There's NOTHING more idiotic on this earth, than the anti-gun RETARDS who wouldn't know logic and reason and facts and figures, if their very LIFE depended on it,. Hey lady... I don't give a FUCK how my rights make you feel, or if you would rather I practice my rights in private. Ironically, people like you SHOLD be shot, as a threat to liberyt and safety!
Mr. Ignorant @2:01 We don't open carry to intimidate people, we do it because we have small penis' and low self esteem. We do it to boost our egos! Note to the general public, it seems the majority of these idiots hang out at coffee shops. your all a bunch of pussies , scared of guns ,... Dont look for me to help you when you get robbed at a gunpoint by a convicted felon with a ski mask on ....
ok coffee contains caffeine, caffeine is a mind altering drug....... Guns and mind altering drugs shouldnt mix right? just saying, and yes i do own a few guns of my own but im not going to carry them around in the open for everyone to see just the same as i would not walk around with hundred dollar bills hanging off my waist. You are just asking for someone to jack you shit.
General questions: 1. If rapists, kidnappers, and murders can get guns illegally, then should law abiding citizens have guns? Yes/No 2. What bothers you most is: (choose one) 2.A. The sight of the gun. 2.B. The fact that people around you have concealed guns. 3. How many guns do you own? 3.1 None 3.2 One 3.3 More than one. 4. If a person owns one gun that holds 10 bullets, then how many bullets should they have? 4.1 None 4.2 One 4.3 10 4.4 20 4.5 50 4.6 100 4.7 1,000
I liked the comment thedavidwilson made: Unloaded guns make great hammers.
They might... but I hammer cant defend your loved one if used by a drained individual to get lead down range in under 1.5 seconds ... from the unloaded carry :) so there !
I love that ladies "guns are bad, guns are dangerous" attitude given the completely relaxed situation others were in. Some people will always be completely ignorant.
Guns in good peoples hands makes the bad guys scared & think 3x's as harder about leaching off the weaker people!Some people ask why O.C? When you can tell us where the next crime will be. That will be the day we dont O.C. A person that has a gun to start with. more or less knows the rights & wrong of a gun. You may not know this but there are more accidental deaths by your Doctor then there are with gun owners in the cores of 1 year.Your more likely to be killed by a doctor then a gun owner!!!
"In this day and age"? What does that mean? There is no need to protect yourself because the world is free of crime? "The right to bear arms..what does that really mean". Duh, it means you can own and carry a gun-dumbass. "They carry guns to intimidate people". Those people are called criminals. The very same folks the brady bunch has been protecting for years. I wonder if that brady dude would feel the same way if a wacko started shooting and his only defense was an armed civilian?
"It intimidates people, because it makes them less safe"? Only if your a sheep or a criminal. Leave it to the brady bunch to assume that everyone is a criminal except the real criminals. It shouldn't be seen? So, a bad guy carrying a gun concealed is ok, but an honest citizen scares them? What pathetic ignorant sheep. I would not open carry just because of this. Its not legal in my state anyway, but Im a CHL, so I don't have to worry. I guess Im not a threat cuz you cant see my gun?
The gentleman from the Brady Campaign doesn't make a solid argument at all. He's afraid these guys are going to unholster, load, and start shooting up a place? Criminals already do that and they don't open carry. The open carry movement is about law-abiding citizens exercising a right. We are not criminals! Rights don't cease to exist simply because our neighbor is scared. I'm scared of some of these "religions" out there, but I don't try and squash one's right to worship that religion.
I have no problem with someone who is well trained in pistol marksmanship/safety to open carry. What scares the hell out of me is any 21 year old with 1/4 of a brain and $300 can get a pistol in CA. What happens when that untrained citizen tries to apprehend crime with a gun and ends up wounding/killing bystanders due to a lack of training or no training at all. Believe me, shooting a pistol accurately takes a lot of regular practice. I don't think it's worth the risk
@bglass1: What scares me is that black people can just get guns when they have 1/4 of a brain and 300$. Your face when you realized you're an ageist, and want to restrict liberties based on age.
Those of us who open carry fully realize that we are not police officers. We also fully realize that our firearm is for self-defense, not the defense of the public. If you want protection, that's your responsibility. Mine is to my family and myself. Most of us are well trained. Just as you are trained to drive your car, we have trained to safely carry, and use, our firearms.
