  • awwww this brings back memories :)

    the ninties <3

  • The spice girls killed that he/she.

  • this song never dies :P

  • This Scared the living shit out of me when i first saw it.

like its some seed of chucky shit! D=

  • When this first came out I was only a young kid and this song came on the telly and I sat there completely amazed by it and cried because it was so beautiful (and I was obsessed with spice girls) :) Still love it to this day and I'm 19 now.

  • ne of the best songs i will never forget rly touch my heart everytime i listen to it and remind me of the beautiful old days thump up if u agree:))

  • them fairies faces have traumatised me.....

  • magnifique chanson que je pourrez ecouter en boucle toute la journée

  • This was always my favorite.

  • @BubbleGumBaby1996 i hope so ! ....... =o xD

  • viva la Spice Girls! <3

  • i all ways found this song haunting, but in a good way if that makes sence

  • i don't understand why the spice girls, whose music was aimed at people as young as 4 (or younger) would make a really sad film clip, but its about Geri leaving, at the end of the clip you can see the Geri faerie fly away alone. Basically the kid lost his friend aswell as the Spice girls lost Geri. (Wikipedia)

    <3

  • @felizcrazyy she didn't fly away she didn't appear with the others. 4/5 of the came out.

  • I still don't know what the fuck this video is supposed to mean, but the Spice Girl faeries are dementedly adorable.

  • this vid almost made me cry when i was like 3 or 4. how dare they kidnap that girl/boy leaving that boy all sad

  • @urbcire :( how sad, i remember it made my sister really sad when she was really young..

  • That's pretty damn sad. They kidnap children :(

  • hate the video but i still fuckin love this song

  • awwww

  • Favorite song. Least favorite video.

All these years, and I still don't get it. I understand it...I guess. I just don't get it.

    Love the song though!

  • @AlohaDucky

It's symbolic. =) He lost a part of his childhood (in this case his best friend) and had to come to terms with it (hence the reason he was struggling with the rubix cube).

When the rubix cube was solved, he finally accepted the fact that his friend was gone forever....so he puts it in a plastic egg and throws it into the toy dispenser to join his other childhood memories.

The toy dispenser represents his mind and the plastic eggs are full of his memories.

    Hope this helps! =)

  • @MissIndigo4321 Thanks for that, I love this song but never understood the video.

It makes it even more poignant, because I lost a friend in 1997. He passed away when he was 9 and they played this song at his funeral. So whenever I hear this song I think of him. He is forever young...

  • @MissIndigo4321 Wow that did help a lot, I knew it had a deeper meaning than I thought but wow :) thanks.

  • It makes me sleep but in a positive way :)

  • Man i loved this SPICE GIRLS FOREVER!

  • I remember this was my most FAVORITE song when I was like 6 or so(:

    still love it !

  • if they want it to be clear that its a boy, then maybe shorter hair and.... idk, but if in any chance -i dont think it is but- its a girl than... longer hair... girly glasses and maybe bangs or a skirt?

  • wow, when i was 9 i was just wowed bij the special effects, they seemed so magical. now i´m 23, and it just... CRAPPY :P

  • @Trahlalie If I would have seen this when I was 9 I would have pissed myself and never went near one of those toy machines again

  • Lol...I Luv It..

  • -confused-

  • I really like this song. But the music video really confuses me. If the girl who apparently is a boy, is a boy an dthe boy is still a boy has it got something to do with sexuality? Could someone explain it if theu understand? Thanks, lol :)

  • @NarutoUzuuchi This video demonstrates the meaning of the song. It refers to the loss of someting. When we lose something/someone that is very important to us, most of the time we just try to figure it out why it turns out that way.

  • @NarutoUzuuchi [continued] The boy has lost his friend. He doesn't understand the reason why and wants to get his friend back (he tried to fix the puzzle). But he cannot change the past, he can do nothing but to let go and leave the rest to destiny (he threw the egg back to the machine). All he can do is hoping that one day they will meet again. But he'll never know when (there're too many eggs in there).

  • @NarutoUzuuchi To conclude, this song tells us that normally when we lose something/someone, we would try to find the reason why it turns out that way and try to fix it, even when there's nothing we can do about it.

So just live for the moment, don't tie ourselves with the past that we cannot change. Appreciate what we have at the moment because nothing lasts forever. all we can have with us forever is "memory'.

  • @Tum2185

Amnesia, Dementia, Altimers and the list gose on and on... You only have the memory until your lose it

  • Can somebody please explain to me what this video is about??? Is it about saying goodbye to somebody or something? What's the rubix cube all about???

Still, trippy video but a brilliant song!

  • I would shit.

  • Check out the version with Pavarotti.. so much better

  • I LOVE SPICE GIRLS right now i just became obsessed once again watching all kind of videos, photos of them ='( i just grew up listening their music and pretending been one of them! makes me cry remembering all those good times! =) so bad i never got to see them in a concert

  • it's a BOY! not a girl, a BOY!!

  • The song is amazing ut what does it clip means???

  • This video scared me! Its imaginative though. Seeing the spice girls as pixie form is pretty cool!

  • ahhh these were the days weren't they :) modern pop has nothing on this!

