It makes me sad to see the boys apart, but the greater sadness comes from their fans picking sides. I understand if they are new to TVXQ/JYJ, but to those that have been fans for years how dare you bicker at each other over who can sing and can't? Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu, and Changming took years of training where as the boy groups making their debuts nowadays only train for a couple of years or less. If you have nothing good to say about them then leave, go listen to those new boybands.

But the name TVXQ belongs to the five members...not SM.
JYJ are letting them use the name that they also have the right to.
The only reason some fans may be mad at them is because they said that if its not five then its not TVXQ, yet SM now want us to forget about JYJ and call only HoMin TVXQ.
PS, if you were around like two years ago, you would know why ppl hate SM.

However,because they were underage the boys legally could not sign over their rights.
Their parents had the power to do so...but they decided that the boys should wait until they were older to decide whether to give SM their rights to the name.

Honey, I know that already about them trying to get the trademark when they were minors and being denied because the boys' parents said that the boys have to give their consent when they're older.
And the woman over the Trademarks and Patents of Korea explained twice that SM can not get the trademark over TVXQ because its a five member group. Hence, the media of Korea deemed them saying that HoMin is TVXQ as illegal...that's why HoMin are signed as individuals not a group.

The way I interpret the story of the photoshoot is this:
With the makeup masks on (which can represent the false facades artists have to show publicly), Yunho and Changmin look strong, but as their 'masks' become smudged by tears, are being removed, or possibly just fading away over time, they start to show their true faces (their true identities, feelings and attitudes) and it reveals how vulnerable they really are (what Yunho notices when he is looking in the mirror), hence the emotions.

I know it's not really conventional to say it, but I think Changmin has the best facial structure I've ever seen. It's chiseled and angular, but soft and delicately defined.

I'm an ELF but also a CASSIE.
I really admired TVXQ. They will always be the Gods of the East.
To be able to hear and see them Yunho and Changmin only proves that TVXQ will always be one of the best group in Korea.

No one said that HoMin is doing anything wrong.
But the name TVXQ belongs to the five members...not SM.
JYJ are letting them use the name that they also have the right to.
The only reason some fans may be mad at them is because they said that if its not five then its not TVXQ, yet SM now want us to forget about JYJ and call only HoMin TVXQ.
PS, if you were around like two years ago, you would know why ppl hate SM.
They are the real backstabbers.

But I was replying to the part when you were saying that HoMin wasn't doing anything wrong.
I was trying to explain that its not the boys that fans are mad with...but SM.
And the reason some fans don't want them using the name TVXQ is because it belongs to OT5.
That's the main source of negativity with their comeback.
But most Cassies support all five boys.
Does that make sense?

No, SM doesn't own the name at all.
Check out the Korea Copyright and Patent law for TVXQ.
SM got the members to turn the name over to them when they were teenagers,which they naively did.
However,because they were underage the boys legally could not sign over their rights.
Their parents had the power to do so...but they decided that the boys should wait until they were older to decide whether to give SM their rights to the name.
The five members never did...

JYJ could use the name...when they released their Japanese mini album The...
Their Japanese company promoted them as TVXQ but Big East and Cassies told them not to.
We said that we didn't like it and didn't want JaeChunSu or HoMin to use the name...only Ot5.
So they came up with the name JYJ instead.
JYJ could call themselves TVXQ if they wanted to because they have the legal rights to do so.
But as co-owners of the name, HoMin could've sued them...not SM.

@Toniaj85 You need all 5 members' consent for SM to trademark the names. SM did get the permission of all 5 members but the application was denied because the members were minors (The latest news regarding the trademark was that SM withdrew the application to add more information/data to the application.)
Since TVXQ only consists of 2 members now, if SM were to apply for the trademarks with the consent of Yunho and Changmin, they'll get it.

Honey, I know that already about them trying to get the trademark when they were minors and being denied because the boys' parents said that the boys have to give their consent when they're older.
And the woman over the Trademarks and Patents of Korea explained twice that SM can not get the trademark over TVXQ because its a five member group. Hence, the media of Korea deemed them saying that HoMin is TVXQ as illegal...that's why HoMin are signed as individuals not a group.

The law of ownership would be different in America but that's how it is in Korea.
Whoever has the most association with the name owns it...which would be the members.
That's why Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky got to keep their names when they left SM.
After HOT broke up, SM could no longer use the name.
Only when they reunite can they be called HOT (which they will do soon).
Its different in Japan too, Avex owns JYJ's name not the members.

The way I interpret the story of the photoshoot is this:
With the makeup masks on (which can represent the false facades artists have to show publicly), Yunho and Changmin look strong, but as their 'masks' become smudged by tears, are being removed, or possibly just fading away over time, they start to show their true faces (their true identities, feelings and attitudes) and it reveals how vulnerable they really are (what Yunho notices when he is looking in the mirror), hence the emotions.

It's more about a person in pain but holding it in & not blaming anyone but really wished could start over longing over a broken relationship. To think these 2 wonderful voices created this beautiful melancholy ballad made me so proud of them! TVXQ fighting!

Im just falling in tears~ I dnt knw why but this song reminds me of all the members together, the times when they laughed together, singing together, madefun with each other and formed a team, a group of brothers and nt just a another kpop band. I especially remember the Yunjae moments *-* omg i need it back! aw~ the perfect climate, unique, smooth and fun that only Yoochun, Yunho, JaeJoong, Junsu and Changmin could bring together, moving as one, as the real TVXQ ♥♥♥ AW I WANT THEM BACK NOW!!

I know it's not really conventional to say it, but I think Changmin has the best facial structure I've ever seen. It's chiseled and angular, but soft and delicately defined.
Both of them are gorgeous but I would pass my hand over Changmin's cheeks and I would die happy.