Stereotypes, no matter their guise, are still ugly.
@CmdrHaggis hahaha, not so sure I would compare it to being trained to drive a car. There are some pretty poor drivers out there. XD But you are right, I doubt there is a police officer within 100 miles who could out perform me.
@bglass1 What does open carry have to do with a 21 y/o illegally obtaining a gun? These people are drinking coffee, not chasing bad guys. Believe you? Do you consider yourself "trained"? If so, what if some dumbass decided you were dangerous just because you had a gun? If you don't think its worth the risk, then don't do it. Sop telling other people that they don't have the right to defend themselves and their families because it scares you. Too bad, grow a pair.

the brady campaign always use the wrong terminology, once again they say clip instead of magazine. How can you be against something if you dont even know what it is called. also, it is easy to tell if they are responsible, are they waving their guns around pointing them at people or making threats of any kind, NO!, they are buying coffee.
You won't find a bigger 2nd Amendment/CCW permit supporter but WHY would anyone Open carry?? You're just begging to be a victim of a crime. You have a $500 item right there for the criminals to see.
@falcondriver100 So, you support the 2A (and government approved permission slips) yet you also believe being armed makes you more likely to become a victim? In other words, being disarmed and defenseless would increase personal safety then right? Wrong. Criminals seek out easy targets. Being openly armed would more than likely discourage those out looking for easy prey. At best, a concealed firearm would have to be presented to discourage or defend against an attack, escalating the situation.
@BayAreaOpenCarry No I said OPEN CARRY makes you likely to become a victim. Sneak attacks, sucker punches, multiple attackers ect have ended with many open carriers being disarmed & guns stolen. I prefer to let them THINK I'm an easy target, then show them otherwise.
I'm former LE & know not ONE Officer who would open carry when off duty. Each to their own.
@falcondriver100 Show me some then. You made the claim, so back it up. Only 6 States ban open carry. That means people in 44 States, including CA, can open carry in one form or another. So it should be easy for you to provide some proof the the "many" OC'ers getting their guns stolen.
@jonestim491 "Show me some then"?? You can't freakin google for yourself? Why do I have to "show them to you"? LMAO! Hey, keep your head in the sand & act like it doesn't happen if you like.
Open carry if you want, I don't care. Just don't be shocked when you're disarmed & robbed.
@jonestim491 Do you live to argue? If you googled it YOU'D SEE THE PROOF! Geezus!
I'm glad nobody's ever tried to take your gun! I've never been attacked by a coyote. Don't mean is isn't going to happen..... Everyone has an opinion. I gave mine, do I have that right in your mind? You gave yours, you have that right! Drop it already!
For what its worth, I have extensive training & experience in LE & as a firearms instructor. Nobody I know thinks its a wise idea.
I fully support open carry. But please understand, it freaks people out!!!
I live near this area, way too many liberals.....Peets Coffee actually stopped a group of "open carriers" from having meeting at their coffeeshops a yr or two ago. Since then, I no longer drink coffee from Peets.
@rainbowcoins1 why do you want to open carry in Florida when you can just apply for a CCW.. they are not that strict to issue one compared to California...
Why are so many open - carriers angry ? I open carry and I believe it is completely understandable that people are frightened when they see an average man strutting about the town with a handgun . We live in a place where people are not adapt to observing ordinary men and women with firearms in the public ' s view . Children do not learn by having their lessons yelled at them , should the public . The police are protectors . There may be some bad seeds , but there are many fine officers .
@MrFloppywaffles Very good point, I don't believe getting mad at the public and acting crazy is a good way to show that people who open carry are normally sane, friendly and responsible. I will probably try to tone down my wardrobe before I start open carrying.
@PovertyRecords Do you have a separate CCW for California? I also have a CCW in Florida and since I have a son living in California would like to know how is done.
@1984LHR Contact the Sheriff in the County you wish to apply. However, there is a reason the CA CCW is so unobtainable. Sadly, it all depends on who you know. My family is Law Enforcement, my friends are Law Enforcement. If you don't have 6 degrees of separation with the Sheriff the chances of being approved are slim.
i wish they would just let you guys get permits and conceal it or open carry. personally id rather have the permit and have the ability to have it loaded but its komifornia. stay strong.
