  • EXRAORDINARY SKILLS !!! FLAWLESS VICTORY !!!

  • I would LOVE to be able to do that! Wow!

  • @RepublicanDumbAss Take basic rider training. On the second day of riding (about 5 hours into the riding course) you have to do tight U-turns in a small box with a 250cc bike. It's really daunting at first. The instructor told me to not only shift my weight but almost stand on the opposing peg and work the throttle, keep enough speed... and wow, by exam time my turns were lock to lock. They said the principal is the same for any motorbike and you just need to practice practice practice.

  • lame

  • Bloody awesome skills mate!

  • @5Mary6: How long did it take you (or any officer) to be able to make those tight keyhole turns from your very first attempt?

And (approximately) how many times did you have to lay the bike down over the course of your entire training until you got to this point?

This is truly impressive and although much skill is required I believe that a lot of this is mental as well.

  • @340PD Usually, if we train them in motor school, they need to be making them within 4 days..Now that is just to make the turns, the speed and acceleration and the ability to move the bike and get on it, comes much later. However, we pride ourselves in getting our guys to enter compeitions right away, to get their skills up and manage the nerves while competiting. Just takes practice like anything else

  • @5MARY6 I believe that if you cannot ride a bike as demonstrated here: you really cannot ride. I wonder if Valentino Rossi can ride an R1200RT like this. He probably does not care to ride like this.

As a retired officer who never rode motors (and now after retirement is finally learning) my goal is to get my head around this slow ride. It is not only looking where you want to go: you must trust the fact that cranking the handle bar to almost full lock will not dump the bike. Sure!

    Dan

  • @340PD I do agree with you to a degree. Everyone should push to ride better. Head and eyes, clutch and throttle my man, head and eyes, clutch and throttle. Just today, my brother asked and I went over and helped him with the basics on riding. he just got himself a BMW. He did really good. I help a lot of folks to ride and show them things. Hope you get good instruction and before any bad habits form..LOL Let me know if you have questions..Search "5mary6" if you want to see more videos!

  • I am impressed. Great skills!

  • Those BMW's have much higer centers of gravity than any Harley. That guy rocks on the beemer!

  • The big difference between that R bike and any cruiser is the center of gravity. This guy is very good - those bikes have a center of gravity much higher than any cruiser, including any hardly drivensome.

  • he has incredible skill to be moving that big old bus like that!

  • Wow. He's da man!

  • one word:

    WOW

  • Respect

  • yeah the R1200 suits this course and has a really skillful rider on it, anybody can do a wheelie with a bit of practice but this is on another level remember how heavy these bikes are, currently riding an R1100RT and know how heavy these buggers are in simple traffic maneuvering, so to do it on this course as fast as possible is incredible

  • Awsome riding skills - to think slag out there think they are better with no trianing other than in a car park with their mates...wheelies are one thing, but this skill is on a different level altogether.

  • muito bom vídeo. esses caras pilotam muito. parabéns!!!

  • the police dept .should have class for sports bike riders 2. so they dont kill their self.

  • That clip says as much for the BMW motorcycle as it does for th skill of the officer. I'd like to see someone do that on a Harley, they wouldn't make the first turn.

  • Funny, the Harley's go through the same course. There is not 2 courses for the different bike types, so YES, the Harley can make the first turn too

  • Government should let the Military take over police duty's for a while we could have so much fun with those i hate the police types

  • Fuck the police!!!

  • Police protect people, saves lives. A police man just this week pulled a woman from a burning house. Police are in the line of fire to get bad people that would KILL you if given the chance.

A few bad Cops? Sure, but most have your interest and life in mind; many are pillars of society, do other community service and charity. They are like sheep dogs, protecting the flock, God bless.

  • @gmcjetpilot god will never bless those ho kill on the name of man law.

god has his law and no killing is allowed.

like sheep dogs protecting the law of man

  • @maximoc

Go away troll, you don't know Jesus, never read nor understood God's Holy Word. You spew powerful stupidity. What you wrote is nonsensical gibberish. There are LAWS! There's a legal system, judicial and enforcement. God was clear, follow the laws of the land, give unto Caesar what is his and give to God what's God's.

Killing is always wrong unless your life is in danger. Police must follow the same laws; some don't and these police are subject to same punishment. Jesus will judge all.