  • once upon a time...

  • When I was little I was listening this song and when my walkman broken down it started to play the song backwards and this song became incredibly good... I started to listen this song backwards later on....

  • nice song

  • Kinder Surprise!

  • Che palle la pubblicità però, non sanno + dove metterla, ora anke su youtube.... mmmmmmmmmmmm

  • i believe this vid. is showing how even though losing some1 is hard u'll always have those memories u shared with that person( in the vid. he loses his friend but they spent time 2gether b4 he went away) that's what i think it's about

  • i cannot get over the fact that i will not get to see nicolo sing this on x-factor

  • I just love it!!! Remindes me winter in the 90s! THX FOR UPLOADING!!!

  • This video clip is super cute! Every time I see you I get emotional...

  • @MissNosheeba I AGREE I THINK SO MANY OF US (PEOPLE POSTING THIS VIDEO) WE HAD REALLY GOOD TIMES LISTENING THE SPICE GIRLS I GOTTA SAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I EVER HAD IN MY CHILDHOOD! =D

  • @TheNankiss88 Yh i agree,Bet loads of people had good memories with spice girls songs :'')

  • i dont get it what it was telling us

  • @kingnothing907 its saying that a friend has to go away and the song is excepting that the friend is gone but ur not forgeting the good times you shared -its about geri leaving the spice girls

  • @kingnothing907

It could represent becoming an adult and having to deal with the loss of your childhood friends growing up and leaving you.

  • 2 b honest the video for this use to creep me out a bit. to start with its the weird pixie spice girls nd their weird faces that were like myeeeeh. nd also the whole taking this kids sister or whoever. shrinking her nd trapping her inside a cube nd then him throwing her into a random slot machine nd walking off like.... oh well lol. The song is beautiful however

  • I would always sing this song as a kid when I felt lonely and cry by myself... Such a beautiful song...

  • this song I have so many memories and they are all happy... I hope my life will always stay that way too xoxo

  • I'm happy to see so many nice comments here! I just recently discovered this song on the Greatest Hits DVD. I like to think the Spice Girls will 'live forever' so long as we remember them for making the end of the 90's so robust

  • I love dancing to this song hahah. (:

  • its 2 guys not a girl n guy but its pretty much about losing someone close..especially at the end tha guy loses his friend...and 4 fairies(tha main 4) continuing the same path....1 fairy(geri) continuing the different path...

  • @jalese22 they're not 2 guys, it's a girl and a guy, the girl do not like to use makeup or fashion famenine clothes, but it's still a girl, that's all

  • lmao 214 people witnessed their friend being taken away by fairies :3

thanks for the vid brings me back to my childhood....

  • @vickershaft LOL well said indeed!!! :)

  • @vickershaft How do you mistake moral for moron..?

  • @Kaminoke

it's not a boy and a girl - they are two BOYS.

  • @Kaminoke

Great job explaining the song Viva Forever.

It explains all their "legal high" in the UK.

  • @Kaminoke Damn it! I had a feeling magic mushrooms were growing in that field! :P lol

  • @Kaminoke

    ... :| that was a GIRL!!?

  • I will always love the spice girls i remember getting there first album at 6 and now im 20 i wish they was still together ! this is my fave song by them ever. i remember buying spice girl lollypops i loved them lol

  • i miss my childhood and high school.... this song still melts my heart

  • This is the song of my childhood :))

    Thanks for great memories!

  • Haha I remember when I bought this on TAPE and used to listen to it in my mom's care when I was about 10 or 11.

  • I was 20 when this video came out, and although I was never a big Spice Girls fan, I adored this song.

I'm now a 32 year old man and I adore it still.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. I ALWAYS HAVE SINCE I WAS 15

  • Notice how only four fairies fly away at the end. :'(

  • @sephir298 i didn't until now. i don't think Geri(Ginger Spice) was even heard in the song. plus, notice how they only use fairies and not the actual Spice Girls. even for a short second.

  • seriously im high...what is viva bro

  • No siempre la vida es asi, para siempre

  • NEVER MUSIC WILL BE THE SAME GOOD MUSIC SEASON IS OVER!!! WE MISS YOU GUYS.

  • i wonder if today's music will be loved and remembered like the early and late 90's songs. spice girls, back street boys etc. I doubt it, and it makes me sad :(

  • This song always mad me cry, and it still does. good memories

  • Best Spice girls Ballad.... One of the best spice girls songs... one of the best songs of the 90's- seriously beautiful and shows the true talent that these five "wannabes" really had :)

  • @jonb202020 i coudln't agree more :)

  • @jonb202020 yes i agree with all u said, anyway, S.G. did not write their songs.

the band had a background team of very skilled writers and musician to do that :D

  • amo demais essa musica...

  • This video still freaks me out. Makes me kinda wish I went to Much Music to be apart of the audience so I could've asked them what the F*CK they were thinking when they made this creepy as$ video knowing children favor them?

  • This song deserves to live forever - it is haunting and deep - it sticks with you

  • i used to LOVE this video......I LOVE THE SPIICE GIRLS and im a 19 yr old male.....im not ashamed...they were a big part of my childhood!!!! long live the spice

  • @1stdannunu Male here too and it doesn't matter.. haha there was just something about the group. Infectious.