So he's "OK" if I am "trained" and a "reasonable" person? I highly doubt he would be "OK" with that. Most states, including his, already have similar guidelines for carrying a firearm, it's called concealed carry. I wonder if he has ever thought who is around him at a store with a gun and he doesn't know it, LOL.
One of the founding arguments against OC by the anti gun people is that they don't know whether the OC'er has bad intentions and/or is trained to safely handle a gun. That shouldn't trump my right to bear arms. I wonder how many in the video would be consistand and say that none of the rights in the Bill of Rights should be usable without a permit because otherwise we couldn't know if we could trust the person exercising his rights to do so responsibly.
this Debby MItchell @ 2.34 obviously never heard about the "wild west" where everybody,well almost everybody used to wear a gun / rifle and she,in my opinion,gives out the wrong message to the public and her children,she rather should educate and teach her kids about guns and let them make their own decision
right ,why dont you tell that the left behind parents,wifes,husbands,bothers and sisters in the Tucson grocery store ? iam sure they totaly have understanding for that
@Hoschi0913 lesson behind all that is that guns should be last ppl should only reach for guns as last resort. before using guns comes something like "rational sense".
you dont seem to know that open carry is permitted and absolutely legal in Arizona,i know, cuz i live here and do exercise my right ,means i carry my gun everywhere iam allowed to,but most importantly ,if there would had been some people carrying their guns with them at this time,they could have taken out and killed that fucker and perhaps 13 people more would be alive,instead that fucker is alive and 13 people are dead,let that sink in for a moment ...........
........and no we as lawabiding citizen do not have or carry our guns to shoot senceless around,we carry them for those cases or moments, like in Tucson, to protect the people around us and ourself,is it possible that we get injured or even killed in the process ?yes it is possible ,but thats a risk we are willing to take ,to save others
no one can tell you,there is no garantee that even those lawful citizen hide and run,but would you rather wait for a cop to shows up afterwards with a buddybag to put you in or hope that one of those lawful citizen around you has its gun with them and use it against this attacker ? the difference is this .....the lawful armed citizen does NOT have to risk his/her life for others,yet most do.....cop's on the other hand do NOT have any obligation to protect you (see Supreme Court)
......perhaps you need to visit a shooting range once a while and watch those lawful citizen practice with their weapons,not because its "cool" to shoot ,but because they wanna make sure they will hit the target that they are aiming at ,and NOT hit someone else...the "bystander",its called responsibillity for your action,but hey if you rather wait for the cop with the buddybag,fine with me too
they are no hero's and dont wanna be one,all they are is responsible ,but good to know i could you make laugh,hopefully you remember this laughter next time you are on the recieving end of a armed robbery or ( god forbid ) shooting and wait for your cop ,have a great day
@Hoschi0913 maybe next time you are in a shootout or at the receiving end of a robbery or shootingyou will be the guy thinking "why did i bring my gun out here, now i'm being aimed at first by this guy".
dont bother about the "maybe this ,maybe that" issue,because you dont even live in the same country ,nor ( i assume) do you own a gun nor do you have the same laws to follow as i do nor can you buy / carry a gun in the open as i can ,so therefore all you saying is your opinion only ,kinda hear say thing with no actual experience in either of the mentioned points,having said that,i appreciate your opinion,wish you well and hope for you that you never ever have to defend yourself
@Hoschi0913 well lets face the fact: 90% of the legal gun owners in the US also never had real experience with gun violence, and owning and open carrying it is more a matter of prestige then it is for actual self defense.
might be a "prestige" issue in ur place,because it is NOT a right that you have to carry a gun ,as it is here for us,perhaps you should look into criminals with guns,like before mentions rubbery's ( Gas Stations ,small Grocery Stores are very popular among criminals) which makes your 90% figure go down to perhaps 40% very fast or Burglary's (53% of all crimes) in which a Gun comes in handy for defence,but i dont expect you to understand that,its just not ur enviroment u live in
the big difference between your place and mine is this....if or when something happen to you,all you can do is call the cops and deal with the aftermath of it,for me ,i am allowed with (almost) any means neccessary to defend my property ,my family and my life (myself),then i call the cops to pik up that piece of shit that wants to harm my family / me or steal from me,at the end of the day,i keep my things that i worked hard for and my family is safe,can you say the same in your place ?
