Almost Killed by rc car

I have a normal Petrol 1/5 scale Baja buggy thing and one day i lost control of it at half speed roughly 40km/h in the street i live in and i didn't break my foot but i had a bruise and tyre makes over it plus it knocked me clean over.. didn't play with if for 2 weeks after that lol

why do they use those one hand gun lookin controllers. i remember when i got an rc car that had one like that it pissed me off so bad it just seems like for ones so complex it would be more like an rc air plane remote with a bunch of knobs. either way theyre still crazy fast it just would bug the shit outta me or does it get easier?

I don't really think even if that hit you in the chest that it would of killed anyone, maybe the head off of a fast jump, but not from the knees down. lol Now I dont have it on video, but my RC8Be actually almost killed my buddy hear when I was doing 75mph speed runs and he turned to look at something when it went past, hit a rock on the road and got too much air underneath and launched 12 feet n the air right over top his head! he had to go home and change his pants after that one lol!

im tempted to get a 1/8 nitro buggy but i cant afford it so, since im a beginner im getting a 1/10 condor pro (not sure though) plz tell me it is a good vehicle >8-)

It seems like it's on the cheap side, but it's a good idea to go cheap on your first vehicle. I have never seen or even heard of this buggy before. The reviews seem to be decent considering the price. It looks to be a good beginner vehicle to me. Be sure to do some research on rc forums to see what problems you might encounter. Also make sure to learn proper procedures to maintain you vehicle. Learn how to adjust the needle on the carb, break in procedures for a new engine, battery charging, ect

@sunfiremyfriend also be sure to check the buy/sell adds on these websites. sometimes you can pick up some nice gear for pretty decent prices. be sure to look at the seller's ratings, they will tell you a lot. i picked up a 1/8 scale Ofna Ultra for $100, and i've been bashing the crap out of it for a while now. i started off in the same boat with a duratrax overdrive and now i can hang with some pretty nice buggys. hope you're enjoying your condor!!!
