hey u know wat 1 is better than none. that was nice. i shot my first and biggest carp out of a trout stream. my first was about 8lbs and my biggest is 35lbs.bowfishing is a great sport and a lot of fun 2.

Common carp were brought to north america, by canadian and american gov's as a source of food, because other native species had heavy fishing pressure, so they introuduced the carp.

Carp have been here now for over 100 years, in canada they have been here longer than smallmouth bass, they are naturalized now, most of stigma attatched to carp, is BS.

If you want, a fish that is smart, fights hard, and gets big carp fishing is the best, it just boggles my mind why youd want to waste these fish.

I'm from canada, and i dont have to kill common carp, dont get common carp confused with asian carp/silver carp, two different species.

I dont eat carp either, i just fish for them, for sport. I just dont believe all the bs about carp being bad, considering they've been here for over 100 years.

i live in new jersey. we dont have silver carp here. only commons and grass carp. and i have in the past fished for commons, takes to long to catch em though. u get more and bigger carp bowfishing. biggest carp ive got wit the bow is 35 lbs. biggest wit the pole is around 6-8 lbs. ive shot 11 carp in a day before. and thats a bad day, windy, and overcast. on a good day ur looking at 20

if you want to catch a fish that puts up an awsomw fight go catch musky. and ive had carp pull my boat around before. bowfishing is a real challenge. it may look easy but youve gotta count for water refraction, water clarity, finding where the fish are, and wat position to put the boat in to get a shot without spooking the fish. its a lot harder than it looks. try it, its not so bad carp are trash fish anyway

Oh lord in heaven. Just because a fish eats live bait, doesn't mean its not a bottom feeder, a sturgeon is also a bottom feeder, as are catfish. When i used to waste my time on bass, i used to use crank baits, and i caught carp (hooked in the mouth) on cranks tons of times. Get your facts straight dude.

Secondly, no fish fights like a carp period. Period. The only fish that rivals a carp's fight, is a trout/salmon. Period. I've cut my fingers on my spool when trying to stop a running carp.

Thats the most outrageous thing ive ever heard. Completely out of hand. in many eastern european countries, carp are considered a delicacy, and alot of other countries enjoy carp meat. I hope one day, carp fishing, and carp arent a "niche" fish, and they can be respected as a proper sport fish. Check out fish'n canada, pete bowman thinks carp are pretty good, infisherman has also covered carp fishing. I know what catfish eat, i catch them on carp bait all the time. A fish can be a hunter, and a scavenger too. Catfish will eat everything a carp does.