we dont need lesser guns,we need more guns,so those crucks think twice if someone is packing or if there is a 12gage shotgun behind the door they try to kick in,like switzerland,almost everyone has a gun/rifle,yet the crime rate is the lowest in the entire world,because criminals know what awaits them if they try something stupid,i suggest you read your bill of rights (if u have them),after that read ours and look for a section that gives and protects your right to defend yourself
@Hoschi0913 Lol........... the main reason for switzerland's (and overall europe's) low crime rate is the fact that they have got a decent underbuilt social system. ohhhhhhhhh that's right the biggest crime prevention method actually consists of taking care of your people lol. people who are being taken care of find less reasons to commit crimes. no rocket science believe me. mythbusters here i come :)
according to your answer to my question,i assume your bill of rights does not contain a section that garantees your right to selfdefence or you just dont have anything like it,which leads to the question ...what happen to those people in your place that do not want to be taken care of and want to decide for themself how they want to live their lifes?including defending themselfs and their property,are those people "outsiders" and need to be locked away?......
....because they dont fit into your society or are those people seen as "nutjobs" and pushed aside for the "greater good" or is it by chance that most people in your place are just "brainwashed" ,in the meaning that personal responsibllity ,individualism, your own thoughts and mind are just not taught and therefore lost,you need to help me out here,cuz it seems insane to me
lets try this,for example......you get note that you have to stay in the African Outback for a month ,its you alone and lets say 2 things you can take with you,what would it be ? be honest please ok
has nothing to do with going back to the stone age,i just wanted to know if you take a weapon with you for your own defence or if you call someone that takes care of you,obviously you didnt spend a thought of defending yourself,that tells alot about your society you live in and they state of your mind set,means you dont think it is important and no use to you
@Hoschi0913 nope, that question of yours was just so much ridiculously centered towards your favorited outcome, i just gave it a fitting answer :-) btw a machete would be way more multifunctional to bring along for that instead of a gun. If you are out in the african outback on your own for a long time, you must realise that guns run out of ammo as well, become useless after time :) Second item i would bring is a lot of rope. there you go, you can start building shelter and traps.
@Hoschi0913 ok plain and simple, look at it this way then: supporting a system that brings more benefits for all (including yourself when you need it) is also a way of taking care of yourself.also, not provoking ppl with shuving open carried guns under their noses is also taking care of yourself too.
that might be true to a point,still you have the disadvantage of some people using this safetynet (which is good) as a humeck (which i cant agree on) ,anyhow how about those people that get uncomfortable with open carry person around,they can feel free to leave anytime,just like smokers get "banned" from certain places
@Hoschi0913 from every system you have you will still have people that will try to exploit it. that is irreversable everywhere. right now in the US you got the corporations that are "openly supporting" the free market, but who do everything to shut down competition possibilities and cut jobs to increase profits. and tough luck for those that fall out of the system lol. at least over here, the government tries to keep the free market balanced.
@Hoschi0913 also, the open carriers should be compared with the smokers. amongst smokers, its common politeness that you ask if you can smoke in someone's house or business. that same attitude should be amongst open carriers.
@Hoschi0913 nutjobs? maybe. Pushed aside? no.nobody is forced to do it. Like i said: we got plenty of room for individual choices. personal responsibility? of course. but also mutual responsibility, knowing that when you need it, you can make use of it too. now how hard is that to understand? Nothing brainwashed here, just common sense.
@Hoschi0913 a: we do have the right to buy and posess guns.
b: we got plenty of freedom to decide whatever we want to do with our lives.
c: ppl that are not willing to take part or benefit from a good social system, we dont call "outsiders". "idiots" is a better word. they can do it and are free to do so. but they miss out on a hell of a lot lol.
why are they "idiots" ? you do realize anything and everything in this social system has to be payed for right,which means it is not free,somebody and in your case the entire society does pay for it,so if less people would use it or take advantage of it,you would had more money for other important thing or perhaps in your pocket due to less taxes perhaps,either way whats wrong with NOT taken advantage of it and try to make it on your own instead ?
