  • Then boooom! Haha!

  • Hey man. Love the vlog! Always makes me laugh. I sit here at work and have to work really hard to not crack up at my desk. I just got my first 600 - a ZZR600 after a year on a 500 - a Kawasaki ER5. I'm so glad I got the smaller, saner ER5 first cos in one year I've had 2 downs. One my own fault and one where I was hit from behind. Both at low speed so not much damage to myself and a few scuffs on the bike. So yeah. For a first bike get something cheap and not too quick. There's a lot to learn.

  • @goldenzim Thanks for the comment and kind words. I agree and i hope people watching the vid will see ur comment and take it to heart

  • what bike you got in the video?

  • @jimbo80982 Honda CBR 600 F4I

  • lololololol boxed in *cocks shotgun*

  • @jimbo80982 haha good thing u didnt see my "brown E" or "can D" puns in other vids ;P

  • @woodenchairs ... ill get my bazooka!

  • Riding with snow out is always great :) Just got out the other day when it was up to 40 and now I can't wait for spring!

  • hahh i agree i just got my bike people think thats crazzy and all that im going to do is show off but im all about safety and learning new xp great videos

  • @iCRASHEDmy2jz Thanx man. Glad u liked the vid. Hope ur careful when u get a new bike and i hoope ur careful enough to buy something easier to learn on for a first bike. Classic new rider mistake is to go for to big of a bike for a first bike and they end up hurt.

  • Very excellent advice. I speak for my self an probably a lot of people that was very informative and very helpful. And learning to ride should be the main concern for new riders. And vlogging is an art and mastering the riding is up most the most important thing than having a camera in your face. So to everyone watching this ride safe and wear your safety gear.

  • @shagy2k5 no its not. A 600 is not a good bike to start on

  • is that snow on the road?????

  • Okay first of all.... was that real??? ROFL! the boomerang part I mean.

And screw your advice! Ima go smoke some weed, get drunk, and vlog on a bike that I've never ridden! Oh I'll show you! =P

  • @Chimenko89 No, i did the boomerang thing all myself. It was a response to 8cuttlefish8s vid where he threw that boomerang and it never came back. He mailed it to me from Australia and then i filmed this part.

  • @geedunk13 tried to answer ur comment in a message because i need more room than the comment box but u got that freakin friend lock on so i couldnt

  • @woodenchairs

wow, I never knew I had that on. I just turned it off. You can PM me now, sorry bout that

  • Ive been riding dirt bikes for almost 10 years, but Ive only been riding street bikes for 4 months. I want to vlog, but thanks to this video I have really taken the time to consider my options. I dont think I could ride with a camera in front of my face so I have to give you and the other vloggers major props for doing what you do and being pretty safe about it.

  • @2wheeledLoco Pretty cool 2 see u say this because normally its the dirt riders that think theyve got nothing to learn. They usually argue that they can start on bigger bikes, vlog right away, and even skip msf so its nice to see someone actually realize that its good to have an open mind and realize they might need 2 learn a little 4 street riding. So i def appreciate ur comment here and am glad ur going to take a little time to get used to the street bike.

  • LOL at the boomerang!!!!

  • With all the motovlogging going on now they should start selling cameras a the dealership.

  • I have to agree with you 1000% I've been riding my 1998 Suzuki Katana 750 for about a 1.5 years and only now do I feel comfortable enough to even think about getting a camera for vlogging.

  • I think God has many ways of thining out the herd. This may indeed be one of those methods. New rider plus vlogging, equals bad idea. But people don't listen, so...

  • In my case Im happy with doing voice overs... At least that way I know what Im doing is safe... Camera somewhere on the bike... give everybody something nice to look at other than my ugly mug then add a voice to it all later. Safety 1st... and Ive got 1000s of miles under my belt to... I don't know whats going on in some peoples heads... its the same as people who get a super sport as their 1st bike... crazy...

