passive effect spells only increase duration, and not the strength of the effect

@nickster1318 thats level of the spell skill not your level. So if its a destruction spell you need 20 destruction, if restoration, 20 resto etc etc

@nickster1318 that means you dont have enough magicka to dual cast it. Need to level up a few times and dump into mana, or get the perks that reduce the mana cost of the spells in destruction tree.

I don't seem to get how this works with conjuration. When I dual cast a spell, bound sword in this case, I only get one sword instead of two swords. The perk says Conjuration spells will last longer if you dual cast them... but I only got half the effect (I lost a sword basically).

Cont. Though I can fully accept it being a flaw of my own as I suck at aiming with a mouse. The thing that urks me is the fact that spray spells aren't used later for those who want to get close and confrontational instead of burning your allies alive if they decide to move into your range of fire. Atleast that way you can buy a mage merc and have fun spraying together rather then on each other all the time with actual dps.

Cont. It's ridiculous I hope they patch this because I'm kind of getting bored of playing a warrior and want to play a creative thief hence for stealth/magic/dark elf but cant. Also I hate how the aim system kind of sucks as in spraying on dmg was allot more accurate when your target has AI marksmanship skills while you have a tiny indicator on where the spell will hit.

Hard mage battles, even when having arch mage set and some advanced destruction if the conjurer has cover-fire.

Doesnt work. I right clicked in the fav options but it never worked. I always have to go to menu, go to items, put on a onehanded weapon for my right then take it off again, and then put the spell on. One of Skyrim's many perks... that makes me wish I never bought it. It's very tedious and keeps reappearing when your trying to play a pure spell dmg mage. Interesting idea, but it wont even let me hotkey anymore. Doesnt even explain dual casting that thoroughly on the Help menu.

For some reason, dual casting seems to use more mana than double casting the same spell.

The PC version works like this for about 1 hour. then you are screwd and it thinks you do not even have dual cast. PC IS BUGGED. FIX IT.

I found that you have to make sure that you don't have any weapons in either of your hands other wise you cannot equip a spell

I can't even use two spells at the same time, with the same spell equipped I can only attack with one spell hand at a time, not together. I have the dual casting perk even though my problem is that I cant even combine spells. HELP ME!!!!

@SkullFilms yep spell with both hands and pressing both buttons at the same time. Now, you will only get the skill bonus if you have the skill in the perks, otherwise its just casting from both hands as opposed to dual casting.

And at favorites, if you press 1-2-..-8-9, the selected item will have shotcut. When you double-click one of them, it will equip that one to both hands. That's easiest way.

@gokcankrc67 if you're holding a sword and shield; go to favorites and click on flames, frostbite, etc. it should automatically switch out the shield for the magic. then go back to favorites again and deselect the sword, and then select the same spell in your left hand... this should work, it does for me, but I play console

@TaskeAskexD make sure that you dont have any LR melee weapons selected as well. i had the same problem until i un-equipped any two-handed weapons i had and then if you select any spells they should cycle between L, R and LR.

I just keep hitting E and the two mouse buttons in the magic menu... at some point you are able to use your other mouse button as well

Check the E3 video here starting at 9:00 - 9:15 for an example of the dual wield perk that allows the same spells to be combined into a more powerful version of the spell.

I haven't figured out how to do THIS sort of dual wielding yet.

@wiggs333 There are kinds of spells. Ones that effect enemies in front of you and others that are like a ball, have higher range but u only shoot one at a time.

Thanks for the vid, the PC control system is so hard to figure out. A little tip as well, when you have your spells set as favourites, open your favourite menu (Q) When you scroll over the spell you can hotkey it by pressing a number between 1-8. So you can switch through spells and gear without going to a menu and breaking immersion. Even better tho, if you have, say, Raise Zombie on 4 and you press it twice it seems to equip the spell to both hands for easier dual casting. Hope this helps.

@robbieraptor thx for the 1-8 hotkey tip! I was right and left clicking like mad and nothing worked until i assigned the hotkeys and fiddled with numbers. Dual casting fireball makes me feel like Ryu :D
