  • that engine wont bog until you get basically around 800 or 900 rpms. I have a 6.0 and i cruise around at 1100 to 1200 at theres plenty of power even in 6th

  • you never should downshift to into first it fucks up the transmission

  • I learned how to drive stick by buying my 83 trans am, nd just driving it home. tough myself.

  • pretty much it depend's on what you have in your car. and waht you have done to your car. but bottom line you don't want to ride your clutch like he say's it what i was getting at for ya'll

  • not if you keep your foot off the gas. haha

  • doing those two thing's will save you from having to rebuild your clutch. call me a dumbass or a asshole or whatever you want. just tryin to help ya'll out before you burn your shit out.

  • theird 2500 rpm's is way to fucking low. that's how you bog out your motor. haha. little advice; when you are taking off from first, rev your rpm's up, let out on your clutch (don't drop it, or other words don't just take your foot off), right when you feel your car jump forward a little bit apply the right pressure onto the gas. when your between gear's clutch in shift drop the clutch hit the gas.

  • @209thomasjackson You don't want to suddenly let the clutch out in between gears or the car will jolt. Also, 2500-3 won't bog a motor. lol

  • @209thomasjackson you mean 1,500rpm? you can always shift at 2,500 if you want. I always shift at 1,500 driving around town and never let it drop below that when the engine is under load. I'll shift at 2,500 when I'm merging onto the freeway.

  • and this kid's is how you burn out a cluch. haha. first of all you don't slowly let out on the clutch untell the clutch "grab's". that's the first thing you will do to burn your clutch out. second of all between gear's you don't let out slowly either. that's also how you burn out a clutch.

  • Wait, so why does it make you go into 4th?

  • @A4Eaton Something they did with the GTO. When you are driving slowly and hit a certain RPM, a light comes on indicating 1>4. It locks out second and makes you go directly to 4th. I'm pretty sure its to save gas, its really obnoxious though.

  • @BigKleib34 Wow. I feel like that would piss me off lol.

  • @BigKleib34 you can ignore that and go to third or just let the rpm drop and shift, also to the thomasjackson fella... daily driving around town, my gto doesnt touch over 2000rpm. with 400ft/lb or torque and the gearing these have, that isnt bogging what so ever.

  • @BigKleib34 My Trans Am does the same. I know SLP makes a shift eliminator so you don't have to do that, and its not too expensive

  • @BigKleib34 You can chage that by snipping the wire or doing a computer tune on the GTO.

  • sometimes i wish my car was a 6 speed. Good vid man!

  • @bigbomber5 Thanks! Appreciate the love.

  • Video 2: Rev matching

  • @KFCOrBust Hmm. Have a vague idea of that. May have to learn!!

  • @BigKleib34 Definitely! It's so much nicer to your clutch, flywheel, input shaft and gets rid of the herky jerky slip the clutch and watch the revs go up as you pop a downshift. lol I should make a video of rev matching in my T/A before the snow flies...

  • @KFCOrBust Yeah man. Heard that, snow is a BITCH. Putting the GTO down next week for the winter :(
