Final Cut Express is the low-end consumer version - I paid $99 for mine, but I think it's normally $199. Final Cut Studio, which I want, does much more and comes with more, but is like $1300.

This clip was done using Final Cut (Express). I recorded myself against a green screen, then bought the video in and cropped out the area around the green screen, and then applied chroma key to remove the background, and then adjusted it to be a black image and set the background to white.
I also use Apple's iMovie lately -- it supports many things these days like stabilization, green screen, overlays, etc. so it may be what I use for most projects moving forward.