  • I don't care what people today say, the Spice Girls are enternal, VIVA FOREVER SPICE GIRLS.

  • I wonder what this video would have been like if geri hadnt left the group?

  • @Dan85

This video was actually made BEFORE Geri left believe it or not

  • @MrSistasista -- wow. What a strange concept for a music video.

  • @Dan85

    Yeah it was quite daring

The reason all five couldn't film a video themselves is because from February - September 1998 they were on a sell out 100 + date world tour.

I do kinda like the video though but one with them all in it would have been great too.

  • i actually dont understand this video could someone explain it to me please?

  • i actually dont understand this video could someone explain it to me please?

  • che ricordi..che meraviglia..<e

  • This music video is kind of depressing. Good, but it's hard not to feel some sort of emotion.

  • It seems i am not the only one who had great memories with this beautiful song... feels like yesterday sure it will VIVA FOREVER in my heart....

  • super belle chanson elle me rapel tout les bons moments passer avec mon homme et ma belle famille pendant les vacances

  • This song is forever a song that completely takes me back. It makes me cry sometimes. God, I loved these girls!

  • I'm 18 and this song came out when i was 6. Proper brit 90's kid. Listening to this song for the first time after all these years automatically reminded me of my childhood. I cannot believe time has passed so fast.

  • @Sharpxful i know exactly what your feeling, im 20 and it came out when i was 8, god times passes so fast.

  • class song

  • ik vind ut ma niks ! Maare die clip he, dies gewoon spacevaag gwoon. alsof je in een LSD trip bent blijven hangen ofso

  • This music video creeped me out when I was a kid....don't know why. lol

  • i didnt know that thanks for telling us :)

  • classic spice girls loved the 90's music, movies, programs, the people, the time, even adverts and the style, the cartoons and everything about the 90's! :') gona miss it

  • this song makes it sound like Geri died or something

  • essa musica foi feita quando a geri deixou o grupo?

  • so i read about how everyone cries to this video but i cant stop laughing .....!!!!!

did i not get the memo????

  • this song reminds me of my ex-boyfriend.

  • WHen I was little I always thought that the boy just threw his sister into the gumball or prize machine and when he gets home hes gonna be in so much trouble...and I learned never trust a spice girl they may just trap you in a rubix cube for all eternity.

  • @notouchi lol awww thats so cute of you to think like that shows how innocent a child is

  • just use youtubeonlinevideoconverter . c om

to download any songs from youtube!

  • Spice Girls, thanks for bringing me happiness when I was a kid. So great memories.

  • @keyvinbr Totally agree... they came out when I was 6, and I grew up adoring them, esp Baby spice... this song is just stunning

  • Trapped inside a rubik's cube: EPIC xD

and then...TOSS THE KINDER SURPRISE!!! :D

  • That's the Corn Flakes Rooster !

  • Did the fairies kill her or something??????

  • He'll find her soon. This used to make me cry because she lost his best friend. But she's probz having a cool time with the fairies :)

  • @Antswithsugarrush It was a girl!? I didn't realise!

  • when I saw this I cried so much because the STUPIED fairies killed her. I had nightmares FOREVER about it. :'(

  • this songs reminds me of good times :) childhood ahh

me and my best friend always listened to this song when we were little and now when she came over to England to see me we listened it again. awwww i still <3 it.

  • ahh good old days

  • thumbs up if you love the corn flakes chicken

  • I must have been 8-9 when this came out I'd watch it all the time and

think of my best friend ..I haven't seen it since I was 9 and now that I have I think of him and everything that's happened since, literally brang a tear to my eye.

  • I love this song... but I don't know what the hell is going on! did those fairies kidnap that girl? can anyone explain it?

  • rofl they kinda scary looking...lol but I love this song :P

  • you dont get music videos like this anymore, ones with an actual story & meaning.

  • @AaSsSsx Just because you don't understand the story in modern-day music videos, doesn't mean it isn't there. ;)

  • @Kaggypants i think she meant you dont have such deep meaning in modern music video now is usually just about cheating or falling in love, if you dont know what i mean then you wouldnt ever know what im talking about only those who hate modern music will understand, i dont really hate it but i dont love it at all want to go bk in time

  • @angeleyes7868 I think it's actually the reverse. If you don't understand postmodern art, you wouldn't know ANYTHING about today's music video scene and would only see the bare minimum: cheating and falling in love. Do you study art or any form of the humanities? Surely you would see the postmodern aspects in something as obvious as Gaga's work. haha

  • @AaSsSsx this is such a cute video

  • @AaSsSsx Nah just stars and their drunken drug awesome lives - so fucking boring

  • this is my favorite from them

  • Brings back some wonderful memories! : )

  • This song makes me wonder what the hell happened to music since the 1990s...

Or perhaps my tastes never evolved with the popular music these days.

  • :(!!

  • wow this song made made cry

  • This album was just a lot sadder than their debut...:(

  • this song makes me cry every time i listen to it <3 SPICE WORLD ALL THE WAYYYY!
