Stigmatas really do exist. My mom went to school with one. They got into a fight though because the girl was messing with this girl that my mom was friends with. The girl could not defend herself because she was not the fighting type.
I think it's funny that Gabriel Byrne played a priest in this movie and then plated the devil in End of Days. Pretty sweet when it comes to showing his range.

Whatever you think of the storyline, believe it or not....I can't think of another film like this. It was unique and haunted me for days after watching it. I also have a soft spot for Grabriel Byrne!! I love the sparing use of the colour of red for Arquette in the film.

Awesome movie.
It's take on Stigmata, as in, not only devotees to the church get this affliction made me smile.
Great performance from both the lead actors, and the soundtrack was really cool.

Stigmatas really do exist. My mom went to school with one. They got into a fight though because the girl was messing with this girl that my mom was friends with. The girl could not defend herself because she was not the fighting type.

I think it's funny that Gabriel Byrne played a priest in this movie and then plated the devil in End of Days. Pretty sweet when it comes to showing his range.

Since you mentioned kids...take a look at this video here to see what happened to this kid (LOL). niño predicador (Is about a 9 years old kid preaching. Poor kid, he got hard by the adults, but the most funny, in my opinion: "The video this guy did with this kid & Iron Maiden". Priceless.

Whatever you think of the storyline, believe it or not....I can't think of another film like this. It was unique and haunted me for days after watching it. I also have a soft spot for Grabriel Byrne!! I love the sparing use of the colour of red for Arquette in the film.

This movie really got me thinking 10 years ago. I remember the line, "Split a piece of wood and you will see me or I am there" I am confused though....I swear I saw this movie before I had my son in Oct. of 98.
