  • Quite possibly the most sinister application of a folksong I have ever heard...

  • what kind of radio is this?

  • @TheCOLETRAIN97 short wave radio

  • I'm receiving some signal on that frequency, sounds like alert or something similar, check it out. I'm checking every frequency bound to Poacher.

  • The conspiracy is that the numbers are codes to a One Time Pad which is a form of encryption [which if used correctly] is impossible to crack without actually knowing the code, so basically we may never [in our lifetime] know what these numbers mean. i say this because to my knowledge most numbers stations are on an infinite loop.

  • i wonder what means theses numbers

  • 93309 17601 88590 88089

    Haha, of course! Great joke!

  • @hathawbj Oh wow! I finally get it! That must be the greatest joke ever!

  • You know it would be more useful if it could broadcast a speaking clock or better yet, house music all night long!

  • Some think that the music helps the undercover spies tune in the broadcast. Very cool stuff to be heard on shortwave!

  • isn't that the music from the cadbury's fudge ad ..?

  • Believe it or not, the tune is called "The Lincolnshire Poacher"