  • I agree on the SS bikes. Really not a lot of thinking goes into buying one of those for a 1st bike. Theres a lotta skill thats involved in riding and i dont mean in just handling the bike but also instincts on traffic and etc. Just a ton of things 2 get used to and learn that people dont realize. The last thing u need when learning is an overly agressive bike to contend with at the same time. Not 2 mention comfort.

  • lmfaoo!! u got owned by a boomerang which obviously failed cuz it didnt come back xD but good talk tho forreal i kno i want a motorcycle really bad and although motorcycle vlogging rlly isnt that appealing to me to begin with for those who do want to do its good to get use to it haha like playing guitar u kinda wanna have some type of skill before you post it on youtube or something lol

  • The boomerang is explained in my "someone RANG me" and "vlogger gifts" videos if you wanna know what that's all about. :)

I wish everyone would realize that. It def takes time and skill and riding and vlogging are both harder to do than they look.

  • haha ohh ohh i get it noww

  • Thats true specially that there is about 70 to 80% of chances that you will fall down as a new biker Im not saying that to be a dick but because its true expect your self to go down and do all you can to avoid it..

  • To reinforce your point, a camera on your helmet is also distracting. Even if you aren't talking at the same time. When I made my first videos in July, 2009, I felt very distracted when the camera was on my helmet because I was concentrating on keeping my head still for the camera. Because of that, I wasn't looking around as much as I should have; I missed seeing a lot of scenery, and was less aware of my surroundings as I should have been.

  • Excellent point! Thanks for making this comment :D

  • I enjoyed my trip much more when I had the camera mounted on the bike, and was free to enjoy the ride. My style of Vlogging is expressing my feelings in the music I choose and the text comments I add. My cameras wouldn't fit in a full faced helmet anyway.

  • agree new riders should have all their available faculties given to the 'job' of riding, rather than making videos.

using a rear facing camera (w/out an available mic to the rider) is worthwhile because the rider can us it as a tool rather than being one. doing that, the rider can view mistakes and see how to improve upon their riding.

  • Oh yeah id def agree with you on the rear cam idea. That could possibly help and, even if it didnt, would at least not distract the rider unless they started showing off for it.

  • I completely agree here man. I remember when SHC went through a red light randomly while vlogging... even though he has been doing it a lot, it still is distracting.

  • I actually remember you commenting on billys vid ,when he and i met in person and he caught some of the discussion about doing a vid about new riders vlogging, and you said there that you agreed with us about this. I had forgotten about shc running the red tho until u just brought it up. Good call (:

  • Hahaha! Woodenchairs I love this video man.

On top of that, I totally agree with you.

If the instincts haven't set in yet, you shouldn't be Vlogging, 100% right.

PS: You say this while you're riding in the middle of the winter :P

  • Glad you liked the vid.

Yeah but im very careful on the bike and had checked out the roads before i went.. As you can see, they're all clear.

  • From what part of wisconsin are you? I live in minnesota and the roads are looking like the roads in your video and I am thinking about getting out and riding, do you have any tips for road/weather conditions like in your video?

  • I live right by the boarder of MN. Kinda hard to give tips in the comment box but my main tip would be; dont take chances. Sloppy roads, and that can include a lotta salt snow or ice, can cause an easy fall. Better 2 be patient and wait for clear weather than take a risk.

  • @woodenchairs Thanks, i'll probably end up waiting another month or so, how close are you to the twin cities?

  • Im on the boarder so def close.

  • Nice PSA (Public Service Announcement) woodenchairs style.

  • i completly agree with u, i just started vlogging, and its weird as crap with a camera in my face, i wont ride in the city with it yet, i stick to the back roads. if i were to start vlogging off the bat i would of died haha, i think same thing goes for guys starting on a 600, in sooo glad i strted on a 250, so i can actually learn to ride fore i get the fast bike

and what the heck was the boomerang thing, made me laugh but i did not get it at all

  • Thanks for the comment! :D The boomerang, or as i call it the cuttlerang, is a collab vid i did with another vlogger named 8cuttlefish8. If you go to his page you can watch his vid called "where did my boomerang go" and then after u watch that youll see my vid response under it and youll have the full story. The clip i used in the vid u just watched is slightly different than the one i used as a response. Sorry for the confusion and thanks 4 watching. (:

  • Now I get it. No harm done, makes it even more hillarious ;), but I thought it wasn't on purpose at first, so thumbs up for awesome acting!