@Hoschi0913 its called "mutual responsibility". and the cost that we seperatly make is quite minor. You kinda forget tht when everybody pays his due, the costs in taxes per individual is lower...
and sure there is nothing wrong with not parttaking in it, if you are willing to pay triple... :)
the liberal at 3:19 he is afraid of a law abiding citizens open carrying? this is typical Liberal thinking this Irrational fear of guns if some one were to enter a shopping store and start shooting he would rather wait for the police to arrive on the seen after the killer has executed everyone in the building than have an armed citizen or citizens defend them selfs and everyone else in the establishment.
@mba2ceo In most states you can become trained and certified to carry a concealed loaded gun for your protection. In California, lawmakers have passed state laws that overrule the 2nd amendment of the constitution and say that citizens cannot apply for certification to carry concealed, but any untrained person is allowed to carry openly if it is unloaded. Apparently the lawmakers in California just really wanted to promote flashing guns in public places.
@mba2ceo Because it's not generally legal to open carry a loaded gun. Concealed weapons permits are almost impossible to get in certain areas and the only way for many people to carry a gun is to open carry it. There is actually a very racist-filled history behind the laws banning loaded open carry; starting with the Black Panthers LOC'ing during protests and ending with Ronald Reagan signing the Mumford bill that banned loaded open carry.
I am the biggest tree hugging liberal on earth, but I totally agree with the fact that every human being has a right to defend ones self against harm. People aren't as apt to attack, rob or harm someone that is packing a gun and can defend themselves.
the to anti gun people would rather take the chance that criminals kill them and their family members that have an armed law abiding citizen protect them. pure ignorance.
well ya old hag if your against it go live in another country. and little kid its a counrty given right obviously your not doing your school work ...............Americans are so damn ignorant these days
I am all for open carry, do it all the time, but why carry a gun if it not loaded? As far as I know you cant carry ammo in CA like say in your pocket and have the gun unloaded, whats the point, if you carry ammo I think you are breaking the law, please correct me if I am wrong
@41magnumdeserteagle - I am a police officer here in California. You may carry a sidearm but it must be unloaded. It can have a mag in it, but it too must be empty. However, you MAY carry a loaded mag. It must be visable, just not in gun.
@sbisk I live in AZ lots of guns here and lots of open carry, but can I open carry my weapon in CA, yes I know, ten rounds mags, do you have to be a resident of CA to open, by the way, an AZ resident over 21 and with no felony's can carry concealed with out a CCW, I do all the time,
@41magnumdeserteagle - No.....If you were visiting here you too could open carry. Obviously you would have to conform to Ca laws regarding the unloaded part, but yes, you could OC (open carry). To be honest im against both OC and ccw for civilians. I have my own personal issues with it both from an officer's standpoint and a civilian. HOWEVER, that in no way effects me protecting the 2A rights of people while i am on duty.
once i get a USP i will open carry in my Town. if i need to defend myself i will use it. you have a right (some states) to open carry so why not do it ?
I don't know how anyone can be against the right to carry a gun. People who are scared of guns are ignorant and just are not thinking. Even if carrying a gun were totally illegal the bad guys would still do it so whats the problem. ughhh the sheeple are annoying
People forget that we hire Cops to protect us but some how they can't get in trouble when they won't or can't protect us. And with less protection we receive, do to us not choosing to raise taxes or politicians not spending our taxes the right way. We can take control of our protection so we are now and like alway responsible for our own safety.
@MrRRW555 gun lovers need to get used to the fact that there are valid reasons for ppl to distrust them, that have absolutely no reason at all to feel safer around an open carrier. and get over it when ppl call it rightfully insane to carry weapons in places like a freaking library.
I Agree. There is too much hate, brutality and discrimination against people of all walks of Life("Gay", "Black", "White", "Women", etc).
Unless, everyone in this world(ie cops, government & criminals) is stripped of their guns, then we should have "the right" or privileges of 'baring arms'/weapons in self-defense too!
i open carry in Utah everyday. we can carry loaded and concealed in our cars and on private property with no permit. next step, constitutional carry, carry concealed with no permit. Arizona just passed it, and hopefully Utah is next in line.
Hi I'm Griffin Dix and I hate the constitution of the United States. If someone starts shooting in a crowded grocery store at least when I shit myself I got my depends on.