  • @gmcjetpilot . BLIND SHEEP DEAF SHEEP the know it all sheep, give unto the caesar sheep.

  • @maxim-cretin

Sheep about what? WTF are you talking about clueless moron. That doesn't even make sense boy. I hope police beat you into a permanent comma, when you open your powerfully stupid smart ass punk mouth. LOL! 2006 police killed ~200 people, bad guys. In U.S., 2005, 156 police officers died in the line of duty. USA, 2005-2006 there were ~10,000 homicides. Police aren't killing for no reason. If they or you breaks the law, suffer the consequences. Switching to ignore troll. Beat it!

  • @gmcjetpilot i understand your need to insult me and put words in my mouth , the RESPECT you guys have for the Constitution cleary shows by the way you treat others that have a different point of view.

  • @maximocremoso

You call Americans sheep, then whine like a coward when I call you on it. You're a communist!

You live in socialist Venezuela, with a corrupt government, rising poverty, crime and dictator Hugo Chavez who makes opponents disappear, silent forever! SHEEP? If it wasn't for oil, Venezuela produces almost NOTHING, just like Arab Muslims of the middle east, both anti-American crap holes. AMERICA has BILL OF RIGHTS! You have no rights! AMERICA DOES WORLD WIDE CHARITY 2nd to NONE!

  • @gmcjetpilot i called any man ho kill for the law of man sheep. the same men you probably kill for, is the same men ho makes you think everyone is against you. p a r a n o i a.

no mister im not a communist or antiamerican.

i love the US and his good people as much as i love good people anywhere.

Im not chavista but i have respect for alot of his ideas becosue they help people in need.

  • @maximidiot

Blind sheep? You call the USA Constitution blind or deaf? You call the rule of LAW only for sheep? Well it is the government's main responsibility to coordinate national defense, making treaties and trade agreements AND to ensure the rule of law, is preserved, protected and defended through out the chain of subsidiarity down to the individual, as defined by the Constitution. You're an imbecile. Our laws go back to the Jethrine system (representitive democracy) in scripture. Amen!

  • @geeflyboy i understand your need to insult me and put words in my mouth , the RESPECT you guys have for the Constitution cleary shows by the way you treat others that have a different point of view.

  • Policeman at motorcycle in t-shirt?

  • where are the gloves and riding jacket for protection of your arm and elbow? Is that a R1150RT or R1200RT? Nice riding. I am getting a R1200RT and it is nice to know it can handle like that. Not sure I will push it that far.

  • gmcjetpilot,

    (a) we don't always wear gloves and/or jacket, and

    (b) it's the R1200 police model.

  • Thanks, a R1200, Good. I was undecided with getting a R1150RT or R1200RT. I like the looks of the 1150 but the 1200 is a little acquired taste. However people tell me the 1200 is reall a better bike. I can't afford new but a nice low miles used R1200 is in the $10-12K range. A R1150 a few grand less. I think I'll focus just on the R1200. It is significantly lighter and SURE CAN HANDLE! Thanks for the info. (personally I'd never ride with out gloves/jacket)

  • Brilliant riding, a credit to your profession.

  • thats beautiful throwing a big bike like that around... I nrver wanna get chased by that guy

  • Cool very cool I like.

  • yes you do it with a good speed...

    a nice Motobike from German

  • wonderfull!!

  • Beamers are sweet, Polizi used em long ago, just like Mercedes auto's they were taxi's o-sea's, whats the big deal in America, we at least hv 50's cars! but ya gotta admit the Hawgs look best has Cop bikes! miss seeing the cool servi-cars Chitown Officers rode, even in winter!

  • i love usa

  • Damn that is ridiculous. Im sure he has no problems getting out on his 1k and draggin some knees on the weekend

  • I don't think my Harley can turn that tight. I might have to look into this Beamer. Very well done! I want to set up a course like this in the parking lot I use to practice in. A drill team has already marked off a snowman, an iron cross and some other things but how do I make a course like this? If you look at my videos you'll see I'm decent but I'd love to be better. Thanks for all that you do.

  • Why do you need a ll that gear on???BTW, we are now wearing modular helemets....because they look cool!!!!

  • What I still don't get is the out dated horse riding gear (boots and stretch pants), no proper jacket and open faced helmets...Common guys, it's 2009!!! The job has enough risks, why raise the bar?

