Back in the 1972-1974 timeframe, large-to-medium size corporations (especially those whose business was secondarily related to the auto industry), offered ~mostly~ non-cash incentives to their employees who bought new cars. It gets no headlines, but it's good for employee morale, AND boosts the economy as a whole along the lines of, "a rising tide lifts all boats." It works. Do what works.
