First of all, thank you for serving our country. Second, I would like to use your video in our upcoming movie. I can be reached at franktherrera@gmail.com
I agree,....I believe the brass fucks them up, We give them r children and they send us back broken men. Then they expect theses people to respond to civilian life normally, this leads to sadness suicide fetishes and every single bad thing u could think of.....Its like having a REAL REAL bad babysitter....we need more anti w ar vids.
Thank you so much for your service, Reynaldo. It's awful to know people spit on the soldiers who've already seen and been through so many traumatic events. It was cool to meet you in NYC, btw. I certainly remember you. :) We exchanged words were in Central Park. :)
You know the war in Vietnam is no longer a thing in the forefront of their minds? They're pretty much forgotten. The younger generation loves anything made American and a pair of USA jeans given is like you just bought them a new laptop or something to us. These days they just want our tourism and for us to spend our American dollars there.
Rey, this is something that I've read about and studied countless times in history classes, but that kind of thing lacks the power of hearing you talk about it from first hand experience.
Hopefully the Viet Nam experience has taught us not to confuse our anger at a corrupt administration with the servicemen who weren't cynical or mature enough to just say no.
You know what the Bush Administrations both learned from VietNam, that was to get out in front of the Anti-War movement with their superficial SUPPORT THE TROOPS campaigns! They also learned to hire slick PR Companies to promote the war with advertisements that lie! They did it in the Gulf War and they did it this time! We the people don't seem to be learning much, but the criminals have learned a lot!
sad. how many times are we going to be outwitted and befuddled by these murderous old fascists before the citizens finally have enough of their bloody nonsense.
Rey I happen to be in the Sacramento airport last xmas when all of a sudden I heard applause and it was getting louder I looked around to see what was happening it was a group of soliders coming in everyone there was applauding them and the ones that were sitting stood up as these brave men and women walked by couldn`t help but get all welled up inside seeing the appreciation from all around....I do hope this generation gets the respect they deserve that your generation didn`t...
Thanks for sharing this with us! Hopefully as this very unpopular War grinds on this attitude will prevail! I see these young men & women at the VA Hospital already, yes there are Iraq Veterans already! I see them...
rey, i saw this doc recently about this kid who came back from Iraq, he joined so he could better himself and come back with something better for his family, instead, he came back to the same old shit...it was harsh seeing this guy who looked a hardcore street hustler collapse into tears because he had nothing to live for at 20 years old, for seeing and doing things he would have never wanted to in the first place.
I needed to add something! Kelley (Nutcheese) sees the Iraq Veterans too! While she does her work with homeless youth! Some of the homeless young people she knows had joined up did their time and are back on the streets still homeless after having served! WTF!
Stop ignorance. See the youtube vid called: What you didn't know about the war