  • only rear brake i think... hit the front there and is crash

  • great

  • i have never seen a bikercop chasing a sport bike

  • That is fantastic. It's refreshing to see positive accomplishments on motorcycles. RT's are quite amazing.

  • We actually do about 9-10 a year. Competitions may have a connection to pursuits in that there is a level of confidence and you know where the envelope is. In competitions, we do not need to think of a lot of the basics because it becomes muscle memory. Competitions are more about team building.

  • How often do they hold that police motorcycle competition and also, does it help increase an officer experience in maneuvering the motorcycle in pursuit or in non pursuit mode? I know it sounds like a silly question but I am very curious.

  • Wow - that is staggeringly good bike control.

  • Brilliant!

  • BRAVO !!!

  • Skills!!!

  • You think that's bad...how about the bicycle cops who shave their legs and peddle around like fairies--now that's gay!

  • Kawasakis were King...for 30 years!

  • Great Job, Cool bike, I like it a lot more than the Harleys the use here in Florida!

  • i hate autocross...it seems so confusing

  • they should have a competition at thunderhill

  • nice video, im bored again

  • shiet, i dont want to see that on my rearview mirrors, hahahaa AWESOME!!

  • damn thats some skill

  • Very cool. This guy is good!

Being able to safely and effectively maneuver a bike at slow speeds is something most riders never master.

  • I was there! He helped me up on his bike and everything! Going back to watch the competition this year!

  • when is it?? and where?

  • Don't try to dip from this cop.

  • Now THATS riding ability! Wow! Well done!

  • I can only ride like that after a few beers. Need the confidence.

  • Boníssim el tio. A veure qui se li escapa.

    MOOLT BO.

    Salutacions des de Catalunya.

  • Excellent riding. I'm impressed.

  • Now, THAT's a biker.

  • this is why i dont run from police jk 1 of the many reasons but he is awsome

  • Skills beyond belief, I couldn't even get close to that on my bike which is at least half the size and weight!

  • Very Nice! Rancho Cordova. Thats where I Live! I will remember never to try to out run you on my Bike with them maneuvers! Just kidding. Nice rideing! Go KINGS!

  • Yeah Vences..then how come all you squids keep slowin me and my R12 down in the twisties..lol. Your R1 is a great bike, but unless you know how to ride its only gonna be fast in a straight line.

I don't like cops either, but if they really are stopping you for *no* reason then file a complaint against them. Document what is happening..get witnesses and proof and fight back. Don't just sit there and bitch about it.

That guy in the vid has a pretty good idea how to handle his bike.

  • slow-rider-freak. very nice

  • Such a command on the english language. I think they stop you to gain some extraordinary tips on how to eloquently speak the Queen's English.

  • Hilarious to read this post...and you wonder why I get pulled over.

  • Is it hard...Yes. But it's not alot of throttle opening and closing, it's alot of slipping the clutch.

  • Wow. you wouldn't be able to lose THIS guy in the twisties as I have done in the past.

  • There is no way you can out run this guy in the mall parking lot :-))

  • The man has skills, undeniable skills...

  • its very very difficult to open/close the throttle of such a big motorbike in such a small area.

  • It's your tax dollars. Do you approve? I'd rather use my own tax money on my own partying.

  • Great bike!!! Comfortable and agile as no one..

  • TI si hrvat znam te, zeleni skuter...

Mislim da nisi nimalo upravu jer stunt po meni nije voznja motora nego zajebancija s motorom a ovaj policajac stvarno vozi ovaj motor predobro.

  • Learn to spell

  • mmmmmmm...douNATS....DOH!

  • I don't dought that one bit.

From 30 yrs of cycle shops with my own monster garage, I've had gal's have me inspect theirs after it was in a pile of parts put back together better than most guys.

  • Damn...there hella good riders, most all motorcycle cops ride off-duty too...

  • It's what should be the standard road test.

That would keep the wanna bees off the street.

On the actual bike they own, not some scooter they borrowed.

  • not a bad idea. I know i would have to get some practice in to complete that course. I can ride but that was impressive slow control of a rather large bike.

  • Wow! I wonder how anyone is going to be able to practice enough to be able to pass "your" idea of a standard road test? I guess we all simply break the law until were ready eh?

  • Who says that the RT 1200 is not flickable, heh?
