I think this song sounds better listening to it on 240 instead of 360 and turned up loud because it sounds more raw. This my all time favourite Siouxsie ATB song. I love loads of their early stuff but I always come back to this one. I think it's because of the way it suddenly goes into minor notes. I love the guitaring and drumming as well.
Bought this in 1979, first memory of being angry with the clueless hordes when it failed to reach the heights of the charts. What was No.1? Some shit like Blondie's Sunday Girl or The Bee Gees. Strange year 1979, flashes of brilliance amid a sea of disco crap.
@flaxonx3 That disco era was a tough one to get through. I remember it well and was quite thankful when it came ot an end. However, little did I know things would get worse with the arrival of reality tv and corporate made stars with very little talent. I wonder what Siouxsie thinks of all this ridiculous material.
I absolutely loved this song when I was a teen. It included everything I was looking for; originality, rebellion, musical talent and so much more. Today, I feel extremely disconnected with the music scene. It's quite scary to notice this song has around 10 000 hits while "It's Friday" by Rebecca Black has over 21 000 000 hits. Today's music represents a huge embarassment. It's as if people completely gave up and are now satisfied with incredibly mediocre material.
So agree with you. As you say so much originality and pure class. Be happy we were there to see such talented bands when music had an urgency rather than a ring tone.
fuckkk AWWWHHH I LOVE THIS VIDEO DANCEING SONGN SOUND FUCK JOHN MCKAY U ROCK KENNY U KIK IT SUPERB SIOUXSIE PERFECT VOX BUDGIE BRING THE MOODS AND RYTHMS ALONG
Inevitably with such an iconic singer, the contribution of Kenny Morris and John McKay gets overlooked. I still like the later stuff, but seriously can anyone say they were the same after Join Hands?
Is the drumming on Jigsaw Feeling not the best thing you ever heard?

Hearing this you really realise how desperately Toyah tried to copy her.
