The point is death note would never use willpower as a means to explain something there is always a proper explanation that follows the boundaries of the anime, in code geass the geass cannot be overturned but threw willpower nunally did just that. This is breaking the rule set by the anime which death note never did so thats why Death Note > Code Geass (although geass's ending was better)
Sometimes in code geass things just happened to surprise the viewer but there was no true logic behind it examples are when euphy starts to kill all the japanese because of a dumb mistake lelouch made, thats mostly random because he could have said something else like bring me cake but just to juice up the intensity it happened that way, another example was when nunally opened her eyes which made no sense cause she could never open them before but just because of will power.
I love both animes, but Death Note is slightly better than Code Geass, because in death note things dont just happen because they happen, there is always a technical reason behind it and it makes sense.
@ axlar: there is a big problem that people never seem to think of. Code geass has huge knightmares with huge guns and lasers, death note doesnt hav any of that. They would hav to b in the same world to determine who would actually win. In my opinion Light even though he died still created a better world by wiping out all those criminals, even if he was totally evil at the end.
I just wonder what would happen if they actually had to trace each other down and kill the other. I mean, since they're equally skilled, but they're powers are so different.

You guys are confusing all the meaning of this AMV. "Kira vs Zero" is not like a battle between them two. It's just comparing the heroes of the two animes. For me they are equal for the following reasons. Light started as a flawless figure with an ideal to create a justice world even if his methods are injustice. Lulu had the same ideal but he started of a weak (to light) person who made a lot of mistakes. We can tell this through how many time C.C. saved his ass. Light never trusted anyone.
People are missing the big idea. Focused only on suppernatural abilities you all miss their goals, Light wants to create an ideal world using social control over the people much like Lelouch's Fathers plan. Lelouch and Sousaku oppose this idea and want to create a world without peace using psychological tyranny. By uniting the people to hate a common enemy(lelouch alias),you create peace, instead of using fear to control people. Lelouch wins, in power, in method, and is more mature than Light.
@iMoreAsianR To add onto what you said above, Lelouch's ascension to power is completely different than Light if you consider it psychologically. Lelouch killed with his own hands-Light physically witnessed death 3 or so times in the series. Also, Light was altogether separated from anything bad happening to him sans his plans getting messed up and two family members screwed up, versus Lelouch loosing EVERYTHING over the course of the series. In the end, it's only logical that he was more mature

He also never pays attention to and/or cares about the consequences of his actions and killings. Meanwhile, Lelouch never allows Geass to take control of him and change who he is. He personally knows/experiences/and cares about the conseqences of what he does. Plus, Lelouch and Suzaku never lose sight of their goal. Lulu wins.

I think part of the reason is that Lelouch never lost sight of his goal, he was doing it for someone else - Nunnally. Light was taken over by his power and was trying to achieve Godhood. I can't really decide between the two of them! I like Code Geass's plot more, since it seems more in depth and well thought out. At the same time, the characters (AKA: Light and L) in Deathnote are more in-tuned with reality then the ones in Code Geass. Zero has the will to recreating the world and Kira has the unmerciful heart. In the end, the thing that they both wanted was a state of "peace" in the world, no matter what methods they took to get it. It's so hard to decide.
Seriously, I personally think they both kick ass. They both have great powers each and they can both really analyse and take advantage of their enemies' weaknesses. And besides, it's pointless trying to compare them, they aren't from the same world, remember ?

Light almost got caught right away by L. If it wasn't for the stupid police force, L could have got him! Lelouch was a lot more careful about being found out. @SteakandSoda i have watched code geass, and i love it. Kira found many criminals on the net. Kira could find files on lelouch, regardless his mask. This is just like kira and L. "L" is an alias, but kira still figured it out. And in this circumstance, i dont think they would even meet, kira would kill him before then. Of course, it would take forever, to find out who kira is, just like it took L and Near a pretty long time (although near found it pretty quick).

I didnt see lelouch having a huge army until much later on in the series when the knights where well known and im asking how would light appeal to the black knights a student with a book? and even if zero accepts he be a basic solider who couldnt even get a glint of zeros mask much less get his trust.

If there's any significant distance at all between them, Kira will win. If they are just told, "Kill that guy across the street", Zero would win. We need a scenario here, people? In the end, Kira has the greater advantage; he can simply shield his eyes or wear sunglasses to be immune to Geass, whereas there is no escaping the Death Note.

i like light and death note more. i didnt get that same feeling from code geass and some times it was very boring probably because i like it more realistic and mecha ruins it. hearing lelouch giving commands from out of a robot was also boring hearing kira reveal his masterplans and moves was more exiting.