I subscribed! You have a good perspective to matters I wonder about from time to time :)

  • Haha now that makes me happy that i actually fooled someone because i did throw it at myself. (:

Thank you for subscribing too! I def appreciate that and am glad to hear we have some of the same thoughts on things. Every now and then i do a semi serious vlog about my thoughts on things like "vlog of Life" but usually i just talk about real subjects inna funny way like in "Motorcycle Stories of Death". Thanx for subscribing and watching. I appreciate it. (:

  • Great movie, I totally agree.

Now another thing, where the fuck did that boomerang come from? I'm so confused hahaha

  • Thanks man. I appreciate the comment.

haha, the cuttlerang is explained in 8cuttlefish8s vid called "where is my boomerang" which is featued on his page. If you actually click on his vid you'll see my vid response under it but you need to watch his first to understand what's going on in my vid. (:

  • i agree with everything you said Dave, i'm learning everyday and thats after 2years and 18000 miles plus the offroad stuff that i do

care is needed when starting out, riding is a dangerous thing, i've seen a couple of n00b vids recently where in them the riders seem to be trying to copy M13 and SHC with all the hand actions

brave of you to post this video, i hope it gets taken the right way by others :)

  • Thanks very much Dan. I hope it gets taken the right way too. Im not wanting to piss anyone off or tell anyone what to do but i really dont want to see someone get hurt and i hope this vid at least makes new riders at least a bit more cautious. If it makes even 1 rider take even a little extra time to learn before worrying about a cam in their face then it was def worth posting to me. (: I agree with u, i dont think you ever stop learning in riding or life.

  • My god. I'm glad you brought this up. I was riding to class last week and lost my back end in some sand while taking a corner. I just pulled in the clutch without thinking (Second nature). Oh boy am I glad I did because right hand accidentally twitched and made the engine roar. Scary stuff. I don't know how you can ride while there's still sand/salt/snow out on the road.

  • oh come on Kuo, your a professional god dammit!

  • I was trying to think of something sarcastic to say in response and all I can think of is your mom.... wait, that's sounds different than I meant it lol.

Definitely agree. I put a lot of miles on my butt before I started vlogging and I think that after my 6-7K this year (first year riding) I've got a ton left to learn. I know guys who have been riding for years with 100K+ miles and they still think that learning to ride is a continual process that you never stop doing.

  • Most definetly. Another commenter said that the day you think you dont have any more to learn is the day youre in trouble and i think its prolly the day youll crash. Doesnt seem to me that you ever stop learning no matter what it is. Life's just one big lesson.

  • Good advice. Bikes and cameras only go well together when you know what you're doing on a bike. Don't be watching any of svengalie's crash vids :)

  • Hes def had some rough times lately for sure. Looked like some painful landings but im glad he shows those because its a good thing for people learning to ride to see that even someone with a lot of experience like him can fall pretty easily.

  • sure, riding is complex on it's own, not only because the skill needed to ride, but because you're not alone on the road, lot's of mistakes happening all the time. Only with a TON of experience you can ride instinctively, like walking, and predict dangerous situations and more importatant, avoid them!

  • Great Video WC!

You're right and perhaps you saved the life of at least one person by posting this.

  • Thanks very much man. Id be happy if it just gets someone to be a little more careful and not get hurt much less do something that big. Hopfully people will realize that spending a few weeks getting used to the bike and riding really isnt a long time to wait to start vlogging. Thanks again for the comment. Its appreciated (:

  • I agree... I'm a reasonably experienced rider. And I sometimes catch myself not talking a lot, cause I (still) need my concentration for the road. For instance if there's a noob cager near me. Or when riding in the dark.

