Nice post. I imagine with data like this riders can fine tune their pacing to maximize performance. I wonder if one could sustain a higher average wattage by avoiding the max wattage in the beginning. I would love to see different splits being used to see if one to reduce the severe roll off on the last 200 meters.
Wattage display is probably downloaded from something like a Power Tap hub. It will record speed, power, rpm, and torque, and will load the data into the computer. Interesting power curve - looks like a Wingate test. Except this one is a about a minute long and the longest Wingate I have done is 30 seconds. The 30 second test is PAINFUL!

Actually, my cadence should be higher, so i'm not going fast enough or my gear is to big.
