I like the idea that a teacher gives inspiration, a child motivates themselves after being inspired. How many teachers in schools run by the church are inspiring? On top of the PMT and frustration of working in a field that teachers seem to wonder why the hell they became teachers in the first place. The whole education system needs to get away from the church and into an inspiring and intelligent system.

@litomousie As the video notes, that's "extrinsic" motivation- it's most preferable for students to be motivated intrinsically, to want to learn for the sake of learning...
