Simon Philips is the man. Look at drummers as Virgil Donati, omar hakim, dave weckl, vinni colaiuta, they are all technical excellent drummers but all a lack of good feel. Give it a raw edge with room for mistake. These drummers are like drumcomputers

There are a lot of paradiddles and other rudiments being played across different drums too. The hardest part of this groove is the timing and landing where you're supposed to, in the odd time sig.
