It doesn't work with Vista, and I'm assuming it also doesn't work with 7. I installed the trial, and when trying to install to the Barcode scanner it gives the error saying "ActiveSync is not on this computer" . ActiveSync only works with XP and earlier Windows versions...
@gnarlucci Hello there. TracerPlus ODBC Link is also compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7 using the Windows Mobile Device Center (which is the replacement for ActiveSync). Be sure you have that installed. It is possible that the error you are getting is using the wrong terminology. We may need to update the error (If it is an ODBC error) to include WMDC. I hope this helps.
@tracerplus You're right, I retract my previous statement. I figured it out right after I left the comment :( sorry. Yes, you may want to think about updating the error..or making it OS specific.
@tracerplus Hey would you guys be able to help me out? I've installed a trial version on a PC and a Symbol MT2070 scanner (exactly like the model in the video), but I can't figure out how to use the application with the device (user interface, buttons, etc.)
@gnarlucci For a full trial, you'll want to download a total of 3 software programs. ODBC Link for your PC, TracerPlus for your MT2070 and then TracerPlus Desktop. Desktop is installed on the PC and lets you design your own forms. Its also free without any trial restrictions. Both ODBC Link and TracerPlus Desktop are accessible through the Windows Start menu. Just look for "PTS" in your program list after you install.
After you've installed TracerPlus Desktop, a good way to get started is to select "Search Online Samples" , then search for one of our MT2000 specific apps. It may not be exactly what you're looking to do, but can give you a head start on creating your own. We have an asset tracking app, an inventory app and a few others.
In addition, we have full user guides for all or our software that gets installed with the applications. They can also be found in the PTS folder in your start menu.
how do i enable the quantity with this scanner.