  • Me too and i also ride slower when im vlogging ive noticed to give myself more reaction time. Espec in the corners im really slower and talk less. Usually ends up that i cant use that part of the vid because i go quiet. (:

  • I really then don't want to be focused on talking when she/he just drifts into my lane. But I guess it's experience too (like recognizing that noob cager) that makes me shut up sometimes and focus on riding. It's true that after a while, you need less focus on the "act" of riding. But you still need attention to assess the traffic around you. I know when someone's going to change lanes (even if she/he doesn't signal) just by behaviour, like a little sidemovement of the car when checking mirrors.

  • Your first comment was good but this one's even better! I totally agree on this. Its that experience that does tell you when a situation is probably going to happen. Thanks very much for commenting! :D Thumbs up on this one fo sho

  • Lol you were reading as I typed?!?? ;)

  • If you're not too experienced and can't "read" traffic yet. I recommend you just stick to just riding... Vlogging is fun, but only when you can spare the attention and still ride safe.

I saw woodenchairs said he rides slower when he vlogs. That goes for me too.. I've lots of vids now that I didn't post cause I was just not making any sense (3 words in 5 min or something like that) or not talking at all. Cause I was just having fun riding (hard-ish) and needed my attention for riding.

  • Great video, I'm glad someone finally addressed this issue. People need to be more careful...youtube will still be here in a few months while they get some experience.

  • Thank you very much for the supportive comment. I just hope new riders will listen and take a little time to learn their bike before they start vlogging. And i totally agree with you, utube or some other site will always be there tomarrow but if youre not careful when you first start learning to ride.....you might not be.

  • A great vid for the masses ;-) 5*

  • Thank you sir. Much appreciated! :D

  • I've riding a whole week! no seriously, a WHOLE WEEK, EVERYDAY! and sunny weather! Hate me. :) Can I vlog now? :D Speaking of close calls, had one, vid is up now, disguised as a videoclip not to be so shocking :)

  • Safetyman would be very pleased!! I totally agree. Gotta learn how to ride, how to SEE first. Then once you have these things down, you can take the added risk of vlogging. Very responsible message, WC. Bravo!

  • Or, to use an expression that might impress even the Prof, you gotta learn to walk before you can run. (;

Thanks Prof. I always appreciate your supportive comments. lol@the safetyman remark. He hasnt commented yet but im hoping he'll be pleased too. (:

  • great video woodenchairs! 5* for safety of others!

  • Thanks Paul! Always appreciate your comments good sir. :D

How was that for speedy answer? (; lol

  • no problem mr. WC. It was probably the fastest reply I've gotten! :P I'm still wishing the snow would leave here... 2 more months and I might be able to take my bike out! I'm sortove thinking of ditching the idea of vlogging... or do it rarely on meetups or something... its just a pain in the ass for me to do it. ahh well I'll see once spring/summer comes! I need tires for my bike too! :O damn... not sure what to get... I was looking at Pilot Activ tires from Michelin... not sure if they're good

  • I wish the snow would leave too. When it is clear here its not long enough because theyre so slow about clearing the roads in town that by the time they do its snows again. :/ Then its just crazy cold constantly too. I was looking at the weather the other day and was actually thinking "oh wow, its gonna be 14. Thats def warmer" and then i thought wtf am i thinking?? :/ Ill throw u a message if you like about tires. Lot easier than trying to carry a convo on in these boxes

  • my town is the same way! they clean the roads really quick at the beginning/mid spring and then don't really finish their job until theres snow and its too late! I'd definitly appreciate it if you could help with tires :D I'll pm you about why I'm changing tires (the rear one is still good and front has a problem)

  • So tru man. I think people really needed to hear this. Stay safe out there man!

  • Thanks man. I feel people needed to hear it too even tho its not what a lot of people want to hear. The comment under yours is a good example but im really glad to see a lot of people giving such great feedback on this. Thanks very much for the comment. (:

  • I think im going to film my MSF ride.

