  • no offence but it looks ghetto. nyc FTW!

  • I used to live in LA and this video brings back some great memories. I did that walk several times while listening to oldies on KRLA on my transister radio.

  • LOL Here in Tampa we have move people walking around. F LA CHICAGO FTW!

  • I love LA lived here my entire life. So much to do, Hollywood movies, Beverly Hills shopping, Santa Monica surfing, Downtown business, Clubs, shopping,Angel and Dodger Baseball, Stapels and Nokia center for basketball and hockey, movie stars, porn stars, skating, music, nice people. Love it c:

  • After watchin this video it makes me wonder how people can live in LA and well, any big built up area but maybe i'm not used to it I live in a village in wales so yeh.. nice vid anyways

  • 1:41 i lived around there for 6 years, and i live in tokyo now.

  • Well there are loads The ones I went to were Hollywood And Highland, Sunset Strip, Universal City and Santa Monica Beach. All were great. There are lots more though I didn't have a car and was able to do these fine on public transport If you drive then there are lots more options

  • It's not that far a walk really you could do it in a few hours prob if you're driving you're stuck in traffic a lot of the time

  • I SEE NO TRAFFIC ...WHO THAT HATERS EWHO SAY ITS TRAFFIC CONGESTED ? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD NYC TRAFFIC = GROWING BEARDS INSIDE CAR

  • los angeles is one of the safest big cities as well as new york in america ,how do i know i google it,miami, st. louis, atlanta ,have the highest levels

  • i miss LA im from Mexico but i loved and respected California and still

  • LA is so dirty and disgusting.

  • the easy button wouldve gave you a car

  • It would be better if it were a car, go on foot?

    Fernando

    From Brasil

  • lol its your hope to live inskidrow. thats what this is at night the tents come out and the addicts as well. trust me you dont want to live in la it is one of our nations biggest failures of a major city.

  • Cool vid! I stayed 2 weeks at the Palomar Hotel on Wilshire Blvd and loved the area, Westwood was friendly but sad to say I didn't walk as far as you!! I did walk from Santa Monica to Hollywood but only because I wanted to walk up Sunset Strip, and I felt safer than I do in most cities in the UK. Quite a few homeless people about but on the whole they were harmless, not as bad as Vegas.

  • Amazing.

  • holy caca how long did that take you?

  • cool video next stop.. the great Crenshaw Blvd walk

  • my future home! i hope its my dream to live in LA

  • great video! i work on wilshire and waited to see if i got a shot...no luck. I love LA!

  • Wow you must be in good shape :D

  • Some great shots, but it's shot so quickly that it's a blur-montage instead of memorable.

  • nice vid. i guess this walk finished you off... in case of you did it non-stop...

  • My favorite parts of LA: Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Venice, Westwood, Century City, and Downtown.

  • four million people? there's bound to be a shooting or two lol. definitely no need to be worried though.

  • @ tobiaswac first i want to know if you walked or rode a bike all those 16 miles?

and was there a reason for you crossing the street on highland ave, then on santa monica blvd, then on selby ave and last on westwood blvd???

anyways it was a really good video great job.

  • (tobiaswac) Here some advice......

Stay wherever you are. Dont come here... You will be shot as you get off the plane....

    I love LA

  • Does anyone know where I can find the first tune from this video.... Ive tried looking but i can never find this exact one?

Awesome video by the way, i'd love to do this walk

  • I'm gonna do the same thing, except in a car.

  • SHEESH. I can only imagine how your feet must of felt after that walk. I'm going to LA this May so we'll be doin some serious walking like this but not as long distant.

  • wicked video. sick tunes too!

  • Cool video.

  • L.A or London?

  • L.A.

  • 0:16-0:17 you passed my high school! its in that small high rise building. theres a famima at that corner now too.

  • i wanna go to L.A so badd im so tired of NYC is so wack

  • L.A is amazing but so dirty :s

  • woohoo you walked by my house! :)

  • RESPECT!

  • People that are hating on LA are those people who live in boring places like Utah or something.

Born and raised in LA! I've been in many tourist places in the USA, but there's nothing like LA!

  • @geekybutpretty101 If theres wasn't so much bad Crime i'd move there. I live in a boring city.

  • @geekybutpretty101 Yeah, you're right, there's no place like LA, but not in all good aspects. NY has better class in my eyes, and more of that "better" feel.

  • @geekybutpretty101 I agree! I've traveled the world. Been to every continent. I'd rather live no where else but LA.

  • @geekybutpretty101 new yorks better...

