In the Philippines there is a soup called Dinuguan which is basically pig organs and skin, all parts, and the broth is mostly pig blookd and vinegar. As a kid I didn't mind it even though they told me that the meat came from monkey ears and hearts but now I'm not as into it as I used to be. I have always questioned the desire for Balut, the crunchy beak and chewy feet and bitter eyeballs just don't compare to waiting for the chicken to mature or eating it as an egg. So what's the point?