I agree, but im one of those that are doing it! Granted I didnt really talk during mine.. I was just filming to learn what I was doing wrong... just posting them up for others to learn from my mistakes.

  • If you took the time to read all the comments under this vid you'd realize that wasnt such a great idea. Lotta people commented here with tons more experience than me saying the same things.

  • Im reading through them now... can you private message me the video you were recrencing that got you to start this one?

  • Couple people have asked me for that but i really cant do that. I dont want this person bombed by a bunch of people suddenly or to make him feel bad. In the end its your choice what you do but i think if u thought about it a little u'd realize it wasnt a good idea 4 u & it doesnt exactly show a good example for others who are thinking about riding. Im jus sayin ive ridden a LOTTA miles and theres peeps in these comments who have even ridden more & we all agree so its worth thinking over i think

  • Not a problem. And I agree. Thats why the two? vidoes I have posted have no talking in them. I cant really be considered a vlogger if I just attach a camera to the tail of my bike can I?

  • That is a LOT different putting a cam at the rear or on the side and not talking for sure. Either way tho, its your choice what you do and i dont wanna come across as preaching. In the end its just my opinion and we all gotta do what we think is right. Im just hoping maybe i can get people to take just a little time to get used to their bike before rushing into vlogging is all.

  • I agree then. And yes, I understand it too. I got my first road bike last year and I already want to upgrade to something faster.. but I know im not going to until I can fully understand the one I have now.

Point being, I wont be upgrading this year and I will definatly be on the MSF courses this year (beginner and intermediate)

  • You are 100% correct. Vlogging while riding is a distraction. it is probably not as bad as using a cell phone and driving but still it is one more thing to take your attention away from riding safely.

Oh, and there is a a BIG difference between being a "goofball" and being completely irresponsible. I'd put you in the goofball category. ;P

  • Hehe im glad to be in the goofball catagory. lolz :D

I totally agree with your comment and thanks for making it. (:

  • Mr Safety driving around on super clean roads (sorry had to bust your balls)

all good information, all of your concentration should be on the road, constantly scanning and being aware of your surroundings, believe me if you aren't you will be after you hit something in the road like a pot hole or a rough piece of pavement.

I would suggest a great book, I've been reading this off season 'Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well'

    -Ely

  • haha Dont forget that the cipster's mr safety. :D Not me.

Seriously tho; i appreciate the comment and def good advice on what u said and the book too. I wish the guy a few comments above with all the thumbs down would read that book.....:/

  • An australian threw a boomerang like a week ago, and after that week, it hitted you right into your camera, right in the moment u were vloging??!! What a coincidence =-D

  • I know right? He has a crazy throw and maybe some crazy storm or something brought it down just in time to hit me. Crazy spookie coincidence fo sho (; lol

  • Lol yep, i read the tags! I always read them now because of Freak mensioning it ages ago lol I agree with exactly what you said about vloggers need to learn to ride first, i've only been riding for three years (which is NOTHING) i think you'd agree that even guys/girl who've ridden for 30 years can always improve on something.

  • Oh yeah man i totally agree on that. I dont think you ever stop learning onna bike and when you think you do is when you're prolly gonna crash. (:

  • Good to know you're concerned. I could understand how a few people or more wouldn't enjoy hearing this, but you seem to have a way about delivering your concerns in a more gentle fashion.

  • I hope so and i do hope it doesnt bother anyone but i am concerned and i dont want to see anyone get hurt so i feel like it needed to be said. I know im not the only vlogger who feels this way either but, in the end, even if it does tick someone off it shouldnt because its just my opinion after all.

  • Well said WC. Its great to see you do this video and I would love to some of the other most popular vloggers do something similar to reach as many subscribers as possible. Not your funniest video but your most important imho. New riders is the only aspect of motorcycling vlogging that really sits uneasy with me. I have been riding a long time and know that everyday is a school day on a motorcycle.I never felt comfortable with a cam in my helmet and it is illegal here for good reason. Thanks WC.

