Not Sonic's fault that today's Sega overhyped his super form to the point where he looks so much like a Goku ripoff. All he was ever meant to do in Super Sonic was run faster and sparkle a little until he ran out of rings (or until you punch the emeralds out of his ballsack).

@stonersLunchbox Well as super hes just way more powerful and whatnot.Actually, hes supposed to be invincible, anything touches him kills it. I liked it better how sonic looked in SA1 and 2, where his hair went liked shadows, him looking like that and not the whole wavy hair thing makes it look less gokuish.

no, it would seem the super transformations made the characters shimmer in the opposite colour sonic = blue so he turns yellow, and shadow = black so he turns white when emerald powered, i found it slightly confusing in the later games because the only thing that tell them appart is shadows boots and his red colourings which remain the same although it could be understandable if it was a glitch, it either that, or they just didnt bother to fix it using an alternate colour pallet

@Shikadarth14 They called him hyper shadow because people saw that he was a different color than sonic in his super form. Which is a really dumb asummtion. Sonic and knuckles are the only characters that i know who have gone hyper. Without the super emeralds, you cant go hyper. Then thats why they changed super shadows color to sonics because of what people were saying of super shadow being called "hyper shadow"

No the game is not as bad as everyone says it is, it needed to be polished but was rushed out for the holiday season. Otherwise, it's a decent game. If you want to play a true DISASTER go play Sonic Labyrinth, that is BAR NONE the worst Sonic game ever made.

I heard something about the Super Emeralds in the next game, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Next Gen, you get to play as Super Sonic in the last level of Sonic's story without any hard accomplishments, but the real last level is if you complete every single story of every character, which has you turn the chaos emeralds into super emeralds and turn into Hyper Sonic.
