I don't think they just want the profit of the loan. I think they want the power to say who can go to college and for what! It's all about power they are wolves in sheeps clothes. Wake-up! Soon it will be too late.
yes it would pass on its own. they're using it to convince more dems to vote for health care, dummies. right now we're letting banks profit wildly with 100% guaranteed tax payer money. let the gov profit on that itself. and you're lying that students can no longer pay for college with private loans. of course they can, you can get a private loan to pay for anything. this is only referring to low income students needing gov assistance. what do you wealthy republican pukes know about that?
we live in a country were the people who lives will be saved because of the heathcare bill R marching to defeat it. If you R against the bill ask youself do I have the same quality insurance as my public official & if not why??
The federal loans have a better interest rate than the private ones, and don't accrue interest while you're in school. Hell yeah, I want the govt to take loans over! Shouldn't we be encouraging education in this country rather than funneling even more money to the banks?
What the fuck does he know about getting a loan for college!? He's fucking 800 years old! What a retard! How is a "newsman" allowed to pull such complete bullshit directly out of his asshole?
I spend 15 minutes once a year filling out a Federal Student Aid Application online. Initial application took less than an hour.
My brother-in-law stupidly signed for $10K loan for a niece on 1 of these student loans allowed under the Bush Adm
Once she dropped out & a payment was missed, the interest rate soared & there were late fees, legal fees, & other fees & suddenly he comes to me owing about $30,000
I must tell him a bankruptcy won't erase it, time won't erase it & even death won't erase a student loan & by the time he died the debt would likely exceed $100K
That's what happens when you miss payments, you get penalties. And another thing NEVER COSIGN FOR ANYONE. It's always a bad idea. And it wasn't the Bush admin, its the gigantic federal government that screwed your brother-in-law. Ever heard of the progressive movement? That's who you need to blame about the horrible situation the gov't is in now.
Before Bush the gov't had regulations on Student Loans but Bush decided to let the free market work & have lenders compete against each other
Lenders started quicklly bribing loan offices at the schools with free cars, stock & cash. I regret to say ppl at my school - UT at Austin - also took bribes
Lenders had previously obtained the right to deal across state lines so they set up offices in the 2 states w/ no usury laws. As soon as a student missed a payment the rate soared
They can also control what colleges to survive too. Any collage who does not push the governments line will get punished by students not getting loans to go to to those colleges. Heck they could even say you will not get a loan for any private collage or for profit college.
another great point!.just like what car dealers get closed, the one's who donated Republican!....lmao.conrol the money, control the schools, control the content.dayum black hitler!....peeps better wake upppppppppp!
lol...I don't think the amount of paperwork is a good reason to avoid a policy.

If you think we will have the same health care that they have after the healthcare bill passes, you are extremely niave.

You will get a loan but it will come with a social service/enslavement clause attached. You will be a brown shirt with a vig.