  • So, anyway. Let me finish my story, will ya? I'm walking downtown from Mack and Gratiot, and I'm walking by the old Strohs beer plant, and its cold. As I walk by the plant ...all this green like mist comes shooting out from these spigots they got pushed into the concrete walls to let off pressure. Shit is nasty. So, by the time I get to work, I got all this green smelly nasty beer shit all over me. And the guys at work would say shit like "You walk by Strohs again?" and stupid shit like that.

  • love L.A

  • Chicago is cool, just that there is to many puerto ricans out there.

  • i hope you didnt walk there =P

  • This is a great video! My favorite parts are when the camera is moving through the MacArthur Park neighborhood and those high-rises in Westwood.

  • Its all about LA bro. i was skating with ma friends on wilshire too. thats crazy that u made a vid on it. going down to santa monica beach. then we headed up all the way to long beach

  • Blimey this fella walks fast!

  • great video! you walked right past my house!

  • What is it like to live in Los Angeles?

  • Can somebody please tell me what are ALL of the safest spots & worst spots in LA. I'm scared to go to LA because I heard that there is a lot of shooting & killing going on in Downtown & in the Vicinity. One person told me that downtown is safe, another person said no. I really want to know, because one of goals is going to see the Lakers Play at Staples Center. I NEVER been to Los Angeles.

  • Most parts of LA, including downtown, are very safe. I spend there most of my life there and was never in any danger of losing my life. That said, it is a big city, so use your common sense.

  • So Downtown is permantIy safe now?I Never been to LA, so I wouldn't know anything about it there when you say use common sense.I was talking to someone else online & they said that the only places that are REAL BAD are South Central , as of now South L.A , Inglewood, Compton, Watts and some parts of Long Beach. He told me that If I have no buisness there then dont go. I don't want to go in the bad spots. I'm scared.

  • 1990, there's just as much chance of getting shot in Santa Monica as there is in South L.A.----don't believe everything you're told. Like tobiaswac said, use your common sense and try not to LOOK like a tourist!!

I've lived in South LA over thirty years, seen lots of changes, and it's no diff than say, parts of Toronto or Miami, but you should be careful in ANY strange city, so don't be scared, just be aware!!

  • I'm from Macon, Ga & I was talking to two people online from L.A. I want to be careful, but I'm scared at the same time because it's a big city & I wouldn't know anything about it. I'm not used to a big city. Could you give me a full list of places where it's safe & where it's not safe at in Los Angeles. I just want to be safe at all times. I don't want to be in the bad areas AT ALL. I'm scared of the shooting & killing. I NEVER been to L.A. so please help me.

  • If You use Your common sense You will not have any problems I live in Melbourne Australia not as big as LA and there are places I would not go on My own at night.

But if You ae foolish You can get in trouble in any city.

  • I don't want to be foolish. I've never been to L.A. I always wanted to go visit & see what's it like. That's why I asked people online who live there what's it like & what are the good & worst parts of L.A. I definetly want to be safe at all times wherever I go.

  • Decent parts of LA: Westchester, Santa Monica, Hacienda Heights, Glendale, Pasadena, Altadena, Downtown Glendale, Downtown LA, Hollywood (in certain areas), Hawthorne (certain parts), malibu (im not sure if its in LA or not),

Questionable parts of LA: Boyle Heights, El Sereno, Lincoln Heights, Pasadena, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Inglewood, Compton, South Central, Downtown LA, Hawthorne, Torrance

You could be driving through a rich neighborhood then end up in the hood a couple blocks down

  • our city is so diverse its kinda hard to only stay in the "good" or pretty lookin parts all the time. you just gotta sit back and enjoy where the night takes you.

  • See? Those are way too many places. I would get lost. Especially since I'm from GA & never been to L.A. So many beautifuk women are there, I want one. Is it hard getting a girl in L.A.?

  • it depends on 2 things. personality (game all that shit) and looks. if you have one, you dont need the other; if you have both, panties seem to magically jump off. but some advice: if you want a fast girl, you'll get a fast girl. if you want a real woman, you'll get a real woman. you just gotta take control.

  • And what part of L.A. do you stay in? I don't want to give up & lose faith in getting a beautiful woman. I don't like fast girls, freaky girls, I don't like girls that have body piercings, I don't like girls that are bossy / agressive. I want a positive woman.

  • Make sure you drive a nice import. Women in L.A. dont really cook much either.

  • Nice Import. What does that mean?

  • stop being a bitch and get ur ass over here to los angeles nigga!!!

