I'm not even that huge of a Metfan, but I'm sooo fed up of people complaining about Lars. Lars is a fucking good drummer. He may not be as flashy as some others, but drumming is not all about displaying technical abilities (which is what makes a lot of today's metal boring imo). Lars has a very precious thing, and that is feeling, and a knack for interesting and efficient patterns. He'll always choose the one one that works best in the song. And that's all I ask of a musician.

Lars is half Drummer and half Song writer. He writes just about

as much lyrics and riffs as James and Kirk. Kirk made the Enter Sandman

Riff, but then Lars perfected it.

This album was released in August of 1988. Any of you who think Lars sucks is just a royal dumbass!!!!!!! Its been 23 years and im sure the band has aged too. You will slow down as you get older, if you can do any better than Lars then i suggest you get in touch with them and let them know you are a better drummer than him. Hell they may let you drum for them, i doubt it though! BTW rock died when Nirvana come out and changed the sound and pace. Rock hasnt been right since the early nineties!!!

Interesting that they kept the recorded intro in E standard tuning, instead of dropping it to Eb. It sounds weird when they come in to the song and it is a different tuning. Usually they drop their intro tapes down, like they did for Fight Fire with Fire when I saw them live.
