  • haha vintage Truman Show

  • This is one of few episodes where Chilly and Smedley are shown as friends. I never really saw Smedley as Chilly's enemy, just Chilly as a bit of an annoyance to Smedley.

  • I screamed like a girl when I saw Woody Woodpecker.

They don't make cartoons like they use too anymore..

  • Another good 'un, and again directed by Sid Marcus. For a time in the mid-1960's, his short-lived unit at Lantz offered what Leonard Maltin called a "final dose of adrenaline" at the studio in the form of these shorts that worked entirely within their formula, but offered some surprisingly good quality moments. As for the Smedley (often spelled Smedly) character, Tex Avery said it best: "...Shucks, you couldn't do anything with a little fuzzy wuzzy penguin!"

  • smedly was a flat out riot......

  • You said it. Smedly was always the real star of these Chilly Willy shorts.

  • Brings back memories as a kid! I love Chilly Willy! C:

  • It didn't work

  • Smedley can't win with Chilly Willy. But Woody Woodpecker's cameo was cool.

  • He can't win with Woody either.

  • aw! that brings back so many happy memories! thank you! xxx

  • Hawaii here I come! It didn't work! LOL I so loved this ep as a kid, and especially adored Woody's cameo! :) Thanks for posting this! :)