  • Well D***, You must be from L.A.?

  • no shit

  • Well where ther f*** are you from Mars?

  • compton bitch!!

  • No wonder. You must be crip or blood?

  • hahaahah nope..im dominican bro..a skanker/ baseball player

  • I heard Compton Is Like Living In Hell. Literrally. Lotta Killing & Gangs.

  • nah u heard wrong dawg

  • Somehow I dont know whether to believe you or not. How old are you?

  • im 19 dawg

  • Real Talk? I still dont know whether to believe you or not.

  • Oh believe me bruah I didn't. And What is "Lates"?

  • I don't know about Compton, but I've lived in Crenshaw which has a bad rep and never had any problems.

  • Crenshaw? Bad Rep? What do you mean by "Bad Rep"?

  • I hear crenshaw get tossed in with places like Compton and Watts when people talk about dangerous parts of Los Angeles.

  • So is Crenshaw Dangerous?

  • I walk through Crenshaw all the time. Even though ive been robbed at gunpoint at a pc cafe on that street a few years ago. Not to long ago i had to chase off some guy robbing a girl.

  • @tekkenlaw

Crenshaw is a street. The correct name would be South Central, or South LA ;)

  • @1990babyface Why would you want to go to Compton anyway it's mainly just a residential area

  • @ninelivecat A residential area that will get you killed fast.

  • @1990babyface Only if you are in the wrong part late at night if you go looking for trouble you will find it easy enough in lots of cities you don't need to go to LA also most killings in these hoods are between rival gangs

  • @ninelivecat They'll kill anyone nowadays

  • @1990babyface Well if you're that terrified maybe you shouldn't visit LA I'm going back I had a good

time there isn't there gang crime in Georgia too ?

  • @ninelivecat I do want to visit L.A. Im just going to be cautious & ask someone who is from there to show me around.

  • @1990babyface If you stick to the main tourist areas you will be fine and can have a good time there

  • @ninelivecat And could you list me "the main tourist areas"?

  • @1990babyface east la is the safest. watts is also a very child friendly area.

  • @thmonkeytanner I heard Watts was dangerous. What part of L.A. do you stay in?

  • @1990babyface the projects is the creepiest place in downtown los angeles. other than that its all good.:)

  • @xpurpldoxx What part of L.A. do you stay?

  • @1990babyface what part i live? or what parts r the best..

  • @xpurpldoxx Both.

  • @xpurpldoxx Well i wont say were i live but the best place i know is Santa Monica. everything is in a walking distance and there are nice people there.

  • @1990babyface go to Main and 5th st at night a lot of eclectic people and clubs

  • @solimiansky Are you from L.A?

  • Comment removed

  • @1990babyface

don´t come to compton, south central or inglewood

but if you are no gang member, you should be safe

  • @lingo122 I'm not in a gang. I try not to wear red or blue shirts. But I get scared anyway if I were to be anywhere. Anyone can walk up & kill point blank. Tell me more....

Where else is it bad to go? What about Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Culver City, & East L.A?

  • @1990babyface

    they won´t kill you

if you don´t attack them XD

if you are just a tourist its ok

the city is not very nice, its like much traffic and dust, its not a city you know like from TV

if you are going to hollywood, beverly hills, santa monice, downtown and the stuff, you´d be safe

  • @lingo122 I feel it is cold & bad. I wont attack period. I want to move there & I was wondering what good parts to live in L.A. & know what are worst parts of L.A.

  • This was a nice perspective on Wilshire.

I see the same things---only I'm on the #20 bus!!

  • Yeah, just like the other 4 million people that live in this great city.

  • if i move to la will i get shot?

  • Dump the lousy music and this would have been great...

  • its not lousy

  • DUDE!!!

ok so i just did that walk and DANG!!!!

were ur legs hurting by the end of it?

    cause mine were killing me!!!

  • Nice video.

  • Very cool.

  • Fantastic video. One of my favorite streets in L.A. and I always make it a point to do the drive and back, at least once, whenever I visit.

I've also walked some sections but usually only a mile or so in certain areas, like La Brea Tarpits, the downtown area, near Rodeo Drive and where it starts ending in Santa Monica - I'll have to walk it all in certain arone day. I LOVE this city!!!

  • awsome video

  • where is the 15 stair Greco switch frontside fliped

  • The area around MacArthur Park is the really the only spot I wouldn't want to be around at night.

  • @kicktotheballs cause of poor homeless people ?

  • @ninelivecat No, not because of poor homeless people but because that area is 18th Street territory.
