There's a lot of info on how to create anchor but it is very hard to find anything on how to remove an anchor. Let's say somebody is induced and given a word-anchor such that every time the person sees that word then a particular state of mind and behavior is established. How do you remove the anchor so that such word has no effect anymore?
I'm working on anchoring success, money, pride, and confidence to my computer chair and monitor. I work from home and hate sitting at my computer, so I'm trying to reframe how I feel about sitting in front of my computer all day.
@SuperAlexrios What is an anchor and what is not. You seem to suffer from anchoring paranoia. Not every twitch is an anchor. Anchors have several parts. First is the elicitation. Then comes the anchor. Then the use f the anchor.
If you think ti is all an anchor then you are just a bit off track
@TomVizzini I m sorry i was just guessing i didnt mean to be rude Let me ask u something Once you stablish an anchor for how long would be effective? how often do i have to repeat the exercise Can i use the same anchor for diferent goals?
@TomVizzini Sorry one more question Can i stablish an anchor out of my body ? For instance Can i use places or objects ? I repeat your video a lot because everything in ir is crucial can you make a video with more details about the same issue?
@TomVizzini It's a common phenomenon in med-students, that they believe to have several diseases they just learned about. I believe that phenomenon also accounts here.
If you're able to make a tutorial about how to recognize when someone tries to manipulate you. f.e. tries to place an anchor, I bet there would be a high demand for that. People tend to be paranoid alot...
curious - lots of chin, touching hair grooming and washing of hands - is that part of the anchoring ? or was you not aware of that when making this clip ? next question follows your answer - thanks
if you watch steve g jones' youtube vid's on anchoring you can se him using 2 minutes to over amplifi the state. that a bit to much. ive seen tom anchor on video an it take a few seconds
I'm a beginner with NLP and want to know if you are intentionally using hand movements to communicate something to me. Are things like touching your face, running your hands through your hair and clearing your throat things that you are doing intentionally?
Is the assumption correct that since you study highly specific details of physiology, these are intentional communications?
I'm really not busting your chops, just want to know what's what.
Those are some awesome tips for anchoring!!! It's real easy to find people talking about NLP as if they where very smart; Most of then never even read a NLP book. But this guy makes all the time I spend searching the Web real worthy. This video, NOW, already became a CLASSIC leason.
The great part about really knowing how to anchor is that re-elicitation is so easy and conversational. You just can;t get caught. I tried and I still can't get a bad response.
Confidence comes from good training. You should think about coming down to Atlanta and training this April if you want to learn how easy and powerful it can be.

@SuperAlexrios I think you are making this harder than it is. There are 3 steps to anchoring. Elicit the state, set the anchor, USE the anchor.
When you do that the anchor lasts forever.
Using the anchor can be for many different things. I use most anchors to punctuate embedded commands and presuppositions.
Also ...Once you have an anchor you don't have to elicit it again.
Let me know if that makes sense.

Wouldn't eliciting values help you know what state to anchor?
jelqer 4 years ago
My experience is that values have little to do with anchoring. What you are looking for is a state that they fill in rather than a state you choose.
That is the art of the skill