I enjoyed more Lelouch for some reason, he didn't seem so arrogant and mentally weak like Light. I kinda felt him to be more human and less serious or robotic like light.I have to admit, Light plays one of the most amazing roles I've seen and he's truly a very important character.Even though I enjoyed more DN than CG, my vote goes for Lelouch .He has more physical abilities and his power is faster than Light's.both might die in the fight, but I believe Lelouch would be the last one standing.

R1 Lelouch would win because not many people knew what Lelouch last name was, and Lelouch also wore a mask as Zero, so Kira/Light can't find out. also if anyone says that Kira can just put Lulu in the death note is enough your wrong you forgot that one rule is that you need the person's full name to kill them. also i read some says that a person can just have their head tilted to avoid geass. your wrong there has been plently of people who didn't look at Lelouch directly but they still got geassed, Lulu only needs to look into their eyes.

@thestegman100 If you want to compare brilliance then compare Light to Edward Elric from the series FMA. Edward done more stuff at the age of twelve than Light could ever do. Edward is more calculating and a child prodigy. He didn't even need his dad's reputation to plan something out. He didn't have the luck of having his father's records of a case, he did everything by his self and it was not selfish at all! In the beginning for Light it may have been a good deed.

The point is death note would never use willpower as a means to explain something there is always a proper explanation that follows the boundaries of the anime, in code geass the geass cannot be overturned but threw willpower nunally did just that. This is breaking the rule set by the anime which death note never did so thats why Death Note > Code Geass (although geass's ending was better)

Sometimes in code geass things just happened to surprise the viewer but there was no true logic behind it examples are when euphy starts to kill all the japanese because of a dumb mistake lelouch made, thats mostly random because he could have said something else like bring me cake but just to juice up the intensity it happened that way, another example was when nunally opened her eyes which made no sense cause she could never open them before but just because of will power.

@ axlar: there is a big problem that people never seem to think of. Code geass has huge knightmares with huge guns and lasers, death note doesnt hav any of that. They would hav to b in the same world to determine who would actually win. In my opinion Light even though he died still created a better world by wiping out all those criminals, even if he was totally evil at the end.

You guys are confusing all the meaning of this AMV. "Kira vs Zero" is not like a battle between them two. It's just comparing the heroes of the two animes. For me they are equal for the following reasons. Light started as a flawless figure with an ideal to create a justice world even if his methods are injustice. Lulu had the same ideal but he started of a weak (to light) person who made a lot of mistakes. We can tell this through how many time C.C. saved his ass. Light never trusted anyone.

Lelouch and Sousaku oppose this idea and want to create a world without peace using psychological tyranny. @iMoreAsianR To add onto what you said above, Lelouch's ascension to power is completely different than Light if you consider it psychologically. Lelouch killed with his own hands-Light physically witnessed death 3 or so times in the series. Also, Light was altogether separated from anything bad happening to him sans his plans getting messed up and two family members screwed up, versus Lelouch loosing EVERYTHING over the course of the series. In the end, it's only logical that he was more mature

I think part of the reason is that Lelouch never lost sight of his goal, he was doing it for someone else - Nunnally. Light was taken over by his power and was trying to achieve Godhood. I can't really decide between the two of them! I like Code Geass's plot more, since it seems more in depth and well thought out. At the same time, the characters (AKA: Light and L) in Deathnote are more in-tuned with reality then the ones in Code Geass. Zero has the will to recreating the world and Kira has the unmerciful heart. In the end, the thing that they both wanted was a state of "peace" in the world, no matter what methods they took to get it. It's so hard to decide.

Light almost got caught right away by L. If it wasn't for the stupid police force, L could have got him! Lelouch was a lot more careful about being found out. He only got found out when his sister was in danger and his friend followed him. Also L died first then Light. Lelouch planned his own murder!!

And why would Light kill Lelouch, unless he knew he was Zero? Lelouch is just some random school kid. Of course, so is Light, at the beginning of the series... @SteakandSoda i have watched code geass, and i love it. Kira found many criminals on the net. Kira could find files on lelouch, regardless his mask. This is just like kira and L. "L" is an alias, but kira still figured it out. And in this circumstance, i dont think they would even meet, kira would kill him before then. Of course, it would take forever, to find out who kira is, just like it took L and Near a pretty long time (although near found it pretty quick).

I didnt see lelouch having a huge army until much later on in the series when the knights where well known and im asking how would light appeal to the black knights a student with a book? and even if zero accepts he be a basic solider who couldnt even get a glint of zeros mask much less get his trust.

