them or make them sick?

  • it would kill them

  • oh yes it will for a second there i thought you said I WOULD KILL THEM

  • What lizard is that??

  • asian water monitor!

  • DAT THANG IS HUGE!!!!

  • sos ure mum lol

  • "ur mom" died a while ago..

  • nope shes still alive. go play with ure ferrets ye gay

  • haha yeah...no. and yes i will play with my ferrets.. and im straight

  • hahaha yeah right u just keep thinking that wile every1 laughs at u cos uer a big queer

  • The chlorine in the water could damage your lizard very badly :( i recomend not putting him in the pool again. And if any problems have happend since you put him in the pool you should get him checked on imdediatly.

  • it obviously has no chlorine in

they're clearly not stupid enough to do that

  • says who? smart people do stupid things all the time, like making the atom bomb. =p

  • very nice water dragon looks really cool and is a calm swimmer

  • its not a water dragon its a monitor.

  • where do you get a monitor been looking for one forever

  • that is a very cool lizard.

  • I was wondering about the chlorine too, I have a bearded dragon and when I bath him in the tub I have to rinse it very carefully first cause I know they pick up stuff through their skin. How are the monitors on that? is it different cause I know they are more prone to be in water period. Your lizard is georgus though, I would love one but they are too advanced for me yet.. :)

  • stupid!!!!

  • no its a chinese water dragon a monitor s way bigger

  • te tag says water moniter so yea lol

  • holy crap that thing is huge what the hell is it ? no offence.

  • i hope you cleaned the pool after that

  • WHAT IS THAT?

    XD

  • WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING?! ITS HUGE!

  • hey buddy much like everyone else i worry for the poor lil guy so uhh no chlorine XD can u msg me when u get this lol i wanna make sure that u dont have to deal with a dead lizard cause that made me cry a couple years back =( but im a pussy XD

  • go ahead and kill it with chlorine

  • the chlorine is gonna give her skin infections..

  • one of my mates has resident water dragon that makes use of his pool regualry, its not an uncommon occurence. It rests on the bottom of his pool and we have to get the pool scoop out to disturb him if we want to swim.

  • it's a water monitor and the clorine in the pool will give him skin infections man XD

  • hey nice video =) 5/5
