You start at the bottom......if your area has good sized golds an you find flour gold at the base then most likley there's not much above but if you find A few good flakes or picker then they most likley rolled out of the hill above.......flood golds an flour gold will run along the river edge or 5 foot up A bank not pickers......every clue helps out in the quest for better gold.......I found A few nice flakes an the sampled the older channel above an around this area.......gold in them hills.

where are you taking your test dirt from? the bottom of that High bench?
