I got the taste of this music early 80`s but now in the internet time I`ve learned to love the guys.
Sorry for missing Jackson. A greate drumplayer! Keep on goeing! You are the original rockplayers as meny others but everybody get age. Specially I love H
High way song, because I was so young when it gome out and I got so dam good kicks of it! Thank you!
I was fortunate enough to see Blackfoot on tour with a then, very young, Def Leppard, at Hare Arena in Dayton, Ohio in 1981. It was the entire original Blackfoot line-up. And it's still one of the best concert's I've ever seen. That said, make no mistake about it. Rickey Medlocke is Blackfoot. As much as I dearly love the original line-up, RIP-Jackson Spires, you could surround Rickey Medlocke with any musician's that you wanted to. And it's still gonna sound like Blackfoot. IMO.
@Tlmsone Yes. And they reunited along with Charlie Harnett for a show at The Palms in Las Vegas on March 22, 2004. I would have loved to have seen that.
@sgtgiggles From 1992 to 1996 Blackfoot was Rickey Medlocke lead guitar and vocals, Mark Woerpel on guitar.and vocals, Tim Stunson on base and Benny Rappa on drums.
@sgtgiggles The classic lineup of Blackfoot disbanded in the mid-1980's(Rickey, Charlie, Greg and Jakson)....Rickey continued o under the Blackfoot banner with different lineups until Gary Rossington invited him to join the LS tribute band in, what, 1996?
@thunderdrumass Are you talking Thunderfoot Jackson? I saw BF in 1979 and JS was incredible! The whole band was! To this day, their music is on my Ipod. I gettin' old! But that's all I want to listen to.
I saw Blackfoot in 1982 at Hare Arena in Dayton,Oh. They truely rocked. Opened for Def Leppard and blew them away. I think "Strikes" is their best album.
Must correct myself. Got the Vertical Smiles LP now... oh my god, what a disappointment. Listened to some parts of some songs on side one, then put the LP away.
No Reservations, Flyin High, Strikes, Tomcattin and Marauder are great albums.
