jarusito: It came out in the early 90's, right after the first film was released onto video, hence why the entire voice cast from the film is back for the series (though the series is a prequel and takes place before the film [just like The Little Mermaid III is supposed to do, but unlike the animated series which probably takes place probably just a few years before the film, TLM III takes place when Ariel was still a 12 year old mermaid learning the ropes]).

Holy cow, I think I remember watching this show as a kid. I even had a VHS tape with that whale at 0:43 on the cover.
