To anaarkadievna: I was asking this question because in France (and in many western countries) Gyspies are called Romanians. We had some problems with them in big cities such as Paris and since they are called (by mistake) Romanians I didn't make connection with "Gypsies".
The issue is not as sensitive as in your country and if madonna said that anywhere else (in the UK or in France concerning arabs for instance) she obviously wouldn't be booed. That's what surprised me.

I went to France for a project Youth in Action, my group went out in a marketplace in Caen. I went to France for a project Youth in Action, my group went out in a marketplace in Caen. When a French heard they were Romanian started to swear at them and call then gypsies.I think Madonna should do her homework before judging others.Everywhere I went in France there were immigrants selling trinkets and other stuff, the gypsies were the only ones begging for money.