  • Thanks RWR. Im really glad to hear you liked this vid so much. I was a little worried it wouldnt go over well but i felt it really needed to be said. Im worried about new riders too for the same reason and i would love 2 think that, even if this vid only makes 1 person take some extra time to practice, maybe i mighta kept at least that one person a little safer. I know people dont like 2 hear things for their own good but i felt like this had 2 be said so i appreciate your kind words very much.

  • Your message will reach the vast majority of vloggers new and experienced so I hope they take notice of what you have said. Some people can't see their speedo or leave the indicators on because the camera is in the way...its all distraction and its too easy to be killed or seriously injured on a bike when you're doing everything right. I don't want to be a killjoy because I get great enjoyment from watching the vlogs but I don't want to hear of anybody being hurt never mind see it happen. 5* vid

  • Thats kind of a seperate issue from what im talking about in the vid but i do agree with you that isnt a good reason to get a bike. You should want to ride because you love riding.

  • Very well said Mr. Woodenchairs. I think if you're getting a motorbike just to be a vlogger you're getting a motorbike for the all the wrong reasons.

You'd be missing what motorcycling is all about. You should buy a motorbike because you want to ride not because you just want to become a vlogger.

If you don't have any passion for motorcycling you will be a boring motorcycling vlogger.

  • Thats a seperate issue from what i talked about in the vid but i do agree with you on everything you said in your comment.

  • rofl at 6:02 i thought u broke a bit off the tip till i realised snow was on it haha....awesome vlog some good tips there mate:)

  • lol i liked this version of the cuttlerang footage i shot for me "someone rang me" video so i wanted to use it. I liked the footage i used too and that was longer so i went with it but hated to waste this one. (: Very glad you liked that and also appreciate the kind words about the vlog. Thanks very much for the comment man :D

  • nice tags

  • nice vlogging psa

  • haha yeah i guess it really was a psa but i truely am worried someones gonna get hurt and id hate to see that happen. Hopfully this vid will at least reach a couple people and get them to practice at least a month before worrying about vlogging. Id like to think that might keep someone from getting hurt and that would make me happy. lol yeah the tags are an inside joke with savethefreak. (: Thanks for commenting!

  • Ha, the first time I tried to vlog I magically forgot how to shift and lugged the heck out of my bike two or three times. I would say that you should at least wait 2,000 miles before starting to vlog.

  • Id love to see people wait a longer time like 2k but i know thatll never happen. Couple people in the comments already dont want to wait even one month so i knew not to ask for to much time when i did this vid. (: If this does make even 1 person take even that short month to practice tho then the vid was def worth it because i really dont want to see anyone get hurt. Thanks for the comment :D

  • If ur a noob then i am a noobasarous lol, i totall agree with what ur saying man, i was riding my bike about 3 moths before i started vlogging but even that was maybe to soon to start vlogging.

I gotta be honest, when i do motovlog a do feel like i loose a tiny bit of concentration, hmmm.

Im totally stoked u used that other cuttlerang footage, i love that sound it makes when it hits u lol.

  • Well said my friend. I know when im vlogging i actually ride slower and take it much easier. I think no matter how long u ride youre always learning. Im a total noob. My cornering is weak so im pokey around curves but sometimes i feel like that will always keep me safer because i take corners slower because of that. lol Very glad u liked the cuttlerang footage. I had 2 use it just because of the sound (:

  • LOL "Noobercycle". I like! I Like!

  • haha Glad you got a laugh or two outta this more serious vlog. Always makes me happy when i can give someone a laugh. :D

  • And it is better to wait until you have a couple months of sustained riding experience to even begin to ponder the thought of mashing a camera in your helmet.

So after re-stating all that you have already stated in the video, I say great video sir :D

  • Well I guess this video went over better then we had hoped ... everyone agrees with what you stated good-sir. That's not to say that they wouldn't, its just that it is sometime hard for people to look at a situation and realize the dangers associated with it ... in this case a noob rider (which I consider myself more of a noob then you :P) putting a camera in his/her helmet and riding around ... like you said, there are countless things that could go bad.

