I would never buy a Motorola phone. why? At one time I worked in their cellular divison in Shaumburg. All I can say is buyer beware. They had awful quality and cheated their customers left and right.
In December I bought a Samsung Milspec phone... the Convoy, as I'm on Verizon, and no, I don't work for Samsung.
Agree. First one I had, kept running out of memory. Took it in, ATT rep says, hmm, you have lots of memory ? but try adding more. Added more memory, same thing .. "your out of memory". Swapped it for a second Tundra, same thing. Finally, Tundra had an accidental slip into hot tub, and was there for maybe 3 seconds .. that put it away. Will I get another Tundra .. NO WAY.
Wont hold a charge. I never had a problem with my analog phone. I think going to that gps shit was just a way to make more billions. My analog phone never lost a signal never failed me even once, but this piece of shit is a phone from hell. i paid 300 for mine and it didn't last 4 months.Of course AT&T will not be responsible of course. AT&T up yours. If i didn't have an Auto Repair shop i wouldn't even own the shit they sell now. I been out nothing but money ever since they switched from analog
Amen brother. I paid 300 for mine and have had it less then 4 months and i agree this is the worst phone ever built. What a piece of shit. It is heavy bulky and slow as hell. As a matter of fact AT&T sucks but they dont give a shit. Just sell phones. I have never been so pissed off at a phone in my life. When they went away from analog that was the worst move ever. My analog phone never lost a signal never failed me once but ever since they changed i have had nothing but problems.
Weberaudio's review is spot on. Worst thing is it will not hold a charge. Do not purchase this phone. I can't wait to finish my contract. At least my Razr would keep a charge and had good sound quality.
Mine has never been wet, never been dropped & it will not ring, it will not connect on outgoing calls & just clicks & pops at me if someone does call. They are supposed to be water resistant & shock proof but they failed on both of those objectives apparently.
water resistant is different than waterproof. you can go swimming with a waterproof phone (although i wouldn't recommend it). water resistant means that if it happens to get wet "by accident" due to lets say rain or snow, it will probably survive.
A "rugged" phone with an external antenna? Mine broke after 5 months of normal use. Since it was "physical damage" neither ATT nor Motorola would repair or replace. $150 + 2 months wait for repair shop to order a replacement case which never came, then take it to China (!) to replace the shell. The antenna alone can NOT be replaced; you have to buy a whole new instrument. Now the antenna has sheared off again, even though I was being super-careful. Do NOT buy this crappy, badly designed phone.
The Tundra looks great and appears to be well built, the sound quality is crap and it does not last long on a charge. The menu system is endless and filled with such useless clutter it is annoying. The camera button on the side is a pain because every time I grab it to remove it from the holster, it goes into camera mode and takes snap shots. The software locks up and it is fussy about Bluetooth compatibility. Bottom line I hate it!
I have had mine less than a day and am beginning to realize what a totally bad phone it is. My Razr v3 may not have held a signal as well but it was simple to do things like edit with it. The moron that designed the menus for this should be drawn and quartered.
i agree ive had my tundra for less then a year..clam shell hinge busted on its own internally..and my screen is black..att wont fix cause they cosider that physical damage..so 1 year warranty doesnt apply..fakest rugged phone ever...motorola just used rugged as a marketing ploy.not rugged at all..and att sucks
Need I say more. I am so happy with my new waterproof phoen I can't say enought. Motorola blewit on this phone and I will keep this video up as long as they sell that phone
