@Alex1M6 I think I used .wmv 3 Mbps. I have also used .mp4 3 Mbps and it looks pretty good. Higher bitrates will give you a better picture, they just take longer to upload.
Nice demo! I have this camera too, but I don't use steadyshot cause I make more closer stuff, and it blurs drasticly. I'd appreciate if someone knows how to insert the date/time characters in the capture.
It has a USB port, but you can't capture video through a USB cable. You can download photos through it, but you have to use firewire to capture video.
Amazing camera. Top notch quality. Just tell me something. GOD TELL ME that you can put this in full screen format on the camera? I prefer full screen.
I'm not sure what you're talking about. The longer your focal length (the further zoomed in you are), the more steady you have to hold the camera to keep the image looking steady. A fisheye is a very wide angle lens and has the opposite effect: camera shakes have a less obvious effect on the image. You generally don't need to use steadyshot with a fisheye.
You can manually set the white balance and the exposure. I don't think there is any way to set the contrast or the color in the camera, but that can be done in post-processing with editing software.
so for taking videos, would you highly recommend this camera?

apureterror 2 years ago
I've never done it, but I read you can connect it to the PC with a USB cable and use it as a webcam.

Yes, PC's and macs, you just need a firewire port to capture the video.

Does it work on a Mac?
CompHelperKid 3 years ago
Yes, it works on any computer with a firewire input. The camera has a firewire output, which is the only way to capture video from it.
cameratest 3 years ago
Ohhh is it a DV out or i.Link output?? Or IEE394?
CompHelperKid 3 years ago
i.Link is the same as IEEE1394, which is also known as firewire. That's how this camera outputs video to a computer.

Aaaahh okay thanks

I heard something about fisheyes shaking when people use them. How would you stop this?

Ok that answers my question.

If you have used a Panasonic PVGS-320,
Would you recommend spending another $100 for it?
(Moneys tight for me.)