SouthOCmixdown- "I look forward 2hearing ur banjo-playing,@my local farmer's market."
ok, this guy is probably a 12yo punk, but ill admit, i laughed my ass off at that. but not all gun owners are gun nuts, SouthOC. i hope you know that. i do suport ppl having the right to own whatever gun they see fit to defend their property\family. but my personal jury is still out, on OCing. yes, i see it as a right. but idk i vouch for my fellow citizens anymore, with all the drugs\ thug acting, i see now
Fact being it's not the job of police to protect you or your family then the job falls to the individual. I realize that is foreign to your collective sheep mindset, but it's factual

I don't think it's worth the risk
bglass1 6 months ago
@bglass1: What scares me is that black people can just get guns when they have 1/4 of a brain and 300$. Your face when you realized you're an ageist, and want to restrict liberties based on age.
ubamilitary 5 months ago
@bglass1
CmdrHaggis 5 months ago 3

You have a $500 item right there for the criminals to see.
falcondriver100 7 months ago
@falcondriver100 So, you support the 2A (and government approved permission slips) yet you also believe being armed makes you more likely to become a victim? In other words, being disarmed and defenseless would increase personal safety then right? Wrong. Criminals seek out easy targets. Being openly armed would more than likely discourage those out looking for easy prey. At best, a concealed firearm would have to be presented to discourage or defend against an attack, escalating the situation.
BayAreaOpenCarry 6 months ago
@BayAreaOpenCarry No I said OPEN CARRY makes you likely to become a victim. Sneak attacks, sucker punches, multiple attackers ect have ended with many open carriers being disarmed & guns stolen. I prefer to let them THINK I'm an easy target, then show them otherwise.
I'm former LE & know not ONE Officer who would open carry when off duty. Each to their own.
falcondriver100 6 months ago
@falcondriver100 Could you provide some evidence of the "many open carriers beign disarmed and guns stolen"?
jonestim491 6 months ago
@jonestim491 Just google "Open carrier robbed of his gun". Many stories come up.
falcondriver100 6 months ago
@falcondriver100 Show me some then. You made the claim, so back it up. Only 6 States ban open carry. That means people in 44 States, including CA, can open carry in one form or another. So it should be easy for you to provide some proof the the "many" OC'ers getting their guns stolen.
jonestim491 6 months ago
@jonestim491 "Show me some then"?? You can't freakin google for yourself? Why do I have to "show them to you"? LMAO! Hey, keep your head in the sand & act like it doesn't happen if you like.
Open carry if you want, I don't care. Just don't be shocked when you're disarmed & robbed.
falcondriver100 6 months ago
@falcondriver100 I can google it myself, but you made the claim without providing one shred of proof to back it up.
BTW, I do open carry and have done so for years. I've never had anyone try to take my gun.
jonestim491 6 months ago
@jonestim491 Do you live to argue? If you googled it YOU'D SEE THE PROOF! Geezus!
I'm glad nobody's ever tried to take your gun! I've never been attacked by a coyote. Don't mean is isn't going to happen..... Everyone has an opinion. I gave mine, do I have that right in your mind? You gave yours, you have that right! Drop it already!
For what its worth, I have extensive training & experience in LE & as a firearms instructor. Nobody I know thinks its a wise idea.

Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 should i also tell them that if indeed open carry was permitted there, it would have become an even bigger shooting gallery?
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 lesson behind all that is that guns should be last ppl should only reach for guns as last resort. before using guns comes something like "rational sense".
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
you dont seem to know that open carry is permitted and absolutely legal in Arizona,i know, cuz i live here and do exercise my right ,means i carry my gun everywhere iam allowed to,but most importantly ,if there would had been some people carrying their guns with them at this time,they could have taken out and killed that fucker and perhaps 13 people more would be alive,instead that fucker is alive and 13 people are dead,let that sink in for a moment ...........
