  • Ann's voice has a rare richness and her vocal abilities awesome. Nancy is absolutely incredible. Both were and still are DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!

  • God...what are all of us old f*cks supposed to do now, after living through this era? All we've got is youtube and the memories!

  • I would love to play guitar like her...... amazing! very talented women... One of a kind

  • Luke Skywalker playing lead guitar

  • just saw them Ann voice is so strong it cuts thru a rock band and nancy just plane rocked great show with Def Leopard

  • Thank god for the internet.

  • Obrigaga pelo vídeo.

    Lindo!!!

    Abraços.

  • Hauntingly beautiful song, saw them live in Atlanta in 1978

  • I've heard this band on the radio for decades but seeing them here for the first time brings me to a higher level of appreciation

  • What a beautiful angel......Ann Wilson!

  • Oh?? So you're saying that it's ok to Lie about & accuse these 2 sisters of doing a horrifiying act for the sake of art?You must work for mushroom records OR your parents must've been charles manson & susan atkins.Ann & Nancy Dont need scumbag perverts for inspiration. They get along just fine without ppl like them.U n d e r s t a n d ? or should I write it slower? A person like you would'nt get their point until a picture popped up in a mag w/you & your brother in the same pose.GET IT NOW?

  • @SmokinMo11 Hmm, you really are a crazy person. Unable to see the silver lining, eh? Have to attack a stranger? The Wilsons are the most beautiful and talented people who have ever lived. The ad made them stronger. Never did I imply that I approve of such base and libelous tactics as the Mushroom Records ad. They deserved to be shut down or worse.

  • The scumbags at mushroom records got off easy w/these 2 gals.If they posted an ad in rollingstone w/me & my sister like they did 2 ann & nance insinuateing that we were sleeping 2gether,I would be sitting in prison 4 murder.I woulda burned that shit-hole 2 the ground! They said ann & nance would 'put on a show 4 u' if u played their record.I remember that when I was 11 yrs old.Nice 4 them 2 say that when they knew kids read the rag.Freaked this little girl out.Thats how I learned about pervs.

  • @SmokinMo11 Without that despicable ad, the perfect song ("Barracuda") would never have been written. I suppose we should be glad that ad was about the Wilsons instead of you...

  • Musical geniuses. These sisters were born to be rock icons. Their determination and dedication developed their gifts to the fullest. They write the best songs and then perform them. Live they outdo themselves. In flowing dresses they are sexier than any chick that ever sang half-naked.

  • back in the day when you had to have bigtime talent to make it...unlike the bizarre world of today...

  • I was only 1 year old when this aired ... years later who knew I would get the chance to sing with them on stage. what an amazing thing to check off the bucket list XD

  • Wow

  • Ann Wilson circa 1976. Best face in the history of faces.

  • I have a 45 with Magic Man and Love Me Like Music on if from Mushroom Records and it is from 1976

  • Incredible. Just incredible. At 50 years-old, this kid will always keep coming. Every now and then I need to be reminded of my roots, and this did it. Do you know what a strat goes for at a pawn shop? Nothin. Its someone else's blood, sweat, tears, and dreams waiting to be resurrected by someone, anyone that comes along to blow life back into and through it. Its time again.

  • very few rock bands can go from what could be a Carpenters song to full-blown rock.

  • I've played this video over and over. I cannot stop looking at Ann. She is so memorizing.

    Beautiful, hot and sexy.

  • gotta love those cinderella dresses

  • Dude the misnight special has captured such precious musical treasures.

  • Love Heart!! Was fortunate enough to see them 4 times in concert, twice with all original members!! Great in concert!!!

  • The thing I have loved about Heart (With original members), they truly knew how to be a Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type of group. Meaning, when they played something soft, they were one type of group, and when they played those hard rockin' songs, they were another type of group. Never a dull moment with groups like that.

  • Saw them a few years ago in Va. Beach. Sat on front row right in front of Nancy. She is indeed an amazing guitar player and was still quite attractive. Ann is really huge but her voice was probably better and stronger than in the '70s. They have always put on a great show. (Saw them in '82 also.)

  • luke skywalker!

  • stop trying to categorise it its just great

  • What is that guitar she is playing?

  • The brand is Ovation, and it's likely the Adamas model. It's an acoustic guitar that can be plugged in.

  • I've been enamored with the Wilson sisters for over thirty years! I can not get enough of these two....Constantly, consistently over the top brilliant musicians. Luv ya ladies!!

  • Ann and Nancy are and will always be the best! Have loved Heart since I was 13 in 1976 and first heard Magic Man on WBRU.

    Sharon xo

  • I would love to live in 1976...just like you and my mother...

but i was born in 1994:( the only good thing in the 2000's is youtube! I hate the 2000's music and the 2000's fashion...

  • All the good music has already been made lol. Nancy Wilson is my favorite guitasist ever. Abd being born in 87 myself i missed the power days of good music. Nancy Still performs though thank goodness.

  • Hey i have a friend that actually sells THOUSANDS of these rare vintage older rock live concerts on dvd

send me an email and ill hook you up

  • 92 for me i dont have much i wish i had any of it 70s 80s 90s im ok with what we have now its just nothing really goods gonna be around me cept ac/dc and queensryche

  • One year before this performance this band was a bunch of nobodies.

This shows what raw talent can do.

They didn't have a multimillion dollar promation, just great songs.

Their label was a little company that never went anywhere.

So different than today. you can't get on the radio without a big company pushing you along.