And Light didn't get outsmarted in the end: he defeated L and lost to Near only because Mikami screwed up. Whereas CC saved Lelouch's ass, Suzaku saved Lelouch's ass, superior forces saved Lelouch's ass, a huge fucking overpowered mech, luck, Suzaku again, Emperor, etc. all saved his ass, many times, but Light was on his own.

it would be a cat and mouse game, both zero and kira trying to find out who the other is and kill them, it could actually work, both are geniuses and have a very definite sense of justice, only Lelouch cares about helping people and changing the world, while light did it or himself, my guess is since zero wouldnt know who light was, light would ask to join the black knights, there, he would eventually gain zero's trust, so zero could tell him his identity and its check mate, light would win

If there's any significant distance at all between them, Kira will win. If they are just told, "Kill that guy across the street", Zero would win. We need a scenario here, people? In the end, Kira has the greater advantage; he can simply shield his eyes or wear sunglasses to be immune to Geass, whereas there is no escaping the Death Note.

@codegeass7162 No, you're wrong. If sunglasses don't block Geass, then why does his mask thing's eye need to open for him to use Geass? Sunglasses obviously work, and that's all light needs to avoid the loss. He can manipulate people like Kallen into giving/forcing Lelouch's real name out to win. If he has ANY info about Lelouch or Geass beforehand, he can't lose. This university student outsmarted the world's police forces with nothing but a notebook, whereas Lelouch had an army to hide him.

i like light and death note more. i didnt get that same feeling from code geass and some times it was very boring probably because i like it more realistic and mecha ruins it. hearing lelouch giving commands from out of a robot was also boring hearing kira reveal his masterplans and moves was more exiting.

^^ umm lelouch would do everything to know its opponent's weakness so that he can beat him easily, lelouch would win for sure. Why? well duhh if lelouch found out about light's note book and identity then lelouch would make a plan to kill him directly. I haven't seen lelouch fail a plan ever!

I enjoyed more Lelouch for some reason, he didn't seem so arrogant and mentally weak like Light. I kinda felt him to be more human and less serious or robotic like light.I have to admit, Light plays one of the most amazing roles I've seen and he's truly a very important character.Even though I enjoyed more DN than CG, my vote goes for Lelouch .He has more physical abilities and his power is faster than Light's.both might die in the fight, but I believe Lelouch would be the last one standing.

Nice video. and to those who are complaining who would really win it really matters what seriers you want to talk about. R1 Lelouch would win because not many people knew what Lelouch last name was, and Lelouch also wore a mask as Zero, so Kira/Light can't find out. But if it was R2 Kira/Light would mostlikely win. for Lelouch name was revealed and his face shows on T.V.

also if anyone says that Kira can just put Lulu in the death note is enough your wrong you forgot that one rule is that you need the person's full name to kill them. also i read some says that a person can just have their head tilted to avoid geass. your wrong there has been plently of people who didn't look at Lelouch directly but they still got geassed, Lulu only needs to look into their eyes.

Lelouch, hands down, is the winner.
Personally, I think Death Note is pretty good, but Code Geass just kicks it up with the emotions and it actually has morals... :D Also, someone tell me that Lulu is not totally HOT xD (insert fangirl squee here)

@Anonomous0C Ah, but they both have to know the person's face to use their powers. Light would have to see Lelouch without his Zero mask on first, so Light and Lelouch would have to meet in person, in which time Lelouch could use his Geass powers to kill Light.

Lelouch has a conscience and he continously said he was giving it up to save the people but it got in the way. I'd rather have someone like Lelouch that cares instead of some person that goes around killing for some stupid reason. There will always be criminals and there will always be criminals framed. @sekangel88 look, I didn't say LIGHT had morals (though he did, he just lost them DX) I said DEATH NOTE had a definite lesson to be learned.
Also, at the beginning, Light also said that he was willing to give his soul to try to make the world a better place. At first, Light was good & pure & all that shit, but the power of the death note corrupted him, just like Lulu's powers corrupted him (just not as much.... like you said, he at least still had a heart D3) Also, at the time I made (2bcont.)

Light kills criminals without thinking about that at all! And yes, Lelouch did crack a couple of times but he came from a broken home. He was traumatized because of his parents having a god complex much like Light did. Then everyone he loves ends up dying. What is Light's excuse for going bonkers. He comes from a good home!

@sekangel88 well yes Lelouch is a much more sympathetic and reasonable character, but look what they're trying to do, both are trying to rule the world for different reasons, and in order to do that, you have to be ruthless, Light didn't care who he had to kill to get the job done, he'd kill his own sister if he had to, while lelouch was too soft, he didn't want his friends to get hurt, and broke down in the midst of battle when he thought Nunnelly died, Light kept his cool til the end

@thestegman100 If you want to compare brilliance then compare Light to Edward Elric from the series FMA. Edward done more stuff at the age of twelve than Light could ever do. Edward is more calculating and a child prodigy. He didn't even need his dad's reputation to plan something out. He didn't have the luck of having his father's records of a case, he did everything by his self and it was not selfish at all! In the beginning for Light it may have been a good deed.
