not really...sky was overcast so the camera had the aperture wide open. That arc was 2-3 seconds at most...the camera would have had no time to correct itself and promptly overloaded: hence the black spot.

It can't be a black hole on earth, he's just saying that it would be cool if it were. Have to disagree with him, though, because the earth would probably be compressed to about 1/10 its size by the extreme gravity. You're right that black holes aren't really holes but I think there's a theory out there that at the center of a black hole is a "wormhole" or a hole in this... dimension? I don't know the theory, but I believe I saw it on Nova.

Yes, it was on the discovery chnl a few days ago on "The Universe" show. That worm hole theory I think is impossible to actually be real because first of all, you can't get through the star's surface (I am thinking it has now compressed to a solid) so is it only a mathematical idea. Anything would hit the surface and stay there. Besides, we still think of the "universe" as being infinate so where would something go that it would not end up somewhere else in our universe?

Well, we can't ever truly know because we obviously can't get anywhere near a black hole without dying. However, I think it might be possible. I mean, the sheer gravity of those things is massive, and the other end of the wormhole (assuming there is one) would have to be another black hole. i happy u guys know i was joking, but seriously the particle accerators make mini black holes from what i read in a popular science magazine like 3 yrs ago. the matter colliding can in rare situations destroy itelf into mini blackholes that last under a second. its creepy but yea we can make them , and yes particle accerrators use high voltages as well as magnetic forces. im sure when they do that in a lab there violating some type of law , but who knows what were not really told.