  • dreamboat was my first album, still love Ann have done eversince

  • Well yeah it looks like we missed out on all the great rock-N-Roll and instead got all that pop B.S sung in our ears. I still don't know why I bought a M.J tape in I was in the second grade back in the late 80's.

  • This was pop in the 70s -- at least one sound from pop. But yes great stuff.

  • Pop? Sounds more on the blues side to me.

  • blues ?? listen to guitar, listen to the guitar, there is no blues man... thats pop/rock

  • I'm going by the voice man! And they rock a bit too hard to be pop. But what ever, we can agree that there will be no other female group like the Wilson sister.

  • oops sorry! I mean "listen to the guitar, listen to the voice" I was tired when i wrote it :P. and yeah we can agree, they are the sisters of rock n roll

  • My nipples got hard. I love you Ann!

  • I love Howard Leese on the electric organ on this song.

  • sending shivers down my spine again

  • why did i have to be born in 82

  • .....haha try 92....

  • thank you very much heart are pioneers noone will be close

  • I think I came a little bit =]

  • What an amazing combonation of songs =)

Ann and Nancy are my idols and my heroes. They are the reason I have an acoustic guitar and the reason I'm going to try out for a choir solo.

  • Nancy is the first true great female guitarist....Melissa Etheredge..eat your HEART out !!!!!

  • I Love watching Nancy pull up in her Corvette next to Judge Reinhold in Fast Times At Ridgemont High..laughing at him in his "Pirate" suit......

  • I remember in the late 70's Rolling Stone Mag published an article staing they were "Lesbians" DUH...sisters are more like it. Why do idiots have to rain on people's good fortune & talents????

  • I don't think they did--it had to do with an infamous ad that Mushroom Records ran of the girls implying something illicit between them. This led to Heart leaving the Mushroom label.

  • @tabistevens And led to Ann writing their biggest hit Barracuda!

  • @TiaGing What I remember about Heart is...my bro bought the album, and i played it more times than he did!

  • I saw these ladies in concert when i was a freshman in high school in 1979 i believe. Saw them again about a year ago on pbs and they have done nothing but increase thier musical abilities over the years. AWSOME!! And nobody can cover LedZeplin as they do!!

  • This performance for me is almost like a perfect capture of Ann and Nancy at their most young and raw. Nancy on that guitar is like...what other woman was doing that at the time, or before then? Really rocking out on a guitar like that. She must have blown people away. And Ann is another story ;)

    They are both my heroes.

  • Absolutely stunning performance! No gimmicks, no pitch correction, no lip synching, great costumes....

  • LOVE HEART !!!!!! Reminds me of visiting my cousins in San Francisco...taking off from Philly......heading out to somewhere..won't be back for a while......

  • Killer. I love Nancy's guitar. It's so cool.

  • Extremely lovely and talented women. They were then and still are now. I always empathized with Ann and her lifelong fight with weight as I have the exact same problem. It doesn't have anything to do with gender. She practically had to starve herself to look this way. What a voice, though, and what a beautiful woman! Nancy is equally as lovely and a wonderful guitarist. Until looking closer at these videos, I never realized she finger-picked. "The Midnight Special" was also a GREAT show!

  • It is always so refreshing to hear Ann belt out a song better LIVE than on the studio recording. I fell hard for these sisters when I saw the cover of Dreamboat Annie's LP jacket!

  • I love Heart!!! They are the f** bomb.

Wish I could meet them in person.

  • THEY ARE JUST GREAT!!!!!!!

  • The gals look and sound awesome. Too bad we can't stay young forever.

  • Yeah, I felt that way too. Looking at Ann's young face here, and her (pirate!) smile. She was just so beautiful. But the thing is with Ann and Nancy, is they are totally youthful in their hearts still. They still have that young quality about them. They seem to be like they ever were, really. Just look a bit older now ;)

  • Sweet Jesus!

  • Our small town radio station in N.B., Canada, played their stuff mercilessly back in the day.

Sound familiar? If I had only known how mm..mmm..Yah!, soulful, Ann was live, would have made that trip to the big city to see them. EofStory.

  • 3:51 enter Luke Skywalker on lead guitar... lol

i'm a 23 year old male and i recently fell in love with this band... amazing vocals, great composition of songs... plus, you don't see enough girls that rock this f'ing hard.

  • I just did too. I love Ann XD

  • Thanks for that 3:51 I needed to LOL

    it was cute

  • They is so Great. :)

  • Classic classic Heart. And they've still got it ever so together today. I am so excited that they are putting out a new album after the tour 08 tour.

It just kills me to see these two wearing DRESSES. So glad they grew out of that pretty quickly. I cant wait to see them Sep 13. <3

  • Great footage! Thanks for posting it. Grew up (not literally) with this band and still love them just as much as I ever did.

  • I'm in love with nancy...:3

    and I'll always be

    :D

  • Wow! She is amazing her voice her performance. You should hear her do Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin she f**** Rocks!

  • Man they nailed that one. At the end of Crazy on you Ann puts up her hands like a gymnast that completed the world's first triple back flip-flop and landed flat on her feet...which is what she and the band did here. Incredibly awesome performance.

  • Amen

  • There will never be another Ann Wilson...brings a tear to my eye..so thankful I was traveling through this life the same time as Ann or I would have missed her amazing talent and beauty!!!!

  • Please don't rub it in. XC

  • My lord was Howard Leese hot!!