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
........and no we as lawabiding citizen do not have or carry our guns to shoot senceless around,we carry them for those cases or moments, like in Tucson, to protect the people around us and ourself,is it possible that we get injured or even killed in the process ?yes it is possible ,but thats a risk we are willing to take ,to save others

lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
no one can tell you,there is no garantee that even those lawful citizen hide and run,but would you rather wait for a cop to shows up afterwards with a buddybag to put you in or hope that one of those lawful citizen around you has its gun with them and use it against this attacker ? the difference is this .....the lawful armed citizen does NOT have to risk his/her life for others,yet most do.....cop's on the other hand do NOT have any obligation to protect you (see Supreme Court)
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
......perhaps you need to visit a shooting range once a while and watch those lawful citizen practice with their weapons,not because its "cool" to shoot ,but because they wanna make sure they will hit the target that they are aiming at ,and NOT hit someone else...the "bystander",its called responsibillity for your action,but hey if you rather wait for the cop with the buddybag,fine with me too
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 this just made me lol completely.you try to depict the lawful armed citizen as your common hero. reality says they are not.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
they are no hero's and dont wanna be one,all they are is responsible ,but good to know i could you make laugh,hopefully you remember this laughter next time you are on the recieving end of a armed robbery or ( god forbid ) shooting and wait for your cop ,have a great day
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
but then again ,all there is in Belgium is some bad ass chocolate,so no worries for you pal
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 maybe next time you are in a shootout or at the receiving end of a robbery or shootingyou will be the guy thinking "why did i bring my gun out here, now i'm being aimed at first by this guy".
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
dont bother about the "maybe this ,maybe that" issue,because you dont even live in the same country ,nor ( i assume) do you own a gun nor do you have the same laws to follow as i do nor can you buy / carry a gun in the open as i can ,so therefore all you saying is your opinion only ,kinda hear say thing with no actual experience in either of the mentioned points,having said that,i appreciate your opinion,wish you well and hope for you that you never ever have to defend yourself
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
....but to answer your "what if" question,if someone aims at me ,it is considerd a threat and i have the right to defend myself
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 well lets face the fact: 90% of the legal gun owners in the US also never had real experience with gun violence, and owning and open carrying it is more a matter of prestige then it is for actual self defense.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
might be a "prestige" issue in ur place,because it is NOT a right that you have to carry a gun ,as it is here for us,perhaps you should look into criminals with guns,like before mentions rubbery's ( Gas Stations ,small Grocery Stores are very popular among criminals) which makes your 90% figure go down to perhaps 40% very fast or Burglary's (53% of all crimes) in which a Gun comes in handy for defence,but i dont expect you to understand that,its just not ur enviroment u live in
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
the big difference between your place and mine is this....if or when something happen to you,all you can do is call the cops and deal with the aftermath of it,for me ,i am allowed with (almost) any means neccessary to defend my property ,my family and my life (myself),then i call the cops to pik up that piece of shit that wants to harm my family / me or steal from me,at the end of the day,i keep my things that i worked hard for and my family is safe,can you say the same in your place ?
Hoschi0913 9 months ago 2
@Hoschi0913 then make sure lesser guns are in circulation. buy lesser so lesser can get stolen.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
we dont need lesser guns,we need more guns,so those crucks think twice if someone is packing or if there is a 12gage shotgun behind the door they try to kick in,like switzerland,almost everyone has a gun/rifle,yet the crime rate is the lowest in the entire world,because criminals know what awaits them if they try something stupid,i suggest you read your bill of rights (if u have them),after that read ours and look for a section that gives and protects your right to defend yourself
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 Lol........... the main reason for switzerland's (and overall europe's) low crime rate is the fact that they have got a decent underbuilt social system. ohhhhhhhhh that's right the biggest crime prevention method actually consists of taking care of your people lol. people who are being taken care of find less reasons to commit crimes. no rocket science believe me. mythbusters here i come :)
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
according to your answer to my question,i assume your bill of rights does not contain a section that garantees your right to selfdefence or you just dont have anything like it,which leads to the question ...what happen to those people in your place that do not want to be taken care of and want to decide for themself how they want to live their lifes?including defending themselfs and their property,are those people "outsiders" and need to be locked away?......
