One of the best performances that i've seen of this. I've always preferred Beckett's vocals to some of the others in recent years....he puts more "UMPH!" in it. LOVE IT!
Fantastic to find this video here. I was there at one of the concertnights back in 1997,and always tought the live version that they played there was the best version ever i heared of this song.
It's just a different interpretation of the song, Steve, if anything, I would say this vocal has a lot more soul than the original record, (although I'm obviously not knocking the original), but as far as I can see, you are spot on with your assessment of the current line-up - when it comes down to Alan singing lead vocals on this song, you know things are bad.
Hi, CS, the singer's name is Peter Beckett and he was with the band for several years, indeed, Richard Cottle was in the band when he first joined them. This keyboard player is Ollie Marland who played in Tina Turner's band and is a member of the orchestra rhythm section along with John Miles(guitar), Laurie Wisefield(guitar), Dale Davis(bass), and their own drummer, Stuart Elliot.
Cool!!! I love this music, but the question is WHEN was this show performed?

Wow, that's a long time without blinking - I bet your eyes were feeling a bit dry once you noticed.

I think this is one of the best live version I've ever seen! Do you have other app's videos from this concert?

Glad you enjoyed it, CWF.
Unfortunately I don't have any other APP songs from this particular concert...... I wish I did.

This is the great Alan Parsons Project with some all-time-parsons musicians like Ian Bairnson and Stuart Elliot.
Vocals are by Peter Beckett, not as good as the original ones.
Original Eric Woolfson Vocals are much better. Mick Mullins also does good in another live version.
I'd like to see Parsons Live, although people say they're not that good. It's one of my favourite bands.
R.I.P. Eric Woolfson

Who is that singing, he does a good job. And, who is on keyboard. Is that Rich Cottle?