  • Holy vanmassive comment batman! =O lol Just kidding. (:

In all seriousness, i truely appreciate this comment a lot man! Youre awesome and, altho u may have less riding experience than me, your comment alone shows how wise and careful you actually are sir. Besides, ive seen u ride and you ride very well. I would NEVER have let u ride my 600 otherwise! Not by a long shot!!

  • Insightful.

  • You're a man of many words Jim. ;P lol Kidding, just kidding sir. (: Thanks for the comment.

  • Very true, I've been riding for 8 years and I'm not about to shove a camera in my face and ride.

  • Great idea for a vid. Thanks so much for posting this. Even tho I am an example of everything this video says not to do.lol

  • I think if you saw the vid that got me to make this video youd see that you are different.

  • Ah, this conversation has happened between us many time before. Great video man.

  • yes it has sir (: and i finally did the vid because i found someone who truely scared me.

  • yeah im gonna start vlogging BOOM! XD very funny.

  • Thanks. Im glad i got a little funny into a serious vlog (:

  • Nice vlog man. People definitely need to realize how much more concentration is involved in riding a motorcycle. I don't own a motorcycle due to not having a job, and being fairly young, but i go trail riding on dirtbikes and stuff a lot. I do pretty dang well too. Well, the other day, i went down on my friggin bicycle going only 15 mph! I was distracted by a car, and didn't see a very small (6x6in.) patch of ice. Shit happens and some beginner definitely doesn't need a camera distracting them.

  • Ya you never know whats in the road either. Most riders go down in places they ride every day but theres that one day where theres some gravel where there usually isnt and ur overconfident because you ride thro there all the time and BOOM. Spending a good month of riding will make a new rider familiar with the bike and a little used to how cars are towards them and thats not a lotta time to wait to vlog i dont think. Thanks for commenting :D

  • Great message. Putting this in my fave collection to spread the word! :)

  • Thanks 808 :D

  • i tried to say something to some vloggers about some obvious mistakes...and i always got response like you said ''i ride for 3 weeks straight i'm real good at it now'' so i give up 'coz i don't want to offend 'em...but they don't see it like that

  • I was a little worried about posting this vid for the same reason. People dont want to hear advice thats not only for their own good but they also dont want to hear it if it makes them slow down on something theyre excited about doing. So i debated doing this vid for a while but then i saw this latest guy making some scarey mistakes just recently and i just really felt like i had to say something before someone got hurt. Nobody may listen but at least i tried. Im glad 2 hear you try too. (:

  • At myself? It was thrown from australia. It did. What? It was. ;P

  • haha every once in a while i do a serious vlog altho there were def times i got unserious during this vid too i guess. (:

  • its not a boomerang....its a stick.....its only a boomerang if it comes back

  • It was on its way back to australia but my head got in its way i think (;

  • I cannot agree more with this vid WC. I was all excited to start vlogging when i got my bike last august, but quickly decided to put it off until later. For me now, its just fun to watch other vloggers' vids and relate to them. Keep ur vids coming man!

  • Glad to hear youre being careful. I wish more people would be at least a bit more careful and i dont see a month as being a long time to have to wait for vlogging. Thanks for commenting :D

  • This video has inspired me to start vlogging on my starting bike, a Kawasaki ZX-9 this week after I buy it. Thank you for the motivation Chairs.

lol No, Just kidding, I know I just tripped you out.

Thank you for the vlog, very insightful, and very necessary, I'm not even a vlogger, and I haven't started riding, and I believe you are very right, in what you say. Thank you, and come to AZ soon :D

  • haha thanks Goloth. You should bug zmagic or rebel about me coming to visit ;D because maybe that'll get one of them to invite me down lol

  • I've been riding for 3 months and I don't want to start vlogging yet. I really want to strap a ContourHD to my helmet, but that mainly so I can record some great views we have around here.

I totally agree with you about trying to talk about a topic while trying to focus on riding.

