@KakashiKyle9 I hear ya, I've been around since launch too. Listen it's easy, you can simply go to the trainer and train the Charger mount. The quest is still available however, IF YOU CHOOSE TO COMPLETE IT. :-)
nice video. have some of you people looked at the wow cheats pack on warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its fantastic, i recently down loaded it. it's got completely every thing inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the new arena glitch. i probably shouldnt reveal to folks about this but at least it gives you all a fair chance to obtain it before i own all of you!
@xilixang999 i had the same luck in ZG when my friend dragged me there cos he wanted the tigermount, it dropped, he failrolled, i got it on my first try, 2 others from my guild had it and they thought i had achi faker or something, so 4-5 invited me to a party cos they dident belive me, a friend of mine had been farming it for 8 moths before he got the tiger >_< but hes got 108 mounts or something so ..yeah:P

Keep in mind that this was 2 years ago, so the addons I used to use may not be relevant to the current version of World of Warcraft. The crypt things are somewhat of a gear check depending on your level. The only thing you can do to counter them is to be strong enough to react to their ability to silence. Try to encounter them one on one without accidentally pulling more mobs. No matter what level you are, prepare to get silenced, the only difference is the higher your level generally comes more HP, better gear, less often they hit with spells and effects, and over all more survivability. do you remember what your talent tree was at the time of this video, as well as your armor/weapons? I've tried multiple times to solo and I just can't do it. I can't get past rammy. 66 pally.. -_-
I got the mount, took me a whopping 72 runs to get it, being level 80 warrior tank in t8.5 gear just wrecks the place, don't give up until you get the mount because it really is worth it, especially the reaction u get from your guild. Sucks that I don't play the game anymore, good times though
There is not heroic mode for old world instances. Keep in mind the mount drops in the old world instance, originally designed for level 60 players. The mount drop is a simple drop rate from Baron Rivendare, nothing special required but being lucky :) Good luck!
This was just my personal quest :) The Baron's Steed is like any other item that has a drop rate, no quest required. In fact you can even be a low level and be untrained in riding and still have it drop... you just can't actually use it until you have riding training.
You need the "Key to the City" dropped by a mini-boss named Magistrate Barthilas on the undead side. Just kill him and loot the key, it drops every time, next time you enter Stratholme you can use the service entrance (back gate).
On the undead side you have to kill the three mini-bosses guarding the ziggurats and the guardians inside. If you watch my video, they're the first three i mention. My video shows cuts of everything you need to do to reach and kill the Baron Rivendare.

Looting the crates has nothing to do with opening the gates to the Slaughter House. In over 4 years of playing WoW I've always had to kill the three mini-bosses on the undead side and all of their guardians inside releasing the crystals powering the ziggurats. Only then will Baron Rivendare say that the Slaughter House is now vulnerable thus opening it's gates.
Take some video and show me the gate closed, loot some crates, and show me it open on a official server.
go do it. I just did a run in 3 minutes. Ive played this game since it came out, I thought it was that way too, but I just noticed that the gates despawned when i did this. It will just speed your runs up.

yes you do. killing all of the abominations triggers other events, you'll see :) over time you'll learn the order they would normally come in, but you can probably take on 4 at once starting from the right and work your way on to the left.
the only thing I hate is it's so annoying to go to dalaran and see people riding the mount when they got it in like 10 runs. They should've made the droprate at least 5% since who really does strat anymore except to farm:s
Man this mount is really ticking me off. A level 70 prot pally shouldn't have a huge issue with the Baron, just be careful not to under estimate him, he is still a powerful boss for anyone under lvl 75 or so.
One cannot simply go straight to the Baron, if you try you'll quickly find that the gate to the slaughter house is down and locked. To open this gate, you must kill the three ziggurat bosses (Barones Anastari, Nerub'enkan, and Maleki the Pallid). You must kill these three mini-bosses AND their keepers inside the ziggurat.
As a level 70 / 71 you can skip most mobs leading to these mini-bosses if you have patience and timing. Your major issue will be the fact you'll get silenced quite a bit. A typical Baron run for you should be around 25-35 min.
I've farmed his mount for well good amount of months.
Then i finally got it after maybe the 6th month.
I have to be honest, it was an annoying journey, But holy damn did i make a lot of gold.
I brought some friends along to heal me so i can grab big groups of people, i had them pass on everything they didn't need, and i DE'd it. I used all the rune cloth to get exalted with 3 races.
I can say, I made a good 10,000G or so from all those runs.
Im up to about 250+ runs on this bastard and still no mount! Hopefully someday he will be nice and quit hating me for all these kills. Not much to ask for ^_^
I got this mount today! In fact, like 30 minutes ago! I only ran Strat 12 times and BOOM! I got it! I thought I was going to have to run more than 100 times to get that mount! XD

