Seems like this religious theology teaches hate and the bigots who believe in all this hogwash pick and choose what they want out of it to manipulate the masses....? Is this a correct assessment??
God is a forgiving God and he tells us that we are not to judge others, it is not our place! So tell me, where do you get off juding homosexuals, lesbians, transexuals, anyone?!!! Judge lest ye be judged! The way in which you judge others, is the same way in which you will be judged by God.
The payment for this sin is destruction, but God is rich in mercy and compassion. He will pardon your sins (for we all have sinned)... he simply requires that you confess your sins and turn from them and look to His son, Jesus Christ. Christ payed the penalty for sin when He hung on the cross. May God grant you repentance... I hope to see both of you in Heaven.
God loves all that is pure and right and just... God loves marriage. "God made them male and female" and "in HIS image they were made." When we freely choose to do those things that are directly opposed to God's loving purpose in our life, we are defaming His image and rebelling against the King of the universe.
@06DAYZ So tell me know, why is it, that God is known as HE? God has no image. God is God. This is another of the misinterpretations that has been taught to the masses. Plus for you to say that people are opposing God's loving purpose is just another toss of judgement. God gave us all the opportunity to grow: mentality, spiritually. To say that GOD HATES FAGS is a complete abomination of those that judge homosexuality. To teach hate, is not something God or Jesus would do.
I'm sorry for the terrible experiences you may have had. There are hypocrites in our churches... but the truth is, God does indeed hate ALL sin. Not just homosexuality - but all. And the reason is because God is good.
The religious organizations who preach hate while hiding under God's name are cowards. Jesus himself taught that his kingdom is no part of this world. He taught to pay Caesar's thing to Caesar (taxes, respect and the like. The cowardly "religious" leaders of today are not interest in Christ's kingdom. Why more don't see them for what they are is beyond me. Perhaps it is because there are only a few on the road to everlasting life under Gods kingdom!