  • Thanks Sneetch im really glad to hear all the posative feedback on this. I really thought it wouldnt go over well as a vlog because people dont usually like to hear anything thats asks them to slow down and learn a bit before jumping right in. (:

  • Its very hard to fault common-sense

  • very very true thank you woodenchairs!

  • Thanx man. Very glad you agreed. (:

    Thanks for commenting.

  • actually just said this to a new online friend the other day

  • boomerang scene made me laugh out loud! classic man :P

  • lol I know, i saw your comment on their page after vanfly told me you said it on the phone. I had talked to him about doing this vid a long time ago and then again a couple weeks back when i actually shot it so he told me about your comment when he saw it. (:

  • good stuff dude, its sooo true tho about it all, im going to do the same thing, practice first then when you now you can do it, then go for it,

  • Im glad to hear that. I think you never stop learning but a good month of riding will at least get the newness of the whole riding thing a little less...new lol and youll be better able to do other things at the same time like vlogging.

  • boxed in? pft, just means youre now box fresh :D..not sure what that actually means though..but yeh i agree with what youve said about taking time out (more than a week) to learn the bike. personally i still feel nooby sometimes and its been like a year now :D, although shaking my head at cagers driving badly does give a sense of self confidence in my "biketry skillz"..oddly. this is a long comment!, but essentially we should remember that we are bikers with cameras, not cameramen with bikes.

  • I guess since u just made a bad joke it makes us fair and SQUARE ;P (square = box)

As i said in the vid; i feel like a noob still too and ive ridden a lot in my 2 yrs. I think the moment you think youve got nothing more to learn is when youre gonna crash (:

  • crash bad enough and you might end up in another kinda box O.o..wait a second, on reflection those boxes at the start are now kinda forboding and scary..

  • I completely agree! Though I have been riding for about a year, didn't start motovlogging about 9mo after i started riding, its not as easy as some people that never rode a bike thinks. It takes awhile to get used to.

    Great vid. like always man.

  • Absolutely Twig and im glad you agree. Riding is a lot more difficult than people think and so is vlogging. If this vid even makes one person take some extra time to learn a little and get used to riding before they worry about vlogging then it was def worth posting. (: Thanks for commenting.

  • good vid, agree

  • Thanks for commenting. Very glad to see all the posative responses. (:

  • oh yeah and btw i look foward to waking everyday hoping u post a video cause every single one makes my day dude ur hilarious and right on alot of aspects!!!!

  • Thanks man. I appreciate it :D

  • lol im boxed in lame BUT FUNNY

    LOL KEPT IT UP

  • I always love bad puns and i used to do one in most of my vids but i had stopped for a while, mainly because of the trips i took, but i missed them so ive been throwing them in again lately (:

  • your right man. ive been riding for 3 years and didnt start vlogging for at least a year in when i accualy got my first bike of my oun and msf....."O! BY THE WAY!... i lost a boomerang a month ago , have you seen it?!!"

  • haha nope, havent seen it. The boomerang that hit me was thrown by 8cuttlefish8. You can see his throw if you go to his page and check out his vid and my response vid to it. (:

  • I haven't road a street bike but I have drove regular 2 wheel motorcycles. (MX & Trail) for 10 years. Currently 15. Would I be good? I mean I have drove cross country like 2 times so I know how people drive.

  • of road and on road mate r to completly different things but ud probly be better then most novice road racers :P

  • I agree with Tregys. Totally different on the street. Bikes MUCH heavier, people are trying to kill you (and thats no joke. Even in MSF they tell you that), and even with the smallest street bike you're talking about a lot more power under you. Thats a LOT to get used to and, besides, is a month really a long time to ride around and learn before vlogging?

  • Good Post!

I've posted a near miss which happen a couple of weeks ago as a video response (hope you accept it). I think it shows rather well how important paying attention to the environment (not a camera) is.

    ESPECIALLY FOR UNEXPERIENCED RIDERS.

  • Thanks man. Ill take a look at it after i eat dinner. Just answering real quick before i roll outta here to eat.
