  • This is AWESOME!!! I just finished watching a playthrough of this today an this game looks cool! Then later i searched "top 10 ds homebrew programs" and this was #7 so i searched it up and THIS game was on it!! EPIC!!!!!

  • lol wtf

  • i got this on the ipod touch. I didn't want to use up the space on the ds. I would rather download free ds games.

  • Did you read the discription of the video? No, you didn't. It clearly states:

This video is the intro to Day of the Tentacle.

That's why you don't see any styles play.

  • hey guys, i need help! The Game works perfectly, but i cannot save.My savegames (after restarting the DS) are always called "invalid savegame". Other games like indiana jones and monkey island work without this error?thanks

  • So great to replay this game on the DS!

  • best game ever

  • good game

  • I got the original game, how do I use it with Scumm on the DS? I mean, it's an exe.-file? Do I have to patch/change/alter it in any way? Please help. Thanks!

  • Check out the website he said on the discription. It says somewhere in the website what files you need.

  • do you even know about scummvm? if so, just put all the files EXCEPT the executable because scummvm replaces it

  • Thanks. I didn't notice, that I only had to locate the game-directory (not a specific file) in Scumm to start the game. Threw the executable in there, too. Didn't hurt...: )

  • it's most likely the smallest file anyway, yeah, if you read the readme file that comes with scummvm it has the individual listings of what files you need and don't need

  • You copy the MONSTER.sou (about 256MB) files along with all the files that have tentacle."something" in a folder called DOTT and if u know how to use Scumm it should be easy from there

  • un-freaking-believable...

  • awesome.. i want one

  • ok where can I download roms for this emu?

  • It isn't an emulator stupid. You have to BUY the games and use the files for ScummVM to work.

  • OMG the stupid one here is you ScummVM IS an emulator fucking dumb ass! Those games weren't designed to be played on the DS. Inform yourself before you decide to call someone stupid because you just show who is the stupid one here!

  • Most of the moderators on the site say it is not an emulator.

Even if it is one, BUY THE GAMES! It isn't as if they cost millions of pounds!

  • Well the problem is that I don't know where to get them thats why I asked I didn't mean to sound like if I wanted to illegally download them!

  • It runs games that use the Scumm engine(I think it's called the Scumm engine) The games should be available on ebay and at shops were people trade in their old stuff for cash. You should be able to find them somewhere. Hell, you may be able to find some of them on Abandonware sites and download them for free, non illegally. Try Home of the underdogs (An Abandonware site), which I must say is a good one.

  • Just as a small piece of advice, if you do get some Scumm VM games from an abandonware site, please research it's copyright status first, because some Abandonware sites still offer certain games for free, when their copyright has still not expired.

  • LOL are you serious ? Are you like a lawyer or Lucas arts retired official ? You're right you can still buy these games for like 5 dollars lol !

  • I am not a lawyer or anything. I am probably just watching out for your neck because I have OCD. But if you want to download them illegally, by all means, do it. It's not my problem. I am a Games and Interactivity student though, so I do have an idea how the industry works and how to build games.

  • LOL so how do you "build" games. Cybernaut? are you referring to say for example a nightly "build" or some bullshit junior college term that is supposed to encompass the entire creation of a game?

  • No dickhead, the creation of a game is a massive process, I was an arts games student , I was responsible for some of the scripting, level design and game art in my massive project. People in the process of creating a game, are assigned different roles. Some are programmers, some are just level designers, some are sound designers, some are 3D modellers, some are animators. Sometimes games can be made by one, it depends on the size of the game and the sort of game. You are an idiot.

  • And you are a douchebag who runs about youtube and other viral video sites and networking sandboxes telling people they should "support" the developers of a piece of software that is older than most users here on average. Why don't you do use a favor and just go build a website and preach to people there in the midst of fapping of to some fucking anime.

  • I did that because I have OCD you douchebag. Responsibility OCD. I end up caring too much about people, so I say things so they don't hurt themselves or do the wrong thing.

You are 27, and I am 22, but I am sure in the short time I have spent on this earth, I have a better picture of reality than you do. Yours is riddled with bullshit. Open your eyes.

  • You felt you had to stab me with your words, because you knew you did wrong. You just don't want to admit it. I am sure your the type that never owns up to anything. Everyone else is wrong but you. Well Guess what, today is the day where you can change that.

  • Ok listen son, I don't care how old you are. Responsible? like that comment I just removed from my profile you sent? Today is the day that I change the settings in my account and block you. Now sod off.

  • Whatever Flamer.

  • Really? you just dug up a 2 week old argument, and you label me a flamer? At least keep your bullshit comments active and throw your insults in a timely manner.

  • hahahaha, you were great fun to piss off, Thanks for letting me screw with you. Toodaloo! =)

  • No problem. And good luck in all of your future ventures...at Burgerking.

  • I enjoyed reading this argument +1 to you all

  • It's not an emulator. The games are written in a scripting language, and ScummVM is simply a replacement player EXE.

  • finally the reason for buying a ds!