Yeah dude. I got a new mount right away when WotLK came out on my death knight. I am working on this mount right now. But I am going for 50 mounts for the albino drake. if u do it 100 times theres a 100% u will get it but ppl have been really lucky and got it in there 10-20th run i hope i get mine as im doing my 18th the now
Logic says there will never be a 100% chance its going to drop. People have ran it 200+ times and never seen it. Even after 100 runs theres only a 63.4% chance you will have seen it. To be 99.9% sure, you need to do about 700 kills.
But every time you walk into that instance it's going to have a 1% chance to drop. You could go your whole life without it dropping.
Yeah you're right. Although it is more common than it was now and there is still a good chance that you will find it. I've only ran about 8 times. I'll run it every once in a while. But on my server there are more deathchargers since the chance of it dropping was up.
this video was edited using final cut express. YouTube seemed to have changed their format to widescreen, but I'm not certain why this video is not filling in. My newer video (in the video response) does seem to conform to the new site standards.
When it dropped for me the drop rate was 1/1000. Only back in the day was the drop rate 1/5000, and just before WotLK came out it was changed to 1/100.
Thanks for putting it up there i watched this vid before i bought the game and i actually was shaky on what the UI and things looked like and it clarified it for me.

sure you can! since you can't sneak by what a lvl 80 can you'll have to be more careful and pull a bit more but it should be just fine.
remember this video was shot when my paladin was lvl 70 in pvp epics and the drop rate was bout 1:1000.

I do this every day like twice and I still haven't gotten the mount. I've gotten it to where I can get to Baron on my DK in about 5 minutes.

I've farmed his mount for well good amount of months.
Then i finally got it after maybe the 6th month.
I have to be honest, it was an annoying journey, But holy damn did i make a lot of gold.
I brought some friends along to heal me so i can grab big groups of people, i had them pass on everything they didn't need, and i DE'd it. I used all the rune cloth to get exalted with 3 races.
I can say, I made a good 10,000G or so from all those runs.

Im up to about 250+ runs on this bastard and still no mount! Hopefully someday he will be nice and quit hating me for all these kills. Not much to ask for ^_^

I got this mount today! In fact, like 30 minutes ago! I only ran Strat 12 times and BOOM! I got it! I thought I was going to have to run more than 100 times to get that mount! XD
Got it on my 75 Death Knight too! Now I wont look like every other Death Knight out there lol.

Yeah dude. I got a new mount right away when WotLK came out on my death knight. I am working on this mount right now. But I am going for 50 mounts for the albino drake. I had to get a WotLK mount on all my characters but now everyone has them. So I am going back to my old mounts. I'm bringin' it back. Hehe

if u do it 100 times theres a 100% u will get it but ppl have been really lucky and got it in there 10-20th run i hope i get mine as im doing my 18th the now

Logic says there will never be a 100% chance its going to drop. People have ran it 200+ times and never seen it. Even after 100 runs theres only a 63.4% chance you will have seen it. To be 99.9% sure, you need to do about 700 kills.
But every time you walk into that instance it's going to have a 1% chance to drop. You could go your whole life without it dropping.

Yeah you're right. Although it is more common than it was now and there is still a good chance that you will find it. I've only ran about 8 times. I'll run it every once in a while. But on my server there are more deathchargers since the chance of it dropping was up.

this video was edited using final cut express. YouTube seemed to have changed their format to widescreen, but I'm not certain why this video is not filling in. My newer video (in the video response) does seem to conform to the new site standards.

i got mine post patch and i honestly feel like i dont deserve it.

When it dropped for me the drop rate was 1/1000. Only back in the day was the drop rate 1/5000, and just before WotLK came out it was changed to 1/100.

Just got my Deasthcharger, took about 25 trips through at level 80, so took abit 15 mins for a run through (dwarf hunter)
Nearly fell off my chair when I looted and saw it, and because its a ''feat of strength'' achioevement my whole guild went mad when i got it :)

It's not secret, it's the 'service entrance'. You'll need the 'key to the city' from Magistrate Barthilas to get in through this gate.

at the time of the video, he was holy / ret (shockadin). now days after 3.0.2 i'm full holy and do runs quicker with less downtime.
