Battle system is quite akin to the final boss of KH2 (At least I think that's the last offering on PS2 from the KH franchise.. So far.)

Really though, these videos don't do it justice - do yourselves a favour, register on the US playstation store and try the demo. Fights can be really intense when you get the (proper) hang of it.

not really i mean the 2 buttons you use are Square and Circle. Circle takes their brave points which is how much damage you will do when you do a HP(square) attack

there are ffx aeons because you can choose any summon to use for any character. or you can choose the old summons with any character as well

SeeD is a group of mercenary where Squall works,SeeDs from FF8 is like saying SOLDIER from FF7,but i prefer the SeeDs bcause they are stronger even if they arent main characters XD. but the SeeD uniforms is kinda...oh well.

SeeDs are very strong fighters. SOLDIER are gen manipulated people.

The SeeDs are the strongest force skilled with their own weapon capable to use powers and command GFs(Summons)and their porporse is to destroy powerfull sorcerers that brings chaos to the world

as for SOLDIERS They are just mere soldiers with a rifle or a sword the ONLY Gen Manipulated super elite people are Genesis,Sephiroth,and Angeal,and that is thanks to experiments only. And the only strong by skills is Zack.

SOLDIERs are like any soldier in Galbadia of VIII.

Err...no?They are all gen manipulated. They have all maco injections to be incredibly strong and they have all magical power, can jump like a dragon ball character, et cetera. You never see how strong a SeeD is except Squall and his "gang". Only the battle with Galbadia when the fight with swords et cetera. At that looks nothing like the unit whi should be stronger than SOLDIER in your opinion.

what Cetra29 stated is true all soldiers are Mako injected soldiers so think of it as steroid buffs that enhance u by all aspects but the weak minded have some side effects. Genesis Angeal and Sephy are genetically created thats the only think that makes them different also Zack was injexted with Mako aswell he had good confidence/mentality so he was skilled hell Cloud has the physicaly capabilty to be on par no better then zack but not the mentality

im surprised at how good the AI is..It took me alot of tries to kill Jecht with Cloud.But then I noticed each character has a unique way of attacking for example Cloud is better at fighting on the ground.....love dis game!

Idk you but i see Cloud more balanced in both air and ground.the one who really NEEDS to be in the ground is Squall bcause his aerial sucks at low levels.he has only one attack in both HP and Brave attacks and the Brave attack is just 1 hit that is slow when you miss giving the enemy opening bcause you re very close to him... Cloud takes advantage of me and attacks in the air most of the time the bastard :(...

Thank that happens only in lower lvls after that he owns! :D

A lot of the characters are either good in the beggining or really bad in the beggining. Just keep leveling and they'll eventually balance out compared to the other characters.

different summons do different things. for example, Ifrit will x1.5 your BP. other summons can: copy opponents BP, reduce their BP to zero and etc
