Hey, I'm looking for a living bird with these characteristics.
I saw it while in the Amazonas. At the river.
They told me it was quite common, I've also seen some documentaries on discovery channel. I think they have "fingers" when they are born, but they fall afterwards.
They look pretty much the same as 0:01 and are all brown.
I saw them in Venezuela.
Can you give me any advice on where to look for their name?
@Gabgett The name of the bird you described is the Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin). It's young are born with a claw on each forelimb which they use to climb amongst the branches of trees. They are herbivorous and only found in South America. Fortunately they aren't endangered at the moment either so they're quite common.
@Gabgett It was only after I wrote that comment that I realised someone else had already answered you lol, so you probably knew all about the bird anyway. Sorry about that :)
Okay I walked into that one :> But is there a particular site, or just going over google images and finding art done? Heh just nevr really imagined that recently found dinosaurs/birds and such be so popular to draw :> Not that I'm complaining, I've enjoyed many of your videos and it's pretty cool seeing them.