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
....because they dont fit into your society or are those people seen as "nutjobs" and pushed aside for the "greater good" or is it by chance that most people in your place are just "brainwashed" ,in the meaning that personal responsibllity ,individualism, your own thoughts and mind are just not taught and therefore lost,you need to help me out here,cuz it seems insane to me
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
lets try this,for example......you get note that you have to stay in the African Outback for a month ,its you alone and lets say 2 things you can take with you,what would it be ? be honest please ok
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 so you do want to go back to the stone age? good luck, you are already halfway there :)
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
has nothing to do with going back to the stone age,i just wanted to know if you take a weapon with you for your own defence or if you call someone that takes care of you,obviously you didnt spend a thought of defending yourself,that tells alot about your society you live in and they state of your mind set,means you dont think it is important and no use to you
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 nope, that question of yours was just so much ridiculously centered towards your favorited outcome, i just gave it a fitting answer :-) btw a machete would be way more multifunctional to bring along for that instead of a gun. If you are out in the african outback on your own for a long time, you must realise that guns run out of ammo as well, become useless after time :) Second item i would bring is a lot of rope. there you go, you can start building shelter and traps.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
like i said b4 ,just wanted to know if you defend yourself or wait for someone to take care if you
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 ok plain and simple, look at it this way then: supporting a system that brings more benefits for all (including yourself when you need it) is also a way of taking care of yourself.also, not provoking ppl with shuving open carried guns under their noses is also taking care of yourself too.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
that might be true to a point,still you have the disadvantage of some people using this safetynet (which is good) as a humeck (which i cant agree on) ,anyhow how about those people that get uncomfortable with open carry person around,they can feel free to leave anytime,just like smokers get "banned" from certain places
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 from every system you have you will still have people that will try to exploit it. that is irreversable everywhere. right now in the US you got the corporations that are "openly supporting" the free market, but who do everything to shut down competition possibilities and cut jobs to increase profits. and tough luck for those that fall out of the system lol. at least over here, the government tries to keep the free market balanced.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 also, the open carriers should be compared with the smokers. amongst smokers, its common politeness that you ask if you can smoke in someone's house or business. that same attitude should be amongst open carriers.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 nutjobs? maybe. Pushed aside? no.nobody is forced to do it. Like i said: we got plenty of room for individual choices. personal responsibility? of course. but also mutual responsibility, knowing that when you need it, you can make use of it too. now how hard is that to understand? Nothing brainwashed here, just common sense.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 a: we do have the right to buy and posess guns.
b: we got plenty of freedom to decide whatever we want to do with our lives.
c: ppl that are not willing to take part or benefit from a good social system, we dont call "outsiders". "idiots" is a better word. they can do it and are free to do so. but they miss out on a hell of a lot lol.
lleuwelynn 9 months ago
@lleuwelynn
why are they "idiots" ? you do realize anything and everything in this social system has to be payed for right,which means it is not free,somebody and in your case the entire society does pay for it,so if less people would use it or take advantage of it,you would had more money for other important thing or perhaps in your pocket due to less taxes perhaps,either way whats wrong with NOT taken advantage of it and try to make it on your own instead ?
Hoschi0913 9 months ago
@Hoschi0913 its called "mutual responsibility". and the cost that we seperatly make is quite minor. You kinda forget tht when everybody pays his due, the costs in taxes per individual is lower...
and sure there is nothing wrong with not parttaking in it, if you are willing to pay triple... :)

mba2ceo 10 months ago
@mba2ceo In most states you can become trained and certified to carry a concealed loaded gun for your protection. In California, lawmakers have passed state laws that overrule the 2nd amendment of the constitution and say that citizens cannot apply for certification to carry concealed, but any untrained person is allowed to carry openly if it is unloaded. Apparently the lawmakers in California just really wanted to promote flashing guns in public places.
mahastu 10 months ago
@mahastu That is pure stupidity ... wonder how many will be stolen ?
mba2ceo 9 months ago
@mba2ceo Because it's not generally legal to open carry a loaded gun. Concealed weapons permits are almost impossible to get in certain areas and the only way for many people to carry a gun is to open carry it. There is actually a very racist-filled history behind the laws banning loaded open carry; starting with the Black Panthers LOC'ing during protests and ending with Ronald Reagan signing the Mumford bill that banned loaded open carry.

Cops and citizens need to get used to open carry and get over it.

I love that everything has to be a "movement" so that one group can be painted with a deviant tint against the other group.

@SouthOCmixdown Your apparent disdain for farmers and misguided opinion of their intelligence speaks volumes to your character. While I am not a farmer I respect them and their work.....they are deffinatley better people
